Description

This cache has been published for the Summer Scavenger Series

Well it isn't Easter yet, but that hasn't stopped the major supermarkets displaying Easter items before the rear lights of Santa's sleigh have faded into the distance.

Rather than over dosing on sugar, you are invited to join a healthier (at least, virtually healthier) Scavenger Hunt.

See if you can find the coordinates for the cache among the items you might normally hunt for in an Easter Scavenger Hunt.

The Kidspot website provides 10 tips of an Easter Egg Hunt

  • Supply non-chocolate prizes as rewards
  • Add a pinata for Easter fun
  • Use different coloured eggs by age (eg 3 year olds find red eggs etc) to avoid one child finding the lot and to foster cooperation
  • Draw a map
  • Hide the eggs in the house with small eggs trails to lead kids around the house
  • Add letters to each egg so that kids can make words
  • Keep a record of eggs for yourselg (number and locations)
  • Leave tell-tale bunny prints
  • Set hunt boundaries
  • Wrap an egg with a clue inside for the location of the next egg.

What ever you do, planning for Easter should start now if the supermarkets are to be believed.

Tonight’s soul goal was to find this one as well as the Australia Day one further along the beach. After coming back from the Australia Day cache I climbed bank to ground zero where I started searching armed with the required information as to its whereabouts, I was just about to grab the cache as some muggles walked along the beach, so I made out I was admiring the view till they past. I quickly grabbed the cache and signed my name and put it back before anyone else came along. TFTC Clan Cerberus

After all of the maintenance and dnf's on this cache, I thought it time to see if I could find it on second attempt. Success!! TFTC Clan Cerberus

After DEZ055's recent DNF we dropped by today to check on this cache. Sure enough there was no cache in the hidding spot. After an extended search we were about to leave the area when we spotted something familiar some distance away amongst the drift wood and stones. It was the cache container with contents in tact. We returned it to its spot but placed it inside the tree guard around the correa. We will keep an eye on it.

Ready to go again - still a 400ml sistema.

We searched and searched for over 20 minutes everywhere that matched the hint but we just couldn’t find this cache, we thought after this one had been replaced that we would find it easier than it was today. Sad

Up to this point I was coping ok...but wow, the wind was even stronger here. Looked for a good 10 minutes before I managed to spy the cache tucked away as per the hint. The cache was quickly grab, the log signed even quicker before the cache was replaced as found. Set a bit of record for getting back to car after this one.

Thanks again 2y'stassies.....glad there as no-one at the near 'place'.

We spent some time nutting out some puzzles a couple of nights ago and decided to spend a couple of days in the Ulverstone region and see what we could find - and hopefully add to the Tasmanian cause for the States Of The Nation summer 2017/18 game. Thanks so much 2y'stassies for your efforts in providing so many great and varied puzzles to solve and then hiding and maintaining such well stocked caches. Awesome effort by you guys and we had a great couple of days.

Catching up with some logs I missed while on a caching trip in the Northwest with GooseandEgg. Sorry I put them off and then lost my fieldnotes.
Thanks for another great cache.

This was a fun little puzzle. The kids enjoyed 'helping' me do it.We parked near GZ and followed a little track then along the rocks until we were close. We overshot up the bank and disturbed a jack jumper nest. They went absolutely feral, as did we trying to avoid them. No bites thank goodness. We found the cache not far from them but a safe enough distance to feel comfortable. Still got time for a couple more before the event TFTC

Found on a trip down to Ulverstone for an event. I also found the jack jumper nest - should have read the other logs first to avoid disaster ! Then I found the cache further away from the nest. What a great cache. Thanks 2y'stassies - you have been very busy putting caches out,, thanks

Got lucky with puzzle...solved quite quick...then off to gz this morning. Beware...cache is not on top of bank...but a nest of jack jumpers are....nasty bite too...standing right on top of the little blighters. Cache found with exc coords. No other logs so FTF a bonus.
TFTC 2y'stassies....thoroughly enjoyed...cheers sirius.
