Description

Go Team Australia

The Summer Scavenger Series required a geocache hide with the word Australia. Go Team Australia! Hidden along the Western Freeway Path with a lot of geocaches by caughtatwork and I this cache should be easy to find as it was easy to hide. Look for a 1 litre sistema container hidden in the trees. Please replace the coverings so it can't be seen from the path.

I decided to continue exploring the western bike trails... this time the Western Freeway was my target, so I caught the train to Sunshine to ride the last section of the Kororoit Creek before continuing westward.

A fine evening, and a mostly successful hunt (apart from a couple of fruitless scrambles in the bushes), and edging closer to the 10% target I want to maintain.

Thanks, GabGab.

#GA1866 - 10:54; Day two of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. Our major goal for the week is to complete the SSS and other series along the Western Freeway/Ring Road and to then collect enough GCA caches around Docklands to bring our total finds for the day to 100+ which would build our trophy cabinets a bit more as we complete a few more 'missions'. This was one of 82 finds in just under 6 hours along the various series, where we only had the one DNF! We were now headed east on stage two of the run. Apologies for the mostly generic logs. Back at the next section of series and again it was just a matter of following the GPSr, dropping the bike and grabbing the cache. In most cases it was that simple and we just plodded along cache after cache. I think we were starting to slow as the wind picked up...nothing kills a ride like riding into the wind.

All was good though and unless stated, all caches were found in good condition.

Thanks for this one GabGab....

A very easy find today, amongst the rocks and the spiders that seem to have moved in since the last find. Ick!
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for hiding this geocache for us to find here today.

Like you we also hid a cache with Australia in the name for the Summer Scavenger Series.

We enjoyed finding your cache GabGab. It was in excellent condition. We hope you enjoyed the SSS as much as we did and congratulations on being part of phoenix, the winning team.

I've still a few hours of sunshine left.

Riding on a little further I soon found the cache.

Another blank log!!
