Description

The Start or the End or the Middle of the Western Freeway Path

I'm not quite sure whether this is the start, the end or the middle of the Western Freeway Path. It doesn't really matter, there is a geocache hidden here, along with dozens of others along the Western Freeway Path so grab your walking shoes or your bike or your scooter, your segway or anything you like to get you moving down this series of geocaches. A 400ml sistema container painted the same colour at the hiding location is what you are seeking and what might add to your challenges. Don't panic! As with all caughtatwork hides there is always a good hint. A found cache is a cache with karma.

Logs

Back on the trail again today, searching for caches on the Western Freeway Path and Western Ring Path.

Our last day of caching the trails, with a target of 35 caches. We managed a total of 21 finds and 14 DNF'S.

Log book was sodden but we managed to leave our name in it.

Many thanks caughtatwork for all the caches you have placed, we appreciate the time and effort gone into placing them.

Following on from my earlier failures I spent a half hour in the service centre carpark, catching up with my friend "Spud" as he made his way home to Streatham after visiting his parents in Koonwarra.
This was the nearest set of caches and I was fortunate to be able to safely park close by the cache.
An easy find after consulting the hint but sadly the ravages of time and inclement weather have taken their toll here. Think
The contents are quite wet but I did manage to dry a page enough to make my mark.
Another 1,041 *unloved* days banked here this evening. Cool
Thanks for the cache and the trail caughtatwork.

I decided to continue exploring the western bike trails... this time the Western Freeway was my target, so I caught the train to Sunshine to ride the last section of the Kororoit Creek before continuing westward.

Which brought me here... so I guess, today, this is the start.

Thanks, C@W.

#GA1873 - 11:07; Day two of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. Our major goal for the week is to complete the SSS and other series along the Western Freeway/Ring Road and to then collect enough GCA caches around Docklands to bring our total finds for the day to 100+ which would build our trophy cabinets a bit more as we complete a few more 'missions'. This was one of 82 finds in just under 6 hours along the various series, where we only had the one DNF! We were now headed east on stage two of the run. Apologies for the mostly generic logs. Back at the next section of series and again it was just a matter of following the GPSr, dropping the bike and grabbing the cache. In most cases it was that simple and we just plodded along cache after cache. I think we were starting to slow as the wind picked up...nothing kills a ride like riding into the wind.

All was good though and unless stated, all caches were found in good condition.

Thanks for this one C@W.....

This little group of caches were published while we were planning our first trip to the big island this year so of course we had to add a short walk along a pathway we had not visited.

After a smooth trip across the strait this cache was our first stop. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find but extraction took a little longer. Cache and contents were in good condition.

First one done and dusted so it was off down the path.

Thanks for the cache caught@work and for the chance of a morning walk on a new,to us, path.

This was the eastern leg before the return trek.

Last and a nice quick stop.

Found and signed before returning back.
