Reviewed previous logs to see that this one was about 20m out... quick find once we had this info.

Mrs jinta and I had some spare time today so we set off to Whiteman Park find some GCA caches! We had a lot of solved puzzle caches to find and this was one of them. Cheers for placing this one. jinta29

I was on my 4 days off and decided to head out to Whiteman park to clean up a few caches today. I spent a few weeks solving the C series and some of the P and W series. It was fun solving several of the puzzles in particular the jigsaws. I love solving jigsaw puzzles. As yet i have not solved all of them as i need some help with some of them. I printed off the Whiteman Park map and plotted all the coordinates into my phone on cgeo and then roughly plotted them on the map. This then gave me the opportunity to work out where to park and what caches to get from each parking spot.

I parked at a few different locations and did large loop walks collecting caches one of which was quite large due to the Keith Maine Centre being closed. I spent about 6 and a half hours walking and logging caches in the heat which was quite draining today. Luckily i had plenty of water and fruit to keep me going. The easterly breeze offered some respite from the heat but more so in the shade. All up i walked 10+km's which i did enjoy and only saw 6 kangaroos and one bobtail lizard.
All up i found 30 of the 31 solved caches in the series.
This cache had me stumped for a minute or two but after reading other logs i too found this cache at least 20m from the solved coordinates and signed the log.
Thanks for the 3 great series Chwiliwr, Gwiber, TBH and Gwar ClappingClapping

Out for an afternoon of caching in Whiteman Park with Lazarus. The idea was to find the rest of the solved puzzles however I seem to have left a few to come back to at a later date. This was the first find for the day. Lazarus had been here before and failed to find the cache so with a second set of eyes we hoped to come up with the goods. We began our search but came up empty handed although the area looked promising. We read the hint and it seemed to agree although there was no cache to be found. I decided to backtrack and while walking around spotted the cache peeking out from its cover. The coordinates had us about 20m away. Glad to have the find under our belt. Many thanks for the puzzle and cache TBH.

Solved this one some time ago, but waited until today with my statistics saying 27th of month has been my slackest day; plus coincides with Saturday, geo-buddy hhheddy available to keep me company. Thank you Chwiliwr, TBH, Gwiber & Gwawr for this stimulating series of mental challenge variety.
NOTE: found this approx 20m NNW from solved coordinates; suggest subtract 010 from South and 008 from Easting.

Have solved about 2/3 of the mysteries now, so slowly getting here to log them all. Had a couple of hours this afternoon, so decided to tick a few off my list.

The first part of this puzzle was excruciating, but definitely worth it to help solve the others. At GZ, like previous finders, I found the co-ords a little bit off base, but thankfully the hint aided a look a bit further afield and soon came across the cache.

I'd like to say thanks for the puzzle, but I might bite my tongue!! LaughingLaughing But I'll say thanks for the cache instead! Very HappyVery Happy

Took the family to Whiteman Park and did a few walks around the trails to do the puzzle caches. Managed to stay dry by sheltering when it looked like showers but got wet walking back to the car from the final cache. All caches were found OK and apart from one in good condition.

Log signed and cache returned as found.

Thank you for the puzzle and cache.

My Grandparents took me to Whiteman Park to do some caches. They got wet going back to the car after the last cache but I stayed dry. I could hear the steam engine whistle all the time and saw it on the tracks when we were near them.

Granddad signed the log signed for me.

Thank you for the cache.

Yes, after a great deal of perseverance I cracked the cipher! And of course I just had to get out to Whiteman Park the very next day to find it. Like R0gue, I found this cache some distance away (about 15m), but after taking a look at the hint, it made sense to expand the search and it only took about 10 minutes before I discovered it. I will be back in the area, once I solve the rest of the series. TFTC tbh

Woohoo!! FTF at 5:11pm!

Thanks for the hint! I found the cache in the first place I looked today, with the GPS saying 20m to go! Shocked
My coords were -9S and -6E of the ones I calculated.

Thanks for the puzzle and the cache tbh!

Try as I might, at the beginning of my walk today and again at the end, I could not find this one. I scratched around reeds, paperbarks, gum trees, blackboys, and various other bushes. Crawled through them and under them, on my hands and knees, and still came up empty handed.

I'll be back...
