Today I took three hitchhikers for a wander through the Terraced Gardens at Island Bend. Well there were once magnificent terraced gardens here anyway. NPs removed all the foreign flora from the area. I remember walking through here about 30 years ago and there were still lots of different plants here, predominantly Lupins which were taking over the place quite invasively. My three companions liked the old garden ruins so much they decided to stick around for a bit.

Skeletosaurus thought sitting under the garden seat was more to their liking than on it. When I last saw Fred they were trying to play hide and seek in a tree hollow. And Happy was happy they found something to work on with their sledgehammer- I last saw them near what may have once been a pond that really did need fixing if it was meant to be one.

I tried taking photos of them at the last spot I saw them, but they all seemed a little camera shy, hiding from me. I've attached the photo anyway just in case someone wants to befriend them and needs help finding them. They are clever little hiders!

Have fun in your future travels little buddies.

Ho ho hello. this gnome looks a little like Father Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I left a couple of presents at the place I picked this up from. Not really presents, just 2 other moveable caches.

~~ Dropped Off ~~

Fred has found some accommodation in a small hotel at Robertson, not as warm and cosy as the accommodation he just left, but he is keen to get moving again.
Fred has taken a trip down to Wollongong in the car and back up the mountain again where he liked the view better and decided on a temporary stop.

19-May-22
Went for a motorbike ride to Berrima. My bike needed a battery maintenance charge session and brother was it hard to get started. lucky thete is a steep hill outside my house as a clutch start effort was needed. So I headed out to Berrima to seek out Fred. I had no Gps so had to engage some senses and quickly I had Fred in hand from a stump. Covered so well it was through a little gap I saw a tiny spot of red after moving some covering away. I cleaned him off and upside down he crawled into the front of my jacket and off we went back home. he was quite cosy cuddle up to my upper portions and is now sitting in the northern sun in the window. I will have to think about a good spot to place him.

1st up I would like to apologise for keeping the movable for too long, could list many excuses & reasons but I won’t. I did this same long drive to drop off movables in this area 10 months ago & back then I was staring into lockdown with dunny paper like buying a gold bar / nugget & everything else flying of the shelves. 10 + months on I feel we are A lucky country (with some miss steps) – just look at the US & the EU & we are lucky.
So, no QR codes & masks needed today as I stayed away from all – breakfast (hot – toast & toasties & coffee machine) in the bush of the main HWY & rest break stops away from everyone, not even a service station needed - caches were in areas of low people numbers or nil. I set this capability up in lockdown. I look at it like traveling in remote areas you are away from everybody. At the moment I feel it is safer that way.
It was a GOOD long drive today – clocked up 730Km’s & very much enjoyed it with caches / trigs found
Now to the movable location: this is a side road of the main HWY

Found at the moveables event at Ebenezer. Thanks for the moveable it was found during the summer games

The latest Geocaching Australia game runs from 01-Dec-2018 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2019 23:59:59 AEST

For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath.

A moving cache, by nature, may have been moved since you last determined its location. It may have been picked up but not yet rehidden so it's considered 'in-transit'. There is no foolproof method of determining where a cache is simply by the log types that have been placed against the cache.

Found this one at the Meet the Moveables (NSW Edition) event. Thanks for sharing.

After a failed mission to join the crew doing the ‘BLACK OPs - Carpe Noctem’ (GC32WN6) cache this weekend due to being unable to get time off work (on Friday and Saturday) and other commitments arising, Sad I did however sweet talk my way into having Sunday off. Smile This then lead me to take a look around and see what was available within my free day to make it a day out. After taking a look around the GC and GCA caches, I found 2 events on the same day close to each other and I decided on attending them both. Smile After this I took a look at what caches I could find along the way and made my trail to make it an enjoyable day out. Something I didn’t expect was, a FTF which was on cache GA13305. Big Grin This added to the fun. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found and for the fun and enjoyment I had while finding them. Big Grin

I spent the morning in the company of some incedible cachers from Canberra and Temora at an Event organised by Sol de Lune to enlighten us on the new GCA Game. I for one understand the game better now so thanks to SDL and Black Bunny for enlightening us. The weather was hot and sunny so at times chairs were moved around to stay in the shade. Masses of Movables appeared and were eagerly found but not moved by all present. Very Happy

A quick pickup of moveables today for a secret meeting to take place in just a little while. Your geocache would like to join the secret activities so it may not move for a little while but it will be safe and sound and will be moved along (and hopefully logged quite a bit) in the not too distant future.
