Description
Fairy Dell area and trail leads to many different places of interest.
The Fairy Dell Area offers a shady alternative for the heat of summer. As you descend from the street, you will feel the temperature drop. Beyond the picnic area you will find a lush rainforest-like area along easy to walk tracks. You will come across a number of beautiful waterfalls and creek crossings and the birds are singing constantly. This section of Fairy Dell has picnic tables and is a perfect spot to relax on a warm summer's day.

It was our last full day in the mountains for this years trip, so we decided to do some more caches around Springwood, the first area we cached in down here 6 years ago, always a nice spot. 21 finds with a handful of DNFs, we had a great day in beautiful weather....
Dug out from under the leaf litter, contents were surprisingly dry.... TFTC!

With MrT out at SES training I decided to go to Springwood to do some caches I have been meaning to do for a few weeks. Rang WaywardWoman to see if she wanted to go for a walk, and then met her at the top of the track. This first one was a quick find. Log sheet was soggy to I put in a dry sheet of paper in a plastic bag. TFTC

#GA2487 - 16:45; Day one of a caching mission in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After an early start in Canberra, we collected a few of the newer caches along the highway before we reached the foot of the mountains and started the major part of the mission, to collect GCA caches to help us meet some dragonZone trophy requirements. We had enjoyed a great start having picked up a few caches already, including the 10K series, as we were now headed around in the hills. After a bit of urban caching in Springwood, it was time to head bush again for a few more down in the Dell. Picked up one near the entrance and then headed down to the carpark and set off in search of this one. Located an empty container, so added a temporary log and replaced it as per the hint. Up from Canberra with LuckyL10n for a 2 day run around the Blue Mountains....
Found what we think it is the cache, but there was no log. Submitted a sheet of paper, but no plastic bag with it, with our names and left the cache in place, covered with a bit camo.
Thanks for the cache Lachnic.....might need a check just to be sure.

Found this one early this morning whilst doing a GA cache run in the area. Initially came in on the wrong level, but after spotted the hide location noticed the container several feet out from the hide. Everything appears to there although logsheet was wet. After signing repackaged everything back up and rehide. TFTC lachnic62

It was such a lovely morning that we decided on a quick walk through one of the nicest parts of Springwood. This was our first find for the walk. This one is quite close to where I originally placed my Springwood Post cache (had to move it elsewhere due to a clash with a now archived multi).
Easy find to start with. Thanks

Came with the CO for a walk down this trail that I have been down a number of times in the past so they could find out if the coords were accurate. This one had me walking in one durection wondering why the GPSr was staying on 16m then went another direction still 16m eventually picked up the trail and soon had the cache in hand to sign the log. Thanks for the cache lachnic62
