Description
Fairy Dell area and trail lead to many different places of interest.
The Fairy Dell Area offers a shady alternative for the heat of summer. As you descend from the street, you will feel the temperature drop. Beyond the picnic area you will find a lush rainforest-like area along easy to walk tracks. You will come across a number of beautiful waterfalls and creek crossings and the birds are singing constantly.
A nice stable bridge to cross the creek and a place to place something magnetic. I had ideas of placing a larger container, and may do that later, but I wondered about how hight the water might rise in a big rain storm. We will see...as it was raining today and more is one the way.
By the way, this is not a troll!

A quick punch in the late afternoon – 3 from 6 AGC caches along this track found today – found the likely hiding spot & the hint matches but no cache – will need a cache check on this 1 – anyway thanks for bringing me here today.
was looking for a few GA caches but didn't find many today. although the hint should have made it simple I still did not find it. will have a look next time I'm walking the trail.
Arrived at GZ and hada nice quick find. Signed log and returned as found. Decided that was enough for today and began the hike back up the stairs! TFTC
#GA2490 - 17:00; Day one of a caching mission in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After an early start in Canberra, we collected a few of the newer caches along the highway before we reached the foot of the mountains and started the major part of the mission, to collect GCA caches to help us meet some dragonZone trophy requirements. We had enjoyed a great start having picked up a few caches already, including the 10K series, as we were now headed around in the hills. After a bit of urban caching in Springwood, it was time to head bush again for a few more down in the Dell. Picked up one near the entrance and another near the carpark then it was off into the rainforest. Even though the GPSr was struggling under the tree cover, we were really enjoying the wander through the area. The name was a bit of a give away for this one and we enjoyed our quickest find so far. Found this one early this morning whilst doing a GA cache run in the area. Approached from the downhill direction along the creek and made an easy find. TFTC lachnic62

Third one for the walk, and an easy find this time. I didn't realise at first that there was a magnet & wondered why it was so hard to grab this cache. Then I changed position, pulled harder & finally got it. Don't think this one will be washed away, no matter how high the water gets!
Thanks
Thanks
Came with the CO for a walk down this trail that I have been down a number of times in the past so they could find out if the coords were accurate. For me this was a quick find I usually have problems finding caches under bridges usually give up, nothing to do with claustrophobia, more that there isn't as much light. Well there was plenty of light for finding this one. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache lachnic62
