Description
A moveable cache with a mission to travel around Australia
This moveable cache has been published for the Summer Scavenger Series. A relay is a race, with the baton moving from player to player, never staying with one for very long. This relay baton wants to travel around Australia with team after team visiting every state and territory. Help it along by logging a find with a green tick and a move with a blue arrow. Move on within a couple of days and hide somewhere safe from prying eyes. Don't forget to sign the logbook.
Happy racing!

Looking forward to this one but alas it wasn't there. We looked for around 10 minutes, through all the overgrowth, but still nothing. May I request that the last person who moved it come and check on it?

Looks like this moveable is still at the above location. If any cacher is in the area, why not stop by and help it on it's way again...
Down for an appointment at the Base. Jusat checked this one and will grab it if still here in a couple days.

Found on a drive around town looking for some GC caches.
Not so much traffic today and at least I can park here for a minute.
Will move on again somewhere nearby in a few days.

We looked for a safe hide for Relay Round Australia from Glen Innes down the New England Highway and finally found one with a good pull off at the top of The Devils Pinch. It's also where you turn off to see Thunderbolts Cave so well worth taking the time to stop for a look. The baton is a great cache to hide, it doesn't look out of place at infrastructure. TFTM sharnie's tribe. PS Hate how auto correct wants to call you sharpie'e tribe - and now notice has got away with it, sorry.
Didn't realise when we picked up the baton today that we previously found it 18 months ago in Coober Pedy travelling with another geocacher. Anyway, great to find a movable cache for the Journey or Destination game and the view at Mallanganee Lookout is always worth a visit. TFTC sharpie's tribe.

Now I'm sorry I've had this one so long. I haven't been able to relay to anywhere nice to leave this cache. So today, I headed out for some geocaching and found a nice spot that this batten can rest while waiting for a new cacher to come along. It's a Malanganee Lookout, with views of Mount Warning, Kyogle and out toward Byron Bay. Beautiful spot. Hope someone calls by soon, and keeps the relay alive!
I was in this park today collecting/placing dinosaurs, and attempting my first Augmented Reality cache, when I had this batten passed back to me! There it was, safe and sound in the Gnome Tree. I've got a trip down the coast a bit further, so I thought we would pick this up and take it with us. Great to see the cache again. My kids loved running around with it (and attempting to juggle with it at one stage)!

Gee, if the real Commonwealth Games relay baton took a week to be passed from hand to hand like the last move of this cache, then the games would still be going.
My friend/minion Suzy was going out to hide FourFiddy dinosaur so he is ready for the next stage of his journey so I asked her to hide this one as well. She said they are now hiding together and hopes that whoever picks up the dinosaur might pick up the baton or visa-versa.
Anyway, the baton is now hiding in a hollow of the Gnome Tree in one of my favourite parks. I call it the Gnome tree because there is a waypoint for my Augmented Reality cache.

Here I was, setting up my pocket query ready for the dino cache race when I see that there is a different moveable in town. How exciting. We were going to down to Coolangatta anyway so I told Suzy and Pete that we had to go and find it. Its lucky it was a dull rainy day because there was almost no-one up at the look out. We found it pretty quickly, although it doesn't really matter because we were going to take it with us anyway and hide it somewhere else.
Thank you Sharnie's tribe for the moveable, and thank you MattyRX for putting it close enough for me to get to.

Well I'm a bit slow in the relay race - I've had this for almost a month, and didn't travel too many miles, but it's up at a sunny lookout at Coolangatta on the Gold Coast. Surely it wont rest here for long. Loves finding this one and hope it gets to see lots more of Australia!
I saw that this cache had landed in the area recently, so made the trek from Lismore to grab it. Found it nice and easily. I'll move it somewhere very soon!

Back north again this time dropping off the relay batten near Ballina in North Eastern NSW.
I saw Maldawg (My dad) place this one on our drive yesterday. Early this morning we actually went back to this same place and it was snowing!!!! The first time I have ever seen snow. We are driving back North today and I will take this one for a drive.
I have had this one in my possession for far too long, a family trip to Sydney and Bathurst was a good opportunity to give this one some distance. This position is near a sign which states that the height is 1365m above sea level. I dropped on a trip to Jenolan Caves which is just down the hill to the east of here.
Unarchiving as last finder has confirmed they are still in possession of the cache and will rehide it soon
I have this cache in my possession again. During the holiday period I had left it at my parents home in NSW by mistake but now I can confirm that I have it again and will hide it in Toowoomba in the near future
This moveable seems to have been found and removed in December 2017, however to date it has not been relocated.
As this is now over 6 months ago, the chances of the cache being relocated are minimal. The previous finder was contacted regarding the relocating of the cache, however no action was taken. As a result, and to keep the Geocaching Australia database clean and up to date, we are archiving the cache.
If the cache owner can confirm that the cache has be relocated, they can post an unarchive log and the cache will be back in the game.

Moved today to a very interesting spot where you can see 3 giant metal Cockatoos. The relay baton is on the move again. Sorry for the delay, i kept seeing this sculpture when I visit my sister and i have been meaning to place a cache here so I though the relay would do nicely.
1st cache for today in my adventures a long way from my home base to get some Xmas in July gifts unwrapped. Quick stop here in the industrial estate to run over and grab this moveable. It was good to read some of the other familiar competitors names in the log book. TFTC Sharnies Tribe and quick move GT54

Grabbed this one to move a little further north over the coming couple of weeks.
Will relocate in that time.

I've not had a lot of luck getting out to drop these off, and I feel like a bit of a fool for doing so
I'd take them to Melbourne with me tomorrow, but I think that there's a few local cachers who haven't seen these yet. So I'll leave them here.

Alice trip 2017. Day 12. Today was the third day of the Alice Springs Red Center event. The day took us on the Larapinta broad loop to the chasms and Hermansberg. A very long day but plenty of great places to see. This moveable was found around the campsite before we left.
Thanks

Made it to the Event at Alice Springs. In the hands of Albida33.
Met whitewebbs in Coober Pedy at a cache and they had a stash of moveables in their car. This was one of them.
