Description

"Would you believe . . . " and "The Old ..... Trick" are common recognised phrases.

The secret agent Maxwell Smart used many novel gadgets when pursuing KAOS. Despite his bumbling, with Agent 99 as his intelligent and trustworthy sidekick, Agent 86 thwarted KAOS by luck more than ability. Maxwell Smart was probably one of the early adopters of technology we now all take for granted. Identify that technology and you will be able to solve the following puzzle.

Don’t go to the listed co-ordinates, as it may be in private property and the cache is not located there anyhow. Use the puzzle below to find the actual cache location.

Having solved the puzzle for a while, and being in the general area to find another cache, I decided to find this one too.

I tried finding this cache from inland, but gave up. On the way back, I found it via the beach. The cache was in good condition. It was nice to see another cache in the area.

Thanks 2y'stassies for the cache Very HappyDancing

This afternoon after we finished work we decided to make a last minute dash on some caches to get our find numbers up for the blitz game. In total we attempted 8 cache find and we managed to find them all Very Happy
After thinking there was a walking track down to the beach we got half way down and it ended but the walkway was spotted to our left. Once at ground zero the cache took a bit to reveal itself but eventually found in good order Clan Cerberus

Thanks 2y's for replacing the cache. We have been thoroughly enjoying your caches. We trotted down tonight to grab the cache after the CO's were on top of their game as always in the prompt replacement of missing caches. TFTC ClappingClan Cerberus

Given the previous log, we went to check on the cache this evening. The first thing that we noticed is the tremendous growth in the coastal vegetation. We didn't want to trample the new growth but are reasonably confident that the cache is in there somewhere. So we have replaced the cache closer to the edge so that no trampling is required. This is only a variation of about 2m. So we have not changed the puzzle as the variation is within the limits of accuracy of GPS units. On the other hand, the hint has been updated.

Wow....wasn't the wind blowing here today. Add that to the rain and I was really asking myself what was I doing here!! Thanks goodness for the hint...otherwise I might have given it away. All that said, once the cache was in hand, I scrawled my name in the log, retuned the cache to it's hidey hole and then turned around and headed back to the car. Staying to enjoy the temp in the car now....

Thanks again guys.....

We spent some time nutting out some puzzles a couple of nights ago and decided to spend a couple of days in the Ulverstone region and see what we could find - and hopefully add to the Tasmanian cause for the States Of The Nation summer 2017/18 game. Thanks so much 2y'stassies for your efforts in providing so many great and varied puzzles to solve and then hiding and maintaining such well stocked caches. Awesome effort by you guys and we had a great couple of days.

A quick find when we reached GZ. I thought I had the right coordinates but a little unsure as this one didn't have a coordinate checker on the page. A lovely winter afternoon for caching, really enjoyed being out and about. TFTC and getting us to use the grey matter

Catching up with some logs I missed while on a caching trip in the Northwest with GooseandEgg. Sorry I put them off and then lost my fieldnotes.
Thanks for another great cache.

I remember this show so well. I used to love watching it after school. The cone of silence was always a __________ and made me laugh. I wonder how Max and 99 would communicate these days?
When we arrived at GZ and found the cache we joked about how small it was. It was only small in comparison to the huge ones we had been finding but still quite big compared to most geocaches I have found.
OK, back to the car on a much easier path and off to the event. Thanks for a fun morning 2y'stassies

Set off to grab a few of the new caches in the area today and walk the dogs at the same time. With this one having no geochecker we were dubious that we had worked it out correctly but there it was exactly where the GPS pointed us. Unfortunately we didn't check the tides first so we had a difficult walk along the stones to get to two of the caches.
Pretty pleased that we were correct in recognising the photos for this one but then we have been here quite a few times over the summer. Thanks.

Found today on a caching trip down to Ulverstone to attend an event. So many caches and so little time. Quick find due to very accurate coordinates. Thanks 2y'stassies

Had some spare thinking time today and soon had puzzle sorted. Made it way harder than it was but got there in the end....lol.
Made my way to gz where accurate coords led to a quick find on a well stocked cache, which is in pristine condition. Many thanks 2y'stassies for placing all these caches for us all to enjoy. Thoroughly enjoyed the hunt on another top notch cache....cheers sirius. Very HappyVery HappyClappingClappingDancing

Out and about for the Clan Minotaur Summer Scavenger Series 2016/17 Clan Minotaur

One of several caches we found whilst in the area. Another great puzzle and a reminder of an iconic TV show.

Made a quick find once at GZ and a blank log book so claiming joint [*FTF*] with whitewebbs @ 10.55 hrs.

Many thanks 2y'stassies for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

FTF @ 10:55 with Tassie Trekkers. We headed out today with Mum muggle in tow and decided to combine a family outing with caching and headed North west for the day, choosing appropriate caches to do so Mum Muggle wasn't left in the car too long.
We really enjoyed the puzzle as Agent 86 was a favourite character of mine. TFTP
