I was on my 4 days off and decided to head out to Whiteman park to clean up a few caches today. I spent a few weeks solving the C series and some of the P and W series. It was fun solving several of the puzzles in particular the jigsaws. I love solving jigsaw puzzles. As yet i have not solved all of them as i need some help with some of them. I printed off the Whiteman Park map and plotted all the coordinates into my phone on cgeo and then roughly plotted them on the map. This then gave me the opportunity to work out where to park and what caches to get from each parking spot.
I parked at a few different locations and did large loop walks collecting caches one of which was quite large due to the Keith Maine Centre being closed. I spent about 6 and a half hours walking and logging caches in the heat which was quite draining today. Luckily i had plenty of water and fruit to keep me going. The easterly breeze offered some respite from the heat but more so in the shade. All up i walked 10+km's which i did enjoy and only saw 6 kangaroos and one bobtail lizard.
All up i found 30 of the 31 solved caches in the series.
This cache had me stumped for a minute or two but then i looked in a different spot and bingo and signed the log.
Thanks for the 3 great series Chwiliwr, Gwiber, TBH and Gwar

Another one of the "C" series down. The first solve of this puzzle is still fresh in my mind though!
Loved the feature near this GZ and had a great walk around the park this morning!

Headed out after the event with Lazarus to pick up a few of the mystery caches we had solved. We managed to get a few crossed off the list but left others for another day. There was one where we had the incorrect coordinates, so will have to go back to the drawing board on that one, and we still have some awaiting that moment where it all clicks together. All the finds were made fairly quickly. Many thanks for the caches.

Solved this one some time ago, but waited until after today's event to find & sign log.
Walked the trails hearing frequent buzzing coming from nearby Model Aircraft Club.
Thank you Chwiliwr, TBH, Gwiber & Gwawr for this stimulating series of mental challenge variety.
This is #23 of 27 in series found today. We must return to locate others we've solved.

Took the family to Whiteman Park and did a few walks around the trails to do the puzzle caches. Managed to stay dry by sheltering when it looked like showers but got wet walking back to the car from the final cache. All caches were found OK and apart from one in good condition.
Log signed and cache returned as found.
Thank you for the puzzle and cache.

My Grandparents took me to Whiteman Park to do some caches. They got wet going back to the car after the last cache but I stayed dry. I could hear the steam engine whistle all the time and saw it on the tracks when we were near them.
Granddad signed the log signed for me.
Thank you for the cache.

It was one of the rare occasions that I get to have a casual weekend walk through the park these days, so I was most pleased to get the green light from the wife to take my daughter for some bush treasure hunting this afternoon. She has a keen eye, but is quite reluctant to lift or shift anything in the environment for fear that there may be some critter hiding there. We found a total of 19 overall in the park today, not a bad effort, given the dodgy weather. There was lots to look at here, but eventually I put faith in the hint provided and persevered in discovering a very well hidden container. TFTC tbh
Woohoo!! Happy Australia Day! FTF at 3:23pm!
I got home from the morning's riding and racing and saw these new puzzles published, and set about solving them. Once I had most of them done I headed out in the blistering heat to make the finds.
A quick and easy find here.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache tbh!
