Description

Another strangely named geocache for the 2016/7 Summer Scavenger Series

This cache will be a quick grab for commuters going to and coming from Mount Colah station. Contrasting sharply with the industrial harshness of its location, it is tastefully decorated in the warm colours of autumn light filtering through the changing leaves that will soon be with us again.

To protect the cache from unwanted attention, a bit of theatre might be needed in peak periods, but that's well within the abilities of any seasoned GCA player though.

The cache is not at the listed coordinates but a simple puzzle will reveal its position. A simple puzzle you ask? You can count on it!

If you reduce Mount Colah to a two-digit number as AB and then reduce both the South and East decimals of the listed coordinates by BA, you'll know where to look.

It looks like GZ has been impacted, sending this little cache to who knows where. A similar old container has been spruced up and recycled into this one. It's ready to be found again.

Had a good look but unfortunately did not find it. Thanks for the puzzle.

A quick find on Christmas Day while everyone was having a sleep in.

A bit warm today but I thought I would head out and get one for the States of the Nation game. Couldn't make anything work with the checker, but at least I knew what direction I had to go so just ended up brute forcing the thing. Initially checked around the building nearby which raised the T rating a bit but that proved fruitless, so continuing in the correct direction I soon found another obvious spot where it could be matching the hint and there it was with a quick feel under the object. One more off the list, hopefully with the cooler weather the next few days I can manage a few more for the game. Thanks Baktrak.

One of my rare visits to GCA and I noticed a cache very close to home. Solved with my second method and had log signed 10 minutes later. A bit of stealth required to replace. Thanks Baktrak

An afternoon collecting 5 GCA puzzles. This one the final one.

Had tried a few numbers but nothing seemed to make the checker happy so took a more logical tack and narrowed things down to 2 options. A quick check from above favoured one over the other. Checker still not happy but guess looked good so put it on the list today. At GZ the push bike provided suitable camo and after a short wait coast was clear to check the location. Was pleased to see the object and made the retraction. Looked like I was fixing a tyre. Quickly signed, left a slip of paper used earlier today and rehid after a short wait. Thanks Baktrak.

Finally grabbed an FTF today! As it was about 2pm there where many fewer muggles around than during the commute periods. Still a tricky grab with some timing required but using a scout tool made this easier. A cooler day to be targeting some scavenger points, many more around I'll have to leave for another time! Cheers!
