I was on my 4 days off and decided to head out to Whiteman park to clean up a few caches today. I spent a few weeks solving the C series and some of the P and W series. It was fun solving several of the puzzles in particular the jigsaws. I love solving jigsaw puzzles. As yet i have not solved all of them as i need some help with some of them. I printed off the Whiteman Park map and plotted all the coordinates into my phone on cgeo and then roughly plotted them on the map. This then gave me the opportunity to work out where to park and what caches to get from each parking spot.
I parked at a few different locations and did large loop walks collecting caches one of which was quite large due to the Keith Maine Centre being closed. I spent about 6 and a half hours walking and logging caches in the heat which was quite draining today. Luckily i had plenty of water and fruit to keep me going. The easterly breeze offered some respite from the heat but more so in the shade. All up i walked 10+km's which i did enjoy and only saw 6 kangaroos and one bobtail lizard.
All up i found 30 of the 31 solved caches in the series.
This cache was a very quick find and just as quick signing the log.
Thanks for the 3 great series Chwiliwr, Gwiber, TBH and Gwar.

Out today clearing out some solved puzzles in Whiteman Park with Lazarus. I managed to grab as many as I could but will have to return another day to finish off the series. I still have a few puzzles remaining on the to solve list and a few solved but yet to be found list. The cache was found replaced as found once the signing duties were completed. Many thanks Gwawr for the puzzle and the cache.

Came out to get the last of these series today, finished the puzzle at home and added to my list for the morning. At GZ, there was a large branch that had fallen and dislodged the cache enough for viewing, so it was a fairly easy find. I have replaced and recovered as I have found many of the other caches in the area.
Thanks for the cache Gwawr!

Well my GCA statistics were telling me my finds are low on Friday's + the 15th of the month; so when both coincided i had no excuse, must get outdoors & collect finds. Well you know you're on an adventure when you're following kangaroo-made tracks, little evidence of humans. Had solved this puzzle some months ago, but of course waited to attempt multiple in this series.
Found the container out in open at base of tree, but replaced up off ground.
Thank you Chwiliwr, tbh, Gwiber, Gwawr.

Out with the family doing the Whiteman Park puzzles and dodging the rain. Only got wet going back to the car after the last cache. Enjoyed the smell of the steam engine who passed us a few times on our various walks to the caches from where we had parked the car.

Took the family to Whiteman Park and did a few walks around the trails to do the puzzle caches. Managed to stay dry by sheltering when it looked like showers but got wet walking back to the car from the final cache. All caches were found OK and apart from one in good condition.

It was one of the rare occasions that I get to have a casual weekend walk through the park these days, so I was most pleased to get the green light from the wife to take my daughter for some bush treasure hunting this afternoon. She has a keen eye, but is quite reluctant to lift or shift anything in the environment for fear that there may be some critter hiding there. We found a total of 19 overall in the park today, not a bad effort, given the dodgy weather. My daughter picked out the correct host for the cache from about 80m out, but it took a while for her to muster up enough courage to reach into where it was hidden. TFTC Gwawr
Woohoo!! FTF at 5:42pm.
After solving this one earlier in the day I enjoyed a lovely walk to GZ, but had to search for quite a while before finding this well hidden cache.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Gwawr!
