Caching in Whiteman park today picking up a few solved puzzles and a few moveables. Nice day to be out in the park, plenty of Kangaroo's around enjoying the quiet conditions. many thanks Gwiber for the cache and puzzle.

I was on my 4 days off and decided to head out to Whiteman park to clean up a few caches today. I spent a few weeks solving the C series and some of the P and W series. It was fun solving several of the puzzles in particular the jigsaws. I love solving jigsaw puzzles. As yet i have not solved all of them as i need some help with some of them. I printed off the Whiteman Park map and plotted all the coordinates into my phone on cgeo and then roughly plotted them on the map. This then gave me the opportunity to work out where to park and what caches to get from each parking spot.
I parked at a few different locations and did large loop walks collecting caches one of which was quite large due to the Keith Maine Centre being closed. I spent about 6 and a half hours walking and logging caches in the heat which was quite draining today. Luckily i had plenty of water and fruit to keep me going. The easterly breeze offered some respite from the heat but more so in the shade. All up i walked 10+km's which i did enjoy and only saw 6 kangaroos and one bobtail lizard.
All up i found 30 of the 31 solved caches in the series.
This cache was a very quick find and just as quick signing the log as i did not want to get stung by the bees.
Thanks for the 3 great series Chwiliwr, Gwiber, TBH and Gwar.

Feeling a bit of a pro at solving these ones now, this was an easy one. I would love to see other's note files on these mystery caches.
Approaching GZ, I heard a familiar buzzing noise and yep, some bees have decided to set up a hive at GZ. Thankfully they were on the other side of the attribute, so I could come out unscathed, but this may be worth monitoring for future visits or those with allergies!

Well my GCA statistics were telling me my finds are low on Friday's + the 15th of the month; so when both coincided i had no excuse, must get outdoors & collect finds. Well you know you're on an adventure when you're following kangaroo-made tracks, little evidence of humans. Had solved this puzzle some months ago, but of course waited to attempt multiple in this series.
Thank you Chwiliwr, tbh, Gwiber, Gwawr.

Took the family to Whiteman Park and did a few walks around the trails to do the puzzle caches. Managed to stay dry by sheltering when it looked like showers but got wet walking back to the car from the final cache. All caches were found OK and apart from one in good condition.

My Grandparents took me to Whiteman Park to do some caches. They got wet going back to the car after the last cache but I stayed dry. I could hear the steam engine whistle all the time and saw it on the tracks when we were near them.
Granddad signed the log signed for me.
Thank you for the cache.

Out with the family doing the Whiteman Park puzzles and dodging the rain. Only got wet going back to the car after the last cache. Enjoyed the smell of the steam engine who passed us a few times on our various walks to the caches from where we had parked the car.

It was one of the rare occasions that I get to have a casual weekend walk through the park these days, so I was most pleased to get the green light from the wife to take my daughter for some bush treasure hunting this afternoon. She has a keen eye, but is quite reluctant to lift or shift anything in the environment for fear that there may be some critter hiding there. We found a total of 19 overall in the park today, not a bad effort, given the dodgy weather. A quick find at this spot for a change. We spotted the bees too, which seemed to be quite actively entering and leaving the tree. Surprisingly, my daughter seemed to relatively at ease with this sight. TFTC Gwiber
Woohoo!! FTF around 5:30pm.
After the listing was corrected I was able to get the checker to agree with my newly calculated coords, and I rushed out to make the find. A quick find once at GZ, although there was a swarm of bees within 50cm of where I was logging the cache (around the other side of the tree).
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Gwiber!
