Description
2016/17 Summer Scavenger Series cache
The cache is not at the published coordinates, but access to the cache can be found somewhere along this road and it is a great secluded place to have a picnic. When going on a picnic we like to pack in our basket a nice bottle of wine and an array of meaningful cheeses and water crackers. Todays picnic cheese selection includes:
- Caciocavallo
- Appenzeller
- Comté
- Paški Sir
- American cheese
- Saint-André
- Cheez Whiz
- Beecher's Flagship cheddar
- Cambozola
- Beecher's Flagship cheddar (because we really like it)
- Velveeta
Why don't you come along and join us. Depending on your approach angle the terrain rating may be higher or slightly lower than those listed and take care in the wet as it can get very slippery.

Thanks to outdoornut22 for decoding this one for us. I think it was one of my favourite puzzles ever very clever so thinks for the challenge. Off on the search we went again. I love finding a big cache in the wild. and this one was definitely a large, easy enough to find once we got on the right level!

We figured this one out a few weeks ago but didn't have the time to go for a walk and grab it, when we headed back out to grab 'The Scavenger' and noticed this was still on my gps unfound so headed into the bush for a look see. even though my GPS was a bit off today we soon managed to spy the very large cache container that was almost empty, bucket is a little tired but still keeping its contents dry and safe. thanks for the cache had a great time working out this very clever puzzle

Found at the end of another walk along the creek. A bit of long grass made for some heavy stomping, but we arrived at GZ and once there we looked around and soon found the cache a little below us. Log was signed and then it was back through the grass and to the car...
Thanks for another one TeamMerlin.....

#GA2311 - 16:55; When the States of the Nation game began, a plan was hatched for a group of ACT cachers to take a trip north to the Hawkesbury on a scavenger raid. As time passed the group's numbers dwindled, but with a bit of work solving puzzles and a few things rescheduled, our merry band comprising andrewbt, Sol de lune and I set off on a damp Canberra morning to try our hand. A recent visit to Canberra by cachers from this area provided an added incentive, so we could repay the karma points we gained from their visit. A successful day it turned out to be with 56 finds and only three DNFs. Made our way to GZ and found ourselves on top of the cache! Stepped things down and soon had the cache in hand. Luckily none of the sticks slithered as we passed. TFTC teamMerlin

47th of 56 today. Walking along this trail, stomping along to make sure no snakes found us!
Cache was found quickly once I realised *I was standing on top of it*

I curtailed my Geocaching activities, sallied forth and infiltrated your place of purveyance to negotiate the vending of some cheesy comestibles. Of course, that was futile so it was back to Geocaching.
How unusual to find a GCA, placed at this time of the year, with a title that bears some connection with reality and a genuinely large container too. Thanks again teamMerlin.

Well... we had to do a bit of research to work out this puzzle. So happy when we finally found something that helped.
Enjoyed the bushwalk today, a bit overcast but the cicadas were still loud.
Cache is in great nick. Thanks heaps for the puzzle and beaut sized cache. This find will come in handy for the SoN game.

A big day around Sackville collecting 6xGC and 18xGCA caches.
I thought this puzzle was a bit cheesy... but managed to solve it all the same. Being in a bit of a hurry as I still had quite a few caches on my todo list, I jogged most of the way to GZ. But I did take the opportunity to do a bit of exploring around GZ. Really nice spot and pretty big container too. Needs a few more trinkets added to the lonely log.

This was my favourite, for today. I had no problems solving this great puzzle, I really do like your style. No Mensa IQ required. The walk to GZ was awesome , just up my alley on such a pleasant winters day. In fact, apart from the trail head which lacks some TLC, this walk takes you into another world. And GZ made me stop and go wow. Another pretty spot with a babbling brook. I spent a bit of time here just enjoying the surroundings and ambled slowly on my way back o the car. Thanks for such a great cache.

Solved this one during the scavenger hunt but never had a chance to get it so left it alone till I needed to find it. Now was as good a time as any as I was headed out to the CITO so decided to find this before hand. Since the last time I went along this track there are Farmers Friends and the track is overgrown. Followed the track until I realised I had walked passed the spot to enter. Made my way to the hide which was pripetty easy. Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good order. Thanks for the puzzle teamMerlin

with the CO placing similar mysteries I knew where to start looking and it wasn't too long before the right table appeared. A co-ord checker confirmed I was right.
Today I was out and about to collect a few recently worked out mysteries, I knew where to park for access to GZ. Luckily time wasn't an issue for the 1.8Km return walk needed to get to GZ. Pleased to find a nice large container and sign the log before replacing as found. tftc

Another puzzle to solve on the last day of the scavenger series to fill the last find.
I needed to unraffle the puzzle and everything fell into place.
So headed out in the heat to make a claim. Signed the log and replaced as found.
