We are heading home to Tasmania after attending the Red Centre Experience Event in Alice Springs and are currently caching around Echuca. We like GCA caches and had solved the others in this series but struggled with this one. I sent a message to CO for help and a push was given. We got there and then got to GZ. As we didn't have the tool with us Mr W had to find his inner child and found the cache. Left pathtag. TFTP the fun and the help. Mr W was glad he didnt have to scale the other one. Coords about 15 m out.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Well, this cache certainly had us scratching our heads. We tried numerous approaches, all without success. However the numbers had some familiarity and we were reasonably confident of the tool needed to convert them into something useful. However, try as we might, we could not make the final link. Today we visited the CO and whilst there, we asked about the solution to the puzzle. He confirmed our thoughts for the basis of the solution and was generous in giving us a further hint which made everything fall into place. We completed the solution a little later. So with a confirmed set of coordinates, we headed off to GZ. When we didn't find the cache, we widened the search area and finally found the cache about 15m from where our GPS thought that GZ was located. Then came the matter of cache retrieval. We got our trusty and often used tool from the car but didn't realise that we placed it on top of a jack-jumper nest when retrieving the cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. As there were no other entries in the logbook, we will claim FTF at 12:40. Then we had to extricate our tool from the angry jack-jumpers - not an easy task. Thanks WazzaAndWenches for a challenging puzzle, for your assistance and for the hide.
