Description

This is another of those nameless parks around this area. I think I will call it the Osborne Ave Reserve

A lot of trees surround the bigger section of this park and the smaller section has a nice little playground for the kids.

Other than that, it is a pretty barron parkland.

I think a few picnic tables and a shelter, perhaps also a BBQ may entice more use by the locals.

The cache is hidden away from the playground in the bigger section of the park. You are looking for a 400ml sistema painted brown.

Spent a good half hour looking, coordinates led us to a spot that fit the clue but couldn't find anything. I wonder if it's missing?

#GA3170 - 20:05; In Melbourne for a couple of days with Sol de lune. After finishing up the business end of the trip, we headed around some of the eastern suburbs for a spot of caching. We hunted this one by torchlight and nearly missed it as a result. It was only after a second look that we spotted it sitting right under our noses! TFTC ahomburg Very HappyClan Cerberus

In Melbourne with LuckyL10n and this was our next stop. Parked in the nearby street, took the short walk to GZ where we started to search. Took a few minutes to unearth it, but the cache was found and the log signed. Cache was returned, then it was back to the car to head off for another one.

Thanks Ahomburg…..cache all good.

We were interested to see that a granny flat was being added to the house in the corner of the park. It appeared that the small building had been trucked in and craned over the fence onto its piles. After watching the builders we went round the corner to search for the cache.

Good coordinates enabled us to quickly locate the well hidden cache and we found the cache and contents in good condition.

Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to this park AHOMBURG. It is indeed a largish park with only a very small playground to entice people to use the area.

With the rain now becoming more than just a drizzle, I still had to get back to the car so I made sure this was on the way. While at GZ, I was treated to a sound and light show from above (which I decided wasn't really such a good thing after all Shocked) so I quickly signed the log at 17:45 and continued on to the safety of the car. Wink

Since this is the closest 'unfound' trad to home, I stopped by on my way home from feeding my key card to a ravenous ATM. Embarassed
Just enough light to navigate to GZ without even turning a torch on. Shocked
No Hill, No Creek, No Beach. Autumn is here now. Although you wouldn't know it from the weather we have been suffering lately. Rolling Eyes
The cache was barely covered and spotted immediately at 00:10 thanks to accurate coordinates. Very Happy
Now to have a crack at the nearby caches awaiting their first visitors... Pray
Thanks for the cache ahomburg. Clan Phoenix

One from three, not a good result from a little caching squeezed-in between patients, but at least it wasn't 0-3. A dash into this unknown reserve near where I grew up and a quick-enough find after spotting a familiar symbol. I timed it perfectly as I was just departing the vicinity when a Council worker came in with the big tractor for a mow. TFTC ahomburg
