The cache is a bison tube however it is in  a puzzle box that needs to be solved to open shouldn't be too difficult. The puzzle box is in 2 ziplock bags to keep everything dry. This is in a medium sized Systema box andc is a tight fit.

Continuing my bush bash at the end of Davies Rd I moved to GZ for this cache. The first puzzle was getting the GPS to settle and locate the right hidey hole. When finally found the second puzzle was to gain access to the log. A little bit of fiddling and the log was soon accessible. Left my mark before re-hiding and moving onto the next. tftc

#GA2496 - 18:00; Day one of a caching mission in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After an early start in Canberra, we collected a few of the newer caches along the highway before we reached the foot of the mountains and started the major part of the mission, to collect GCA caches to help us meet some dragonZone trophy requirements. We had enjoyed a great start having picked up a few caches already, including the 10K series, as we were now headed around in the hills. After a bit of urban caching in Springwood, it was time to head bush again for a few more down in the Dell. After emerging from the Dell, we picked up a few more as we made our way slowly towards Katoomba. Made a quick find at GZ and after a quick bit of puzzling, Sdl had this one solved. Up from Canberra with LuckyL10n for a 2 day run around the Blue Mountains.

Another Gadget cache on the list. Excellent.

Once at GZ we took a couple of minutes to find the cache, and then it was time to set about getting to the logbook. Happy to say it wasn't too long and the Gadget gave up it's secret and the log was in hand. Soon had the log signed, and then put everything back together and re-hid the cache.

Good fun Phlphotos..... Recommended

A most excellent cache. I love the container.
The cache took a little bit of time to find but once I found it I had it open quite quickly. Luck more than skill.
The mechanism is most interesting and elegant in its simplicity.

This cache has inspired me to make my own gadget cache.

Found today with pjmpjm, what a great cache!
It took a little while to open but we got there in the end, nice location as well.
A little perseverance will see you thru.
Thanks for a neat and well made cache.

Found this unusual hide together with rogerw3.

We both had a go at solving the puzzle, and were really scratching our heads when rogerw3 worked out the secret step . . . so easy and yet not the first thing you'd think of!

Well packaged and unlikely ever to get wet.

Terrain isn't difficult, but be careful on the rocks.

Many thanks to PHLPHOTOS for something completely different!

Four Thumbs Up!

I came down this morning with what i remembered from the instructions. I could not access them due to issues with the internet. I found the cache easily enough, but had no luck getting it open. I came back with ZoNic and she was determined to get it open by herself. I had the instructions, but Step 2 had me confused. While playing with it, Zoe accidentally performed step two and the box was open. The trouble was that we could not close the box. It was step 2 again. We had to figure out how step two happened and how to reverse the process. Looking a little deeper, we saw the clever mechanism that allowed step 2 to occur and we could now close the box. I suggested to Zoe that we place the instructions INSIDE the box. The looked at me quizzically for a moment, then she saw the funny side of it. She's a clever girl. This was her 2nd gadget cache for the day and she wants to find more. TFTC Sir Phil.

Came down with geodad. He had been here this morning, but could not open the box. We came down again, this time with instructions, but they didn't make sense to dad. While he was trying to figure out what they meant, I accidentally opened the box. This was my second gadget cache today and I got them both before dad did.
