HOBLERS BRIDGE ST LEONARDS TASMANIA
I was in the area to get photos for other caches when I realized that this was another opportunity for a smiley. Actually there is a GC cache hidden here but I found and logged this quite some time ago.

I made Mr Beetle stop today to get a photo of a sign for a cache and then noticed that about 20 steps would get me under a bridge.
So Mr Beetle walked back to the Ute to check the dogs and I took the walking track to get where I needed to be.
The bridge crosses the Leven River at Ulverstone in Tasmania.
For my photos I was standing at
S41 9.394. E146 10.019
Like most rivers, this one looks more impressive at high tide, which it was while I was there today.

Underneath the old Chinaman's Bridge at Nagambie which has now been replaced with a modern, widened version.
I can remember when the Chinese vegetable garden used to be here. The lovely Chinaman used to fill my apron up with fresh peas whenever we stopped to buy our vegetables and I'd happpily shell them (and eat them) on the way home

The DaFiChNi's Came across this lovely old bridge just south of Crystal Brook in the mid-north of SA. Not in current use, but still looks sturdy enough to me!
Under the boardwalk bridge in Bargara. Paid a visit while staying in Bundaberg with the in-laws
Great little spot on the beach. Thanks for the locationless Corunnaroad.

Today I was geocaching underneath the famous, historic 'Knapsack Viaduct' ... former railway and roadway bridge in the lower Blue Mountains!

The Batman Bridge over the Tamar River is a cantilever suspension bridge, supported by a large A-frame sitting on rocks on the western shore of the river. The view from underneath when in a boat is quite spectacular. The required photo was taken from a boat as we passed under close to the eastern side of the river and has been added to the gallery. Thanks for the cache.
The Victoria bridge at Picton is recognized as a Historic Engineering Marker (See GA7638) for it's design and build:
Victoria Bridge, Picton 5 This bridge, built by C J Foord and opened on 7 October 1897, has three Allan type timber trusses supported on the tallest timber trestles in New South Wales. This type of road bridge was the third in the evolution stages of timber truss road bridges (1861-1905). The truss was named after its designer, eminent Public Works engineer Percy Allan. The bridge was named in the 60th year of the reign of Queen Victoria and is one of the oldest surviving bridges of its type.
It's a single way road and has a pedestrian lane. When you walk over it you can see the bats hanging in the trees.

I was out early in the morning going for a ride around the neighbourhood and noticed how narrow this bridge looks at ground level from underneath! This bridge is to enable pedestrians to cross Wanneroo Road safely here, which would be an impossible task otherwise!
A surreal feel to our Westgate Bridge.
Photo taken at dawn whilst logging a first to find on a robmc gc cache in mid August last year.

The historic Sale Swing Bridge. We stopped here on our way to Omeo for the rodeo this Easter.
What a magnificent old bridge this is!
The Sale Swing Bridge, located on the South Gippsland Highway 5 km from the city of Sale, Victoria, Australia, spans the Latrobe River at its junction with the Thomson River.
Designed by John Grainger and built in 1883 by the Victorian government, it was the first movable bridge built in Victoria.
Its wrought-iron structure, 45 metres long, pivots on cylindrical steel columns.
At its peak, the bridge was opened up to 20 times a day, allowing the movement of steamers between Sale and Melbourne.
The bridge underwent major restoration works towards the end of 2003, which were completed by the start of 2006.
The Sale Swing Bridge was used as a set in 2007 for the filming of the 2008 film The Tender Hook, starring Hugo Weaving and Rose Byrne.

Took a few picts while out and about caching and when I seen this locationless, I remembered this photo.
Harriet Island is located in the Bundaberg Reach of the Burnett River Qld. There are two road bridges that cross this river and the photo is of the Tallon Bridge. The other Bridge is on Quay Street closer to the centre of Bundaberg Qld. If you have a water craft of some type or wait till low tide you can access the Island to find some caches here. Denison Bridge
Since we started geocaching we've seen under a lot of bridges but mostly don't take a photo. At the time of being at Denison Bridge in Bathurst NSW we were looking for the historic engineering marker. Admittedly putting it under the bridge was a bizarre idea but as we couldn't find it anywhere else we looked there anyway.....and even took a pic! So this is the historic engineering Underneath of Denison Bridge.

Under the Waimak Bridge in the Christchurch area. The height of this river goes up and down with very little warning depending on the weather in the mountains. Sometimes it is very small and other times a raging torrent.
