Description
Tree Line - Western Ring Path
The Western Ring Path is the continuation of the Western Freeway Path along the Western Ring Road and provide more opportunity for some walking or cycling along a nicely made asphalt path way.
The point of diversion on the Western Ring Path starts at this location with a 1 litre Sistema container painted to match its surroundings. There isn't much parking around, but if you head down to the Glen Gala Shopping Centre there should be parking there which can use to head on any of the three of four directions that the WRP geocache trail takes you. This location is rather open to being spotted so take care when searching and replacing so the geocache location is not compromised.

Onto my next find here.
Cache is still safe and well after a year.
I signed the log and was soon on my way.

So I wasn't the only one to wonder when I opened this one... saw the extra paper, then the log. Weird.
Added the previous finder's name to the log and cleared the other, to avoid confusion.
------
Well.
This wasn't the day I'd planned, but family matters had turned the weekend on its head. Between sleeping in after the fun of caching in the dark until so late it was almost early, and staying at home to referee while the better half ran some errands, it wasn't until mid afternoon that I rolled out the gate.
Finally logging my first cache for the day after crossing the Whitten Bridge, I continued anticlockwise around the Ring Road, bagging 42 finds, and a handful of DNFs.
Thanks, C@W... today's haul has gone a long way toward my ambition of getting my GA logs over 10% of the GC total.

#GA1874 - 11:10; Day two of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. Our major goal for the week is to complete the SSS and other series along the Western Freeway/Ring Road and to then collect enough GCA caches around Docklands to bring our total finds for the day to 100+ which would build our trophy cabinets a bit more as we complete a few more 'missions'. This was one of 82 finds in just under 6 hours along the various series, where we only had the one DNF! We finished the freeway section and had now turned north to take on the 'ring path'. This was our first stop on this section. Apologies for the mostly generic logs. TFTC caughtatwork

Thought we'd scored a first to find with this one as the log book was empty, but then saw the previous finders piece of paper in the container. Not sure what happened, but the log is there and all is good with the cache.
Thanks for another one C@W...

I enjoyed my walk along the Western Ring Rd path, south of the Western Freeway, a few weeks ago with my niece, so today I planned to cycle the northern section. I have not cycled very often in the recent past but I knew that the path was mostly flat so I should not get into too much difficulty. I ended up finding 25 caches in 4 hours, with a short stop to discuss geocaching with two police officers and another stop to chat with a VicRoads worker.
I was still thinking about the previous cache when I arrived at this GZ. Unfortunately a muggle has found this cache. The container was uncovered and open, and the logbook was missing. I searched the area but could not locate the missing logbook. The swag was still there so I added a piece of paper as a temporary log and re-hide the cache.
Now it was time for me to turn northward and cycle back to More Park.

We had arrived in Melbourne early to catch the Spirit of Tasmania back to Tassie tonight. That gave us the opportunity to look for more caches along the Western Ring Path, ones that we didn't find in April because we ran out of time. We were pleased that the rain of yesterday had gone and, apart from a cold breeze, the walking conditions were very pleasant. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks caughtatwork for the cache and the series.
What else do you do while waiting to board the ferry home? Park at a service centre and walk 10 kms getting 21 GCA caches, 13 of which were FTF. We had a lovely walk either side of the Big M. Thanks caughtatwork for placing,(now we get triple dragon zone points), for the great cache containers, good clues and spot on coords. FTF @ 2.15 pm. TFTC
