Description
Cyprus by the river [Edgewater Walk]
Edgewater was developed on the old Colonial Ammunition Factory site in Maribyrnong in 2001. A pleasant set of ponds has been created which allow boating and wildlife to abound (including snakes, so beware). This series of geocaches will take you on a walk around the ponds checking out the area and finding a few geocaches along the way.
Cyprus by the river will bring you to a lone Cyprus tree along the river. There is a lack of large trees along this area suggesting that the locals would prefer a view of the water rather the green of nature. Surprising considering this is the Maribyrnong River where dead bodies usually float down until they hit the bend and stall under the pontoons. Anyway, we are not here for a dead body we are here for a geocache today. This is the irritating micro in a tree scenario. With a lack of large trees, opportunities for a walk and geocache and limited so I had to resort to the micro just hanging around. Fear not if you start to struggle there is a very good hint which should mean you can get this geocache without too many worries.
Be aware that there is also a geocaching.com mystery cache hanging in the same tree but at head height. Log one, log both, log either, any log in either cache container will stand you in good stead to claim this one.

Thanks for a lovely walk along here Caughtatwork
We are currently touring Victoria with our geovan in tow, using geocaching as a guide. We have visited many amazing locations through geocaching and your cache - Cypress by the river [Edgewater Walk] - was one we found along the way. Enjoyed this series of caches the redevelopment of this area is beautiful. We were lucky enough to talk to a council worker who opened up Jack’s Magazine and gave us a peek inside and a history lesson of the site. Added bonus to finding the cache.
Many thanks Caughtatwork for publishing this cache for our enjoyment and adding to our geocaching experience. As always accurate co - ordinates led to a quick find. Cache and contents in excellent condition.
Tassie Trekkers are now a locationless geocache we have published a 'Geocacher cache' - Travelling Trekkers GA10932 - so if you spot us in your area sign our log book and receive a code word to earn yourself a We were one of the lucky teams to receive a pathtag from Geocaching Australia for publishing a "Geocacher Cache" - thanks Geocaching Australia.

Really enjoyed this serie. This one was the last find for me this morning. An easy find using the hint.
Thanks CAUGHTATWORK TFTC
Bored out of my gourd at home, I decided a decent walk was in order. Thankfully, the weather agreed, so I figured this new series of hides was a good incentive.
And so it was, a neat variety of hides, with not too many worries about muggles, and a fine late afternoon caching experience.
Thanks, C@W, for keeping me at least moderately fit and sane.

We do hope however that occasionally some innocent geocacher will read one of our missives and may even find something useful. We know that our work related treatises were never read, some questions may have been asked if they had been read. Our masters dutifully ticked off that the required documents had been handed in, accountability met so book closed.
Our latest treatises may be occasionally read and enjoyed by fellow caching tragics - or may be we are just kidding ourselves. We did however have fun reaching this goal. Of course, having reached this goal we feel duty bound to maintain our word average.
With our latest trip to the big island coming rapidly to an end we had a few loose ends to tie off - the ten caches making up the Edgewater Walk Series was one of these - apologies caught@work we really dont expect you to read them all.
We set off early this morning to find these. It was blowing a gale and walking into the wind was hard work. We could see that this would be a lovely area to walk on balmy evenings and cool summer mornings. Even with the unpleasant conditions there were plenty of dog walking muggles, running and riding muggles and a few power walking muggles using the tracks.
Accurate coordinates and excellent hints lead to quick finds of all the caches. These were well hidden but in your face as usual. All containers and contents were in excellent condition. We do love caught@work caches - rarely a micro or nano in sight.
Thanks caught@work for this cache and for this great little series. Fortunately there were only caches today and no dead bodies.
Thanks again, 7 down 3 to go.....
For the last cache of the series I not only did I not look at the hint, but I didn't look at the description either until after I had found the cache. With so few trees along here the name was all I needed.
Approaching muggles were far enough away that I was able to find, sign and replace the cache while they still some distance away.
Thanks caughtatwork for the series. This was a really nice way to spend an hour walking around on a sunny afternoon.
