Parking is at S33° 45.128' E150° 38.603'.

While there do take time to check out the Knapsack Viaduct this started life as part of the Lapstone Zig Zag western train line and was then used as a main road after the Glenbrook deviation.
Please replace all camo rocks carefully as this place gets busy. All the caches are mostly out of sight from the main track but take care.

Nice hide here but being "on track" a toilet has appeared about 60cm from the cache. Lots of paper but didn't see much else. Thank goodness the cache is well concealed.

Be careful here - it appears some people use this area as a toilet. When I found it, evidence was about a meter away but it could have been relieved closer. Be careful when retrieving the cache that you don't touch anything undesirable, and that you clean your hands thoroughly after just in case.
I had a lovely spontaneous drive down to visit 2 of my daughters on the coast and surprise one of them for a birthday breakfast. In all honesty, it was really an excuse to get outdoors and play because I was getting pretty low and only had 2 midweek days off work. So I knew I was geocaching after breakfast but not where. Thought Mossvale or Goulburn, but in the end the temptation was too great. I'm taking the long way home and finding those cool bridge caches!
As the caches took me a little off the main track, I ended up wandering a bit and exploring the things in the area - old metal junk, graffiti, plants, rocks, creek beds, roadsides, AND EVEN TOILETS (GA9999 appears to also be the local bush toilet location). This meant that from the carpark to GA 10K and back I took much longer than I should... was it really nearly 5 hours?! It was lunch time when I went in thinking I'll eat after, and it was sunset when I came out. hahahaha. And my kids thought I had to hurry back home. No I was just hurrying off to geocache before going home. I got home before midnight at least. hahaha.
Thanks for this geocache series here rogerw3. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. I did film the adventure, but I haven't been in a film editing mood lately so hopefully I'll get it done soon.
Now I feel justified to get the matching geocoin.

We've been here before, but I couldn't remember whether I claimed it. Oh well, seems I didn't...so now is a as good a time as any.

10K – 1 wow it was very busy here this morning, – well this gave me grief – with dense tree cover it made finding this cache a challenge – I felt like I was traveling around in circles, up & down in heights – used 2 GPS’s in the end to nail this 1 – don’t why but today it was very hard to get a fix on your caches – 3 down 1 to go - TFTC / TFTH / SL

Another quick find. Unfortunately there was toilet paper there, so I disinfected my hands and pen afterwards. Then I realised I had not taken the number (not that this really mattered, as not having the formula supplied I couldn't solve this anyway), so I had to repeat this. Cache and log good, except for it's papery neighbour. Hope the wind blows it away . TFTC rogerw3.

#GA2466 - 11:45; Day one of a caching mission in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After an early start in Canberra, we collected a few of the newer caches along the highway before we reached the foot of the mountains and started the major part of the mission, to collect GCA caches to help us meet some dragonZone trophy requirements. We had a handful already when we reached the convenient parking area for this cache at the start of the 10K series trail. After collecting the cache near the carpark, we set off along the trail, which was on our 'must do' list for this visit. After an enjoyable walk along the track, we reached this cache to sign the log and collect the final piece of the puzzle. No trouble finding this one and we soon had the information we needed and the calculations done to locate 10K itself! TFTC rogerw3

Up with LuckyL10n for a 2 day run around the Blue Mountains and this little series was our main objective today. Parked the car at the obvious spot and then started the walk along the trial.
Took the short walk off the trail and soon had the cache, and the all important last clue in hand. Log was signed, cache replaced and once GZ for the ultimate prize was calculated, we headed off to make the find.
Thanks for all the lead in caches RogerW3.....now for the big one.

With the morning heating up (40+ is predicted today) we continued along the trail. Being a Saturday the main path is busy but no one on the trail. Arrived at GZ and started searching. My GPS wasnt happy here so MrT looked one way and I looked another. something caught my attention and soon found where the cache was hiding! Signed log and returned as found after getting the final clue. TFTC
Had a great outing today, tracking down rogerw3's 10K series of caches!
Found this one without problems.
All was well with the cache and there are still lots of swaps left for future finders.

Many thanks to rogerw3 for a great hide and a great series!
Last one before the final and we thought we may have been sprung by a local muggle. He thought we were heading down towards the old railway siding but we explained that we knew where we were headed and weren't going to fall down the gap. I'm sure if we'd stopped to talk to him any longer we would have had a complete history of the railways in the area. Clue helped with this one. Thanks rogerw3.
It was a beautiful day on which ziggiay, MrSmash, DingoMan007, HanorahTLG and signed undertook the quest to capture the 10,000th cache. But before that we needed to find the clues!
Quick find, final one in the series before we attacked the large one. TFTC!

GPS had us down below the track and we looked all over that area for a long rock. Thinking about how the GPS behaved at the last one, it was just a matter of rethinking the spot. The geogirl found the right rock. TFTC

We had not met anyone so far while walking along the track however as we approached this one several walking parties went by. When the coast was clear we made a dash for the cache. Fortunately this was a quick find. Again the container and contents were in good condition
This was the first hide where we were aware of the traffic on the highway very close by. This was balanced by the train going by.
Thanks Rogerw3 for another thoughtful hide.

After getting 10K-2 kept on going & found the GC cache next then onto this one. Again I went further along the track then had to backtrack to take the track going the way I needed to go. Got towards GZ ended up with a pile of large rocks so started following the GPSr checking a few spots to no avail so went back to the teack and spotted another place more like the hint & had tge cache in had. Signed the log and replaced as found took down the final digit that I needed for the final. Thanks for the cache rogerw3.

After an early visit to a friend in Nepean hospital it was then off to the parking at the end of Old Bathurst Road for a walk along the path to collect the 4 needed caches for info in order to get to GZ of the 5th and final cache of this series.
On a cooler overcast sort of day each cache was found in turn until arriving at the viaduct where the gathered numbers were entered for the fifth and final cache.

Met up with Team Merlin today to make a claim for the cache GA10000.
But needing 10K-1 and the remaining caches of the series before we had the information to make a claim of the final.
Locating a path which lead us to GZ from here made a quick find with a fresh logbook so we signed as a joint FTF.
Noting the needed information we replaced as found.

After finding 10K-2 I set out for 10K-1
I decided to keep to the low track. On the way a kangaroo hopped down the track.
Soon I had the cache in hand. Bring on GCA 10000

Being out at Kingswood for work today, we organised to meet up with JJCC this afternoon for a walk to the viaduct and hunt out the newly released GA10000. Parking at the designated spot it wasn't long before we had found 10K-4, 10K-3 and 10K-2 and collected the needed info. About 50m out from GZ we noted the compass move to the left and noting the small cutting up ahead we found a small track and followed it to GZ. Once at GZ we had a quick find and again were really surprised to see a blank logbook so we signed as a joint FTF. After noting the needed information we replaced as found.
Thanks rogerw3 for this series and congratulations on cache 10K
