Glyn, what are you doing to us... we trucked all over the park using logic and observations to fill in the gaps... and voila the cache was found!!! Out with the aces from team Welsh, T4TC

15-Jul-09
Found WP's 4,5 and 8 and then of course the final. Trekked all over the park and using instinct and clues we got there in the end. TFTC

No idea when the repairs to GZ are going to be finished, so ,its up for grabs, thanks for all the fun!

Checked it tioday, Wpnt 2 & final is MIA, will have to wait see what happens from now as I will need to revamp the whole thing as its the 2nd time the final has gone. Also, it looks as though workers are about to do some remedial work on the pumphouse, will need to monitor the outcome--Glyn.

23-Mar-09
Went with Helefant found Wpt 1 okay. Wpt 2 alas eluded us. So we also wonder if its still there.

08-Mar-09
Glyn can you please confirm WP2 still in place if you are passing. Cheers.

08-Mar-09
Found WP1 easily enough. No sign of WP2 even after a good look.

09-May-08
Sorry about the time its taken to get this one up & running. All go now with some new wpnts.

more waypoints missins,so serious thinking needed as to what to do with them, watch this space.

26-Nov-07
looks like it needs work on , again!

23-Nov-07
Agree with the last log, WP1 seems to be missing. However I managed to pick up the trail a bit further into the puzzle and was away, or so I thought. A further two WP's were not found but each time I managed to carry on to the next with a bit of intuition, studying the route so far, and of course the clues.
Pretty amazed at my success I made it to the final and found the cache, woohoo!
Bit of a show or rehearsel on it seems, quite enjoyed hearing the music of "These Boots are Made for Walking" thumping out as I walked past.
Ha! now there's a little saying for some of those extreme caches, "are you ready boots?, start walking! "
Nice one, TFTC

Been wanting to try this one for awhile so thought we would have a go on this lovely Saturday arvo.. But unfortunately we couldn't even start.. Where we thought WP1 should be there was nothing.

11-Sep-07
WP1 was out in the open and we put it where we thought it was meant to be. We liked the well camouflaged waypoints. No lid on the cache. A double bus entertained us as it had driven down to the carpark but there was not enough room to turn. He then tried to back up the road but failed. We watched for a time but gave up as it appeared a tow truck was going to be required.

08-Sep-07
SORTED!---again.

25-Aug-07
have some decisions to make as wpnt 1 appears to be gone again.

Bit of a show stopper at WP1. It’s been nicked again. After a quick call to the Glyn Helpline and a hint for WP2, the other WPs quickly fell. Like TWS, we found WP4 out in the open, loved WP5 camo, and had to wait for muggles to leave before finding WP8. All in all, a rather enjoyable multi. Thanks for the hunt Glyn.

With rain threatening I trotted around this, good fun. WP4 was out in the open, so put it back in place. Nice cammo work.

away on holiday at the moment, seems as tho this whole multi needs to be checked out!---Glyn

Seeing it seems to be a single stage multi - it was an easy find during a quick lunch break after a job at the local council.
Mind the duck poo on the seats as I didn't see a splodge and now it graced it's presence on my work pants and leather car seats. Stink!!.

Well a bit confused as well? Allso found a cache at wp1
So signed the log and took tb.
Decided to try anyway.Could not try wp2, some young muggles haning about, skipped wp3 as directed. Tried wp3, but could not find from clues. Found Wp5 from clues, and 6, but some fishing muggles at wp7 - so left it at that!!
Thanks for the walk around a nice park!

Went to WP1 to start the hunt. But instantly found the cache. Is that right??!
Bit confused as, from what I could read in the log, someone couldn't return the final cache to where they found it because of muggles. Therefore hid it at WP1.
Was a bit confused!!
Needed to drop off TB so swapped it for a butterfly.
Decided to continue finding the other caches, but WP 2 has gone, and couldn't find WP3 (although got to what we think is the [big tree]).

A fun cache to do on a sunny Good Friday. Found all the waypoints with ease, though thats probably more due to the fact that we are getting used to Glyns hides rather than anything else.
Loved the final. Great hide.
Took Geocoin
Thanks for the fun

Dropping off TB...

I was unprepared today for the challenge of WP8 and didn't think a cahce was worth getting arrested over, so will need to return better prepared.

#470. Started this ages ago then got muggled out at last intermediate waypoint. Mrs St. Ouens found that quickly then it was off to GZ for the final. Took TB. Left Jersey 20p.
some interesting Camo Glyn. Thanks.

WOW what a great cache what great fun hunting them out with the fabulous XenaCommander. We parked the city cache machine in the shade and got down to business
Lots of fun hunting out the waypoints and avoiding muggles
Stopped to comfort a wee lad who crash landed after trying to leap off the wharf but slipped on the slimy wet wood... pretty awesome kid when we noticed the monster zip line left from open heart surgery on his chest. No parents in sight either.
The final was no place for XenaCommander so he called "fetch" so badkitty teased by playing about with it before handing it over. Great hidey hole.
The camo on the waypoints is awesome making this fun cache a real must do for anyone visiting the area.

Waitangi Day off and whiskers were twitching for a cache or two.. After helping TK fix her "Thing" motorised mountain bike we jumped on Splat (her SV650) and headed here.
I had been wanting to do this for a while. It is pretty close to my work but would take too long for a half hour lunch break..!!
Parked Splat in the shade and headed for WP1...
XC found cache easily enough and wondered where the coords were??? hmmmm Here we go... This is not going to be easy.. And knowing Glyn the camo is likely to be tricky.
TK came up with the coords... Whew..!
Found the other waypoints with lots of ooohs and aaahhs!!
Nice containers.. well placed.
Got to final GZ ok... XC pointed and said "Fetch"...
TK fetches... A cat can get anywhere..!!
Signed the log and left calling cards..
Took geocoins in residence and left Thalmore the Strong TB
and China Geocoin...

Had a lot of fun with the family wandering around the edge of Lake Pupuke with this one.
Got a bit confused at WP1, finding the alternate cache first, then finding the waypoint a bit later. WP7 had us confused for a bit, then WP8 was very clever.
We spent a long while grovelling on the ground for the final, before getting a better view of the situation.
Thanks for the fun Glyn!

A very pleasant little multi containing waypoint containers that have been incredibly well camo’ed. Found the WP4 container out on the grass where it was clearly not meant to be so left it at the base of the obvious tree as we were not sure exactly where it was intended to go. I put the GPSr, cache notes, pen and hat on the ground at one stage while looking for a waypoint only to find that I had placed them on the biggest runniest pile of swan/goose doodoo that you have ever seen ? Had to clamp my hands over daughters ears while expressing my displeasure about this unfortunate event. Excellent spot for the final!
Thanks Glyn

Today I was supposed to tramping around the Waitakeres but felt a bit ill early on so cancelled that. I got to feel the urge to get out anyway and this sounded like a walk in the Park.
It truly was, I had no problems until WP3 which I guess is still missing? Anyway I pressed on to WPT4 which was lying out in the open on the grass but intact. I was not sure where it was originally but placed it "snugly" ( searchers will will have to loook a a lot harder than I did to find it now. It "almost" complies with the clue.

WP6 fooled me for a minute or two, and I doubt that the reviewer would be totally happy with this one ha ha!

No other problems other than a muggle who whom was clearly puzzled about my odd lurking behaviour and equipment but I waited him out.

Note: The true final is fine and still in place.

kiwigirl71 et al, are clearly confused about the alternative, secondary, logging facility.

TNLNSL TFTC The Cammo is right up there with your finest Glyn.

When we got to the first wp, we found the final cache in there as well. We still did the hunt, and due to the many muggles around there had to resort to putting the final back into wp1 again.

Worrying though: no TBs or coins in there. I had planned on taking a few with me and place the ladybug TB in there. But when I didn't find the others in there, I decided not to risk leaving the ladybug in there either.

Apart from all that: loved the hunt! Incredible caches - especially number 7 lol Took us a while to find that one.

Thanks for all the effort putting this together.

3.30pm. After about an hour of working through the waypoints and marvelling at the camo jobs completed this most enjoyable cache successfully. A good hunt with a great clue set. Had difficulty early on at WP2 which eventually required a call to Glyn (the only one). Later confirmed this WP had gone missing but Glyn ever eager to assist set us in the right direction for WP3. At WP5 I felt we had seen the best camo ever. Wonderfully done. Then we arrived at WP7 where the camo is incredible - down to the last nut and bolt!! I would recommend this cache to anyone. And the climax comes at the final.
Thanks Glyn.
Exchanged TB's.
Cool M

Returned today to visit the waypoints missed yesterday. This is one of the very classic multi-caches. Highly recommend it! Only had 5 minutes delay due to muggles this time. Pick a quiet time.

18-Jan-07
wpnt 2 has gone missing so untill I can reinstate it please go on to wpnt 3.please change the co-ordinates from where you find them at the start by calculating--Sth--last 3 digits-add 28. & east, subtract 14

Is it just me or does everyone experience every cache as an adventure? This time I found 'alternative end' first. You will find out why that could happen. When I was about to put it back, there were lots of muggles. In particular the ones who had to do the gardening stopped me from getting on with it. Eventually I just managed to put my find back, but I was not keen to look for WP1 and be suspicious for these weeders, who were going to be there for a while. So I decided to wander around the park and decided to look around for place where I would hide something. So I found WP5. Great Camo. So I was back on track and able to finish. I was lucky, that I could get to the final cache without being suspicious again. Great spot. I will go back for the first 4, because the quality of these WPs is just awesome. Fantastic preparation. TFTC.

Excellent cache - much fun after work with relatively few people around due to the overcast. Some *very* creative camouflage indeed SmileSmile Outstanding - T4TC!
Uplifted Geocoin.

Great little multi around a lovely park. The place was teaming with people enjoying the great weather today. Uset the alternative ending as WP 8 didn't really make sence. TFTC

I really enjoyed this walk around the lovely park, looking at all the different trees. With some impressive cammo used all around. We had trouble with way point 8 so we decided to go and sign the log at the first waypoint. Great cache! TNLN SL Big Grin Thanks for the cache

What a great cache. Really impressed with the effort that had gone into the camos. Well done Glyn and Kay.[^]Cool

Mrs Tufty came for the stroll around the park and also in assisting the old fella in placing his feet in the appropriate places when doing the final.

Mrs Coldstream and I were looking for a cache that was relatively pushchair friendly in the area. Sturdy pushchair needed! but undeterred by this we battled on. Admittedly we started this yesterday and completed all up to the second to last waypoint where we encountered heaps of muggles (what do you expect on one of the few hot sunny days this summer!) Returned early this morning to complete. Lovely walk and all micros well hidden (love the camo).
Took: 'Well Done' badge
Left: red whistle
Thanks heaps for the hard work and research.

Found with BigFatRob, was the second find for the afternoon.
Managed to start at an intermediate waypoint, by-luck finding a later stage.
A few really good camo-jobs, took afew passes to spot. A nice park, with many memories from here, thanks for bringing me back here. A nice multi
Cheers

Well designed and constructed Multi. You guys must have spent many hours to provide us with a thoroughly enjoyable and challenging cache. It is very much appreciated.
Towards the end we were frustrated by cloud cover with 'trekky' accuracy down to 25m. Patience paid off and with some cloud breaks and improvement to 8m we were able to approach the cache location with confidence.
Done at last, butt slightly grazed. All part of the fun.

Enjoyable romp through the park, only had trouble with one micro, didn't help that the batteries were nearly dead. Loved the final cache possition.

FTF at 8.45am. Adee alerted me to this new cache so we both jumped into the new cache car and headed over to the park. All the stages were well hidden and Glyn has put a lot of time and energy into making this a very enjoyable outing.
