Circle circle everytrees some trees saw off and some dead trees falling down 1 and half hour no luck
Replaced this cache a fair while back. All the original logs and sticks were gone.Replaced with a preform tethered to a tree .Captain Terror offered some alternate coordinates **S26 23.231 E153 04.684**
Absolutely no clue where this is. Looked at past logs and put in those cords but still no luck if anyone finds it within the next day or so, please message me!
Not Found at 11:42Caching in the area today while on holidays hoping to beat the rain. We didn't and it was pouring by the time we got to gz. We figured we'd search for a minute anyway but had no luck because I only had the description and hint. Now, after reading previous logs I have a better idea of where to search and what we're looking for.It would be good if the cache information was updated.
I too used Captain Terrors tip on this one! Such a beautiful area to stretch the legs and take in the scenery. Thanks for placing the cache out here, there is slim chance I would have explored out here if you didn't.Log signed and replaced ready for its next visitor!!
Extensive search but finally made the find with help from Captain Terrors log! Favourite point for the view!
This cache has been hidden for 17 years! During this time the concrete path has washed away, but we can still find the cache using one previous cacher's photo and another's corrected coords. Ignore the hint. Still a good walk.
Beautiful walk. Last section of track washed away. Did have to scroll through comments to find correct hint
Tried this the other arvo, the sealed path is closed, but there seem to be other ways to GZ
In the end the sand flies got me

Find 12 of 12 with 2 DNFs on a beautiful winter's day for touristing all over from Maleny/Montville, down to Mooloolaba and up to Noosa, then back.
As the sun was setting we made our way round from the Spit to this one. Past the construction fences which are being ignored. Past the sunset viewers. Past the naturist, at one point. Eventually we were all on our own and looking around the corrected coords. Took a minute to spot from the right angle.
TFTC dahumbug!

Took a bit of working out. But yes. Go with the coordinates in comments. Had a fisherman right in front at the water to sneak behind to retrieve cache. Stealth.

A nice walk around here, but looks like this part will be closed off soon to repair the paths. Glad that a recent photo helped with the location. Thanks for bringing us here.
With a very washed-away path leading us to gz, we used the alternative coordinates to locate a non-regular size cache. Tftc!
Took me a while as I was staring around the paper bark tree, to then read the activity. Captain Terror came in to help solve this mystery and help make a good find to show the family.
Couldn't find at GZ so scrolled thru logs to find the real coordinates! Then a QEF. SL TFTC
An easy find after finding true GZ in the earlier comments. All in good condition. TFTC
found it after a long and hard search with the given information ended up in nothing! thank you to Captain Terror for accurate coordinates and a helpful information that the description was misleading !!
Scratching around the ground at the alternate coordinates until I thought ‘what if more than just the original coordinates are misguided?” TFTC
At the end of the day spent walking through and around this area, we decided to stop here and search for this old Geocache.
In advance, we wondered whether it would be bush bashing all the way to GZ, however we were surprised by the beautiful Trail that kept going all the way along.
Quite incredible erosion as we passed by, seeing large blocks of cement now on the sand.
From a previous log, we updated our coordinates accordingly, and walked straight to GZ, where we found the container and have added our name to the log.
Thanks Cooroy Scouts for maintaining this Old one in such a beautiful location.

Thanks Cooroy scouts and Captain Terror whose info was spot on. Great views and so peaceful. Greetings from Adelaide
On a holiday up north from Victoria defently had to pick up some caches. And another day checked off my cache per day calender.
Nice easy find once you ignore all information from original post. Cache has changed alot since it was posted in 2006. Reading through more recent logs was the only way I found this cache. Captain Terrors log was deffently helpful.

Spent a vast amount of time seeking this one, to no avail. Even had the wife searching high and low. Checked the previous logs, noting suggested new coordinates and different container. Nothing, nada
dahumbug I found your cache MORGANS CHOICE on 4/8/2022, 3:59 pm. This is my find 3905 and find # 9 today. Found it after using Captain Terror’s coordinates. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
The missus wanted a "browse" on Hastings ("Isn't browsing when you don't buy stuff?" I asked her later), so I needed a diversion. Off I went with the geokids for a stroll around the river headland of our northerly neighbour Noosa. This was the first of three we found, and the advice to completely ignore the description and hint is very good advice. Didn't take too long to find once we knew to do that. All in good nick here – thanks for the cache!
A lovely walk along the river. Ignore the description and the hint. I’m not sure the coords were that great either. Relied on the geocaching senses to spot this one. Tftc
Nice walk on a stormy but warm morning, nice location, the concrete path is no match for the forces of nature

Visiting Noosa for a work function and popped out for a quick walk to get a couple of geos. Weather was a bit glum today but still a beautiful place and it kept muggle activity down. TFTC
Hi there Morgan! I think you made a great choice popping a cache here!!! We found it with use of the alternative coordinates provided. The hint is no longer relevant, as the cache is NAGL. However, this is trivial and shouldn't detract from the fact that this is a beautiful location, well worth the walk and struggling to find a park. Another oldie in the bag.

Ha! There you go, this geocache is in my oldest 100 remaining unfound in the state. Useless statistics one finds when procrastinating logging and instead updating databases! Today for a few hours, oz_bean_counter and I are picking through a few geocaches on the Sunshine Coast and for a change, we found a geocache we both hadn't found; this one. Not just Morgan's but a choice for us too!
After battling Hastings Street, which I understand has the highest rent in the state, but also seems to have the most distracted drivers too, I poked the car into a handy parking space and we wandered off.
Things got increasingly interesting here. The track we were on wasn't marked, and eventually disappeared into the beach, doubtless thanks to erosion. But the views peeled open and it was a glorious sight, out across the end of the Noosa River.
Getting to GZ, we began looking about with no immediate joy. And the hint seemed off. A scroll throiugh previous logs and others had mentioned fabled alternate numbers. More scrolling, I found the new GZ and plugged it into the app.
For those that follow, try here; **S26° 23.231 E153° 04.684**. And ignore the hint; it's misleading and wrong. As is most of the description. We did find the replacement geocache though, and signed the logbook right about 13:00. And with that done, we headed off to the next closest, chatting about whatever it was we'd put on pause. Thanks for this choice, cooroy scouts

Found it. Definitely not a paperbark and use revised co ords in a log below. No pen so posting lid as proof
Third cache of the day today in this location. It was interesting to see the damage that erosion had done to the path in places. I was absolutely murdered by sandflies on the way to this one! Thanks e_smiley for your notes and assisting with the find. TFTC Cooroy Scouts
Coming back for a second attempt proved successful after some clever previous catchers hinted at different coordinates. A beautiful spot nevertheless TFTC
Not a paperback. Used revised coords by previous cacher. Close to vagrant camp. Just hanging around. No cement path within 15 m as suggested, sandy track, last bit easier to walk than cycle.
Found it using coordinates suggested below. Not a two litre bottle with swapables. Almost a micro, also not at base of a tree.
Nice find though - nice spot. So funny someone was here before us today. We also said hello to the man camping here.

Today, my visiting Adelaide family and I travelled north to see the Sunshine Coast. We started the day at the Eumundi markets, and then drove north-east to Noosa, where we had a walk along the trendy shops and out towards Noosa Spit. It was then a slow southerly drive back making miscellaneous stops at Peregian Beach, Coolum Beach, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba. A small highlight was the boardwalk connecting the beach and dunes at Mount Coolum.
After visiting the top of the peninsula, I returned back towards Hasting Street, making a jog along the informal sandy tracks out towards this geocache. I jogged past a welcoming doggie beach, and then continued along out towards that direction, passing by various boats anchored along the peninsula, and perhaps surprised someone had chosen to jog past their private cove. I soon arrived at GZ and had a quick search around, and it was only until reading a few past logs, that I saw the cache right in front of my eyes. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks cooroy scouts for the cache placement, and dahumbug for its ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this oldie 12/2006 hidden cache, which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.

This was a DNF for us on our trip to Noosa a year ago. We were up here on holidays again with the geo-pup and had a read through the recent logs to see if it was worth searching for again. We ignored the paperbark clue as suggested and found it at the revised co-ordinates listed below. TFTC
Definitely use the adjusted coords as suggested by a previous finder, for those that don't read through all the logs, it is a preform hanging in a tree.
Today’s my birthday so I needed a birthday cache. Headed for a morning walk with the family. Couldn’t find the cache on the first look. Headed out to the point. A quick read of logs. Tried new coords as suggested by others and didn’t look for a paperbark tree but looked where I would hide a cache and then it was a quick find. Lovely area for s walk TFTC dahumbug
My husband and i are up here for the weekend and we picked up a few smileys. We enjoyed the walk to GZ and searched the paper bark tree with no luck so we read a few logs and Used 231 684 like someone suggested and soon had the cache in hand . Thanks for taking us to this lovely spot and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy.

I had the pleasure to join Chamad, Willis007 and E_Smiley for a full days expedition on the stunning Sunny Coast. The morning started off with a quick paddle on Lake MacDonald than slowly but surely we made our way towards Noosa than south down the coast. The goal for the day was to grab any Q1000 caches we could and a bunch of other caches in the region that would go towards several challenges we're working on.
What a fabulous day with great company, I guess you can't complain about the weather either, it was a perfect day to be outdoors. We had a blast!
Thank you for the cache and thank you for giving us a reason to stop by today.

Another great day of caching, full of fun, lots of laughs and antics, and another big haul of target caches. At the recent QOGM event, a tentative booking for a paddle up Noosa way was made by Esmiley. Willis007 and myself jumped at the chance to grab a few target caches that we needed for loops and challenge caches. We even got Nayfee out for the long day to join us. Over the last few days, a plan was hatched; we first started on Lake MacDonald to finish off some paddle caches. From there it was a drive around picking up, well more like cleaning up oldies and trads as we went along. My main target was “Traditional” as I had been here twice before and never succeeded (more to follow on that one). A few more around Noosa way and then down the highway to finish in Peregian Beach area. Truly, a fantastic day and one that goes into the books as a fun adventure day.
Working our way east we had a list of finds to grab, this was one of those. We parked the cars and headed along the path before heading into the bush. An easy find and with the log signed, cache replaced it was onto the next one. Thanks for the fun hide.

A plan was put together for a day of Sunshine Coast caches, our crew of E_Smiley, Nayfee and Captain chamad set out for a paddle in Lake McDonald then some land based caches across to Noosa and south towards Coolum.
We collected a great selection of caches and enjoyed a stunning warm Queensland day.
Thank you to the cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain these caches for us to enjoy.

This cache, due to it's age was a no brainer when we were rolling around the area the other day.
Flabbergasted at the crowds and well, yeah. It's been a while, noosa.
So we happily rolled out on this sandy track to the little sandy peninsular.
A beautiful spot and one well deserving of a geocache. Incredible to think it's lasted alive in this iconic location so long, no doubt a few incarnations in it's lifetime.
It took some time to find, the hint's irrelevant now i realised after some time. I found it about ten odd metres east of gz. The coords that worked for me were 231 and 684 although i didn't hang around too long for bounce.
Thank you so much dahumbug for keeping this old one alive and hats off to the cooroy scouts wherever you are for hiding a geocache in such an iconic location so long ago.

Searched around for a while but could not find. A lot of debris and fallen trees but struggled to find a spot suitable
In Noosa for a holiday, we've got a travel bug that we wanted to put here but couldn't find it. Maybe next time
We enjoyed a beautiful walk along the beach. The water was lovely and calm. Mr. Herbz made the find and now we'll return along the path ( if we can find it.). TFTC.

After a paddle up and down the Mary River this morning, time for a few that needed a bit less effort. Targeting a few of the older ones around nearby. This was a nice little leg stretch and a good quick find.
Thanks cooroy scouts for entertaining me at this location.

What a beautiful spot. Came In along the beach. The path behind wad much easier. Tftc
*Time to be a leader, a responsible cache owner, a thoughtful person regarding humanity.
Groundspeak or Geocaching HQ have been slow to be on the front foot regarding this matter so its left for us cachers to lead the way*
**"With discussions here about whether or not or it is okay to ignore closures etc to go caching, please let me offer some perspective.
Given the likely death toll from COVID-19 in the USA will be in 6 figures at least (that’s tens of thousands) and more likely in 7 (that’s millions) as well as in 8 figures worldwide (that’s tens of millions), not following restrictions designed to save lives is industrial grade selfish.
So our streaks may have to end.
And our physical caching may have to stop.
Hopefully not too many of our lives will end but some most definitely will. And I am certain around the world some of our caching family have already died.
COVID19 hangs around on surfaces so you don’t even have to physically be in the presence of someone who is positive. Just touching a surface (cache?) they have touched recently and then touching your face will do it.
I really really hope that a “Hail Mary” comes through and we get a vaccine in less than the expected 18 months. But until it is actually here being given to large numbers we are all at risk. And while older people are clearly more at risk young ones are dying too.
As I am sure some of you are wondering about my qualifications to offer this view, please check out my background. Not too hard if you have Google or another search engine. “Dr Bill Griggs” should do it.
Please stay as safe as you can people.
And please follow the rules designed to keep you and all of us safe.**
Cheers to Bill, aka Brad&Janet for the information.

Found the paperback but no cache there. Nice walk, just wished we had bought our toys.
Great boat ride down the river. Anchored at this shore to find the cache. Many many trees had fallen making this a very very difficult find. We were very lucky in picking this one up as we had already given up. A bit dangerous now. Would have been an initial great hiding location. I would suggest a small relocation to a safer zone with less fallen trees. Still very enjoyable experience overall! TFTC

Quick find but unfortunately I didn't have a pen so took a look photo of the log instead. The log was nice and dry.
The geohub has been wanting to do these caches for ages but we generally avoid Noosa Heads due to it’s busyness and parking difficulty. Today though, I had a hunch it was going to be reasonably quiet. And I was right. Yippee! The spit is always so beautiful to visit and you can just sit and stare for ages. We came for the afternoon and saw a glorious sunset. I could be forgiven for thinking I was in Santorini. But our beaches are way better. A lovely walk to GZ too along the diverted track. Not sure who Morgan is, maybe a geopup given the location, or a Captain of the rum variety, which would also be appropriate here. Either way, he/she made an awesome choice. Thanks for putting a cache here and for maintaining it Humbug.
Enjoyed all these caches along the spit. This one is in desperate need of a new container.

We were up at Noosa for the morning and the weather was having a hard time working out what it wanted to do. At this point in time it had stopped again, of course it had as we were no longer out on the water. We parked the car and ventured off for a small walk with umbrellas just as a precaution.
Heading to GZ we see the path is closed, we find another sort of path and follow that before we are hit with some swamp land. We squelched through to get closer to the beach again, now we see why the area is closed in parts, trees have come down on the beach everywhere. Well, that never stops a geocacher, a little further in and we find what we are after. The lid is broken but the log is holding up and we could easily sign our name.

Didn’t venture far today, the concrete path ended wth a caution of do not pass, still 200+m from the cache. If we had more time we would have ventured on through the sand
