Cache is very wet. I found it today and the log book is absolutely soaked. One of the clips on the container had not been clipped tight. I tossed out the silica which fell apart and dried it as best I could with a clean hanky - I also added about 5 fresh silica sachets, but book will really need to be taken home to dry out.
Nice place for a cache but was very visible, I tried to put a few leaves over it to help the hide

Overcast damp morning. Noboby around makes it easy to find caches. Took the gnome left a tape measure. TFTC
Actually three slides here, but the long geo slide is too narrow for these adult cachers.
BTW - found a cache nearby. Thanks

Great old worlde park, obviously it has been passed over by the PC brigades. Loved the slide, merry go round and tyre climb, the big swings are great too. Had to try the slide of course, even Mrs E went down it. TFTC.
3.25pm. A great little park. Didn't have time to give the slide a try
Plenty of people around but nobody took any notice of us.

A pit stop was required on the way home, so we decided to kill two birds with one stone.
Dropped off Dragon Spinner.

Found with Wilson#41.
We think the adult muggles on the swings were "secret seven", especialy as one had a toy rabbit under his arm.
The slide reminded me of a large metal one I used to play on as a child. They always looked bigger back then.....

Found this with Kwaka40. An easy find. We were suprisd to find a bunch of grown-ups sitting on the swings and then heading to the slide.. we read the last entry in the log which stated 'The secret seven'.. a quick count up had them figured out!
We had a look at the slide but I figured my nylon shorts wouldn't handle the friction!
Nice spot. TFTC

Yes another find. This was really fun. Took us a bit longer this time. And we found a travel Bug. So exciting this is.
Of course we had to have some slides of the mega slide.

Mammouth slide has stained my shorts! Left UK 50 pence piece and took plastic bracelet. TFTC.
First cache find in NZ. Hope it is the first of many. Visited with caznal. Left UK 50 pence piece and Caz took the bracelet. Was expecting a wire slide but found a long plastic blue one instead. TFTC.
Had to hurredly re-hide the cache when muggles started setting up lunch on the picnic table.
Kids loved the geo-slide. Yep, we met the challenge...

Quick find, been here alot when younger so nice to come back and see whats changed. TNLN Cheers
Had to be quick here, as a whole bunch of kids on bicycles arrived as we had begun the search. The hint ensured a hasty retrieval and on we went to the next. SL. TFTC.
Also logging in and out our England Geocoin.

A quick stop off on our way back to Christchurch. No one around so found easily, no time to play on swings though, shame! TNLN TFTC
Fun fun fun! Played on all the bits of equipment, the bridges, the slide etc. Just like being a kid again, much to Mrs Moose's amusement. A quick find once I'd stopped playing and started searching. Thanks for the fun.
A quick find while trying to give Charles Upham some time to de-muggle himself. Found this cache allright, but the muggles remained relentless for two further visits on the other cache! -TB LNSL, thanks for the cache.
Second visit, last time there were far too many little kiddies

Another break for the kids to run about while we got down the the serious act of geocaching.
A quick find.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Quite a few muggles about on a Sunday afternoon. Mrs Nof closely "examined" the neraby tree while I pulled the old shoelace trick. All done and back in a tick. Thanks for the excuse to stop.
As I was approaching this cache, I had a big 4WD turn in front of me. It had the number plate ONE LESS than the one on the car I was driving!!! Fancy that. All the way from Timaru and the vehicles meet again over 200km away.
8.50am. Quick find on our way to Picton. Didn't accept the challenge to take the slide - only the frame remains.
Swapped note pads. - Travelling Story Book. Thank you David & Noeline

Children enjoyed the playground very much. Took Pookie the Penguin (travel bug) and will take him to Quail Island this weekend.
5th of 5 caches today, and another quick easy find. Couldn't try the mammoth slide, looks like it has been taken away for repairs so guess we will have to come back in summer. Took the TBs, left TB Pookie the Penguin and a bookcrossing book. TFTC
Quick find next to the playground although had to send in the kids to drive off the elderly couple having a cuppa.
Swaps and left TB Blue Airplane.

It was a bit too easy to find. The cache was badly exposed. I tried to cover it up better.

Our first for the day. Was a quick find and looking a tad exposed so recovered it completely up. May the winds be kind to it. This looks like the start of us following STOW around all day. TNLN Cheers!
Couldnt even get close, too many muggles on skateboards really close, and they looked like there were here for the duration
Called in for this on my to Reefton / Waiuta. Quickly found and on my way. I forget what trade I conducted. Thanks for this. Hatas
Called in on the way to Lake Sumner. Rugby game in progress. We took the lego man and left a special peg. We looked, but couldn't find the big slide. Road to Lake S was inaccessible, even with a 4WD. TFTC Long-John
Nice park. Found easily enough. We didnt indulge in the ice creams but the cafe did supply us with a well earned coffee.
Cool playground. Dragged Dad around it all. Nice easy secluded find. TFTC TNLN
Nice easy find after finding the area was away from the muggers playing in the park
Nice One!!!!!!!!! Great stop on our way home after a long weekend of Super 14, shopping and geocaching. Had to wait a few minutes for a van load of muggles to finish their morning tea and then a quick and easy find. Neat domain. +Little man - nothing Thanks
When I first arrived, I was hoping that the location wasn't too close to the item in the title, as there were lots of kids at the skate park. Luckily it was nice and discrete, and easy to hunt in peace. TNLN, Thanks.
Another place we didn't know about. Now to find the slide. Thanks. Took: Laser pen Left: Train.
Went around in circles a bit - as usual.
Some junior muggles playing nearby so had to be "secret squirrel".
Lovely spot to stop on the usual jaunts north. Love the playground.
took: winnie-the-pooh pencil case
left: laser pen
thanx

It is very quiet here today with only a motorhome parked nearby (20m from the cache) with the occupants inside eating lunch. I never knew that this place existed - ain't it great how geocaching makes known these places? TNLN T4TC. Cheers.
2nd find on a trip to Picton.
Left a bookcrossing book, took Spoonhead TB along for the roadtrip.

After logging the cache went and found the slide. Its rather steep and fast but Stephen felt like being 5 years old and went on the slide. TNLN.
Nice easy find, although I had to be careful replacing it due to muggles. No sign of the promised geocoin or travel bug - so I added a TB for the next finder to discover.
Well after the last couple of days I thought summer had finally arrived, but how wrong was I[?] Yes It's raining again! [:(!] I decided to call in here quickly as it sounded like a straight forward find and I shouldn't get too wet. Found the cache quite easily and managed to stay semi dry. TFTC

A nice spot, and a very easy find - always a good thing on a hot day. No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(738)
1296. It was a quick find then had a turn on the slide. That is quite impressive in a children's playground.
Thanks for the cache

Stopped on way to the gala at Motunau Beach. Lovely sunny morning. Started early. Even so the bowlers were arriving while I was there. Took a roller skate and left fluffy balls.
For a change we didn't cheat and use any clues as our GPS was spookily accurate and took us to within arm's reach of the cache. Great slide tucked away at the end of the playground.
found this one resonably easy after we got our finger probs with the GPS sorted. Thanks
