Great lookout to show the kids our local surrounds. Dad did some rock hopping down to the cache. Not 100% it was where it was supposed to be as it was more in the open. Put it back a little further in its hiding spot. TFTC
Find#2152After seeing the nearby event published I had spoken to Banj about getting this cache. I messaged the CO about doing maintenance on this cache as it had not been found for a while. Banj had found it previously and confirmed that it was lost. We replaced it with GeoIan and Madrabbitohs. An outstanding view. TFTC
What a great view over the local countryside. Found with Deni_f and Geoian. Such a shame there is so much rubbish in the bush nearby and around the rocks where the cache is placed. TFTC
Couldn’t find… looked under lots of rocks that were safe to do so. Found this cool cave… maybe next time.
Out and about but failed to unearth this one. Spent some time here, had morning tea and had another crack at it, but no smilie for us today. What a great place to visit, excellent views and a good 4x4 trek into the area.

After a lazy picnic and some tasting in Pokolbin, we drove up Broken Back Road to the few caches on the top of the mountain. The off road track, especially closer to the caches was quite challenging but my geoJeep did her job well!
The views were amazing! Nearby, a couple put up their tent. What an awesome spot to spend the night. I will definitely come back to do the same!

This one has been attempted so many times, but today I spotted the container lying on the ground.
Thanks Billy&Jad for the cache.

Sad, as stumbled over rocks and near the edge near the geo coordinates and check lots of spots, even with the clue. However it was a fantastic day
Found it a few years ago with the family and glad to see it’s still there. This is my favourite camping site to come to as a last minute trip!
Sadly this is another DNF for me. Had a look around on a wet day but between kid wrangling and how slippery it was I was unable to go further down than the first 10m.
We were here about two years ago but sadly we didn't find the cache. Today we returned, but weren't able to get as close to GZ as last time, so we walked about 600 metres and found the cache almost immediately. It wasn't hidden very well, so we put a rock on top of it. TFTC!
This is my new favourite place in the world! Was able to drive most of the way but had to walk the last km to one of the best views I've ever seen! Will definitely be back!
Dropped my first trackable!
Pic for the turn off.

Finally on my third attempt, I found this awesome cache. brilliant views from a great location. dropped off TB . Fave point from me
My second attempt to find, and muggles are camping right next to GZ. Better luck next time
What a great secret. A beautiful lookout and a beautiful drive. Drove right up to the cache in a cx 5. A bit of off road exp helps but absolutely doable.
One of my fave caches ever.
This is exactly why we do geocaches to find local knowledge places out of the way in areas we don’t know.
Thanks for the cache.

Couldn't find, even with help, will try another day. Thanks for bringing me up here for the view
The last time I was up on Broken Back just on a year ago, I think this cache had been muggled so I'd earmarked it for a return journey sometime. Now finding myself sitting on 798 finds, I decided to head back up, making this one 799 and Yellow Billy's Cave number 800.
Having read lee737's log, I was forewarned about the high intensity cicadas and had ear plugs handy - the moment I stepped out of the car I was glad I'd brought them! I parked at the turnoff from Broken Back Road as the first bit of the track to GZ looked a bit dodgy, but the rest of it was okay and with a bit of care I'm sure I'd have gotten the RAV4 up there. Just to prove the point, as I was about to start walking, another 4WD with similar ground clearance to mine came trundling down the track.
Once at GZ, I quickly spotted the cache. What a beautiful location, even with the hazy conditions. Some amazing rock formations too.
Many thanks for the hide and bringing me to this excellent location.

It was nearly 2 years ago that we first drove out here, and were rained out. The weather seemed no better, but we persevered. Today we had the team granddads with us for the drive. We parked at the side road, and baulked at the initial climb, it was pretty rutted and greasy, so we walked in, it's an enjoyable 1.6km return, so no problem - the cicadas in here today were the loudest I've ever heard, they actually hurt your ears.....
We arrived at the magnificent view, and spent a few minutes letting the GPS settle, while watching a local rock wallaby watch us. Samuel and I climbed down and found the cache within a few metres of the indicated position. All nice and dry.... Thanks bshwckr and Billy&Jad, it was worth the wait!

A great caching adventure weekend with Team Canary and The Hancock Clan
No problems with The Hancock Clan Geo Patrol making it to within 15m of GZ. What a stunning vista and future camp spot. It was then on to the search. A likely area was spotted and rocks moved but no result. Another spot was identified and in we went to make the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC. A favourite point from us.

Had these caches on the radar for a while now. Today was the day. What a view. TFTC
The cache was replaced in pretty much the same spot as the original cache but around and under the other side of the rock, behind some smaller rocks, making it much more concealed, out of view from muggles and more difficult to find.
I believe it has been muggled or destroyed again. Please check cache. Thank you!
Looked everywhere, and got advice from two others that have found it previously. Strongly believe that it has been muggled. Please advise.
did this as part of other caches in the area
while the terrain was not as difficult
I believe that the cache has one of the better views over the farm lands and town ships
Many thanks to the CO for bringing us on the Journey

Got to drive all the way to GZ on this one! Dunno why people seem to be whimping out on the drive in! Its pretty straight forward! After soaking up the beyond incredible views on this one, we hunted briefly and came up with the goods! Just a fantastic location, pretty much one of the best and most extensive in NSW. TFTC!!!!!

Found myself up here 4x4ing with Elev8!on with the specific aims of grabbing some caches further along the ridge towards Brokenback.
The views up here are incredible, stretching over 90km atleast, and incidentally impossible on a 'Globe'.
I certainly wouldnt have brought my low rider up here and was glad we were in the Mighty RAV4.

We had planned a trip up to Broken Back and after a bit of rain in the morning it turned out to be a fine afternoon. The roads weren't wet at all just nicely settled so no dust. This was our first stop on the range. This spot is truly spectacular, just incredible views. The cache was found after a short search. TFTC.
A mini road trip with the kids out to the Pokolbin area today, with a particular cache in mind, at least to investigate access roads etc.
'Air' was our target today. We set off in fine weather, and arrived in the State Forest in drizzle, which turned into rain the further in we drove. The road surface was getting pretty slick, and what we assume was the road to 'Air' from the main track didn't look inviting in the wet with two kids on my own!
I didn't like the prospect of cliff-edge searching in the wet either.....
Another day!

Happy 10th wedding anniversary to us! What an incredible view. We were worried the xtrail wouldn't make the first part of the 4WD part so a 700m hike in & out. That's one way to work off all the cheese we are at lunch!!! Didn't focus enough on gps coordinates. If we did it would have been a super quick find. We spent the time enjoying the view. TFTC.
Sehr gut gefunden sehr schöner Cache Geile Geile Aussicht sehr cool vielen dank. (6)

We came up here to re visit an old favorite cache that we found in 2008 as well as picking up two local ones as well. Found the hide in good nick and replaced the waterproof bag as it was ripped. It has changed since the original which was an ammo tin from memory. great views still and nice to come back.
Thanks for placing it and keeping it going.

Wow! I made that so much harder than it needed to be. Walked out from the northwest making my own trail and ended up on the wrong point, 277m from GZ looking at a massive drop. Insert increased T rating here. Reckon 4.5 about right for the way I went. Laughed my butt off when I arrived and found a road at GZ. What an amazing view it is from here too. Thoroughly enjoyed the hike and the location. FP from me. TNLN TFTC
I got my team of Dad and nephew to accompany me for a morning of 4WDing. I had been up the mountain to the radio tower more then a year ago, but was not game to take my car up again, especially as these caches were further off the main track. It seemed to take even longer this time , just to reach this cache. We parked 300 meters away at a nice little camp ground. At GZ my nephew did not like the cliffs and Opa jumped to the rock right at the point. We made our way back and down to the cache and as we were signing it another person turned up on a bike. My dad told him all about geocaching, which I do not think he cared about, and said he was "just following my nose".
Thanks for the 4WD, walk, climb and cache!

OMG! As geocaching newbies we had no idea what to expect so we just plodded along ignoring all the stars for difficulty etc. I mean how difficult is difficult anyway right? Well that was a challenge for us. Not sure how you would do it without a 4wd? Whilst we have one I still have never really gone 4wd'ing, (tick another challenge) I managed to get us there and back. We were also trying to beat the setting sun (another challenge) and then once there whilst the view was breathtaking it was also rather overwhelming but in the end success and or reward our first trackable item! TFTV bshwckr but definitely needed a vino after that one
TFTC!!! While the geo wife was looking for caches closer to home, I went in search of this cache. started out on the wrong road then re-read the description and had a look through the maps and then got on the right path. We missed the turn at the top but when we got the right way again & wasn't long before we were at the edge. What a view. Cache wasn't to hard to find, signed the log and replaced. Favourite point from me. Thank you bshwckr
Great view and great locations. My 2wd Mitsubishi asx made it without trouble but definitely recommend a high clearance car
Found at 10:46 AM GAFF2. We had an interesting time trying to find the access to the track up to this cache. We were staying at Harrigan's just a few kms away, but it took about an hour to get to it [:o)] We went past what we thought was the access, but it said "Private Access" so we headed off trying to find another road - there were non . So we came back; this time ignoring the sign and drove past some houses and then suddenly we were in the bush [^] We love caches where you have to find your own way in! When we arrived at GZ we took the opportunity to take a few photos of the stunning view on such a beautiful day.
Interesting to note that Air charted in Australia!
Thanks bshwckr.

Found this cache while in the Hunter Valley to see Hunter & Collectors at one of the wineries last night. We set out yesterday for this cache from the south but my GPS showed a road but that never eventuated. The rest of the gang decided they must visit a winery or three for a small sampling, so this cache had to wait for Sunday's cache run. We had my parents following in their 2wd Falcon so we had to hoof it from 700m. Otherwise the road wasn't too bad, very rocky though. It was pretty warm today and we were a little dusty from the Hunnas last night so we packed plenty of drink bottles and up we went. Dad wasn't handling it too well but once we were about halfway it was downhill. We stopped off along the way at a couple of stops as the view was stunning! Once at GZ we stopped fro lots of photos while I went over the edge. Once the cache duties were completed I climbed back up around the cliff face. It was absolutely stunning. So glad we made the effort to wander up here.
Thanks for the cache and Cheers from Browngang

Came up Broken Back Road after finding Valley Views. My little car could handle the dirt road until it got to the turnoff 700m from GZ. From there it was a pleasant bushwalk through some fabulous bush with the cicada symphony going strong in the background. At one stage a cicada mistook my trousers for a tree and landed on me.
The views are extraordinary. I was a bit uncomfortable being close to the cliffs but soon had the cache located.
Thanks bshwckr. The cache is in good shape. Found at 8:24 am.

I remember my Dad taking me to this lookout when I was a kid and ever since I always wondered where it was. It took me a lot longer to get to GZ than I expected as the road was a bit worse for wear, with an average speed of 25km/h!! As I got close I took the right hand turn as per the description but I stupidly took the wrong turn off, oh well back down.
I was soon as at the top of the cliff and parked within 40 meters of GZ. I just wanted to sit and take in the views before I started looking for the cache. Found the cache right away, took a view snaps and took in the view again. I could of spent much more time up there but it was getting dark and I wanted to see the road coming down.
Thank you so much for placing this cache here!!

Had an adventure finding the road but well worth it for the magnificent views
Well, what a saga to find this cache, 3hrs of driving getting lost but it was well worth it!
after packing up the family we headed off to attempt the three caches on the eastern side of the range, the drive in was quite pleasant and possum jnr was quite taken with the grass trees on the approach to GZ. we opted for a short walk to the cache instead of attempting a drive by.
The views from GZ are fantastic, I have lived all my life in the area and never knew this existed, you could see quite clearly the back of the sand dunes at Stockton beach . given the terrain mrs possum kept a close eye/hold on possum jnr whilst I made the recovery.
took fridge badge
left digital watch

Did this cache on the way up to the communications tower some really nice views a could walk if you park your car on the main track and walk up to the GZ
Perfect day for a stroll through the bush, glad to have worn the long trousers!
I wasn't quite prepared, but we decided against the Aqua golf and went for a freebie here.
The drive was lovely and even OK in a 2x2 after we found the turn-off off pokolbin Mountain road.
The car wasn't gunna make the last 750m up the trail, so we simply walked it.
The picnic spots look great and even good enough for an overnighter if the wandering kids are not in tow.
Great views from the GZ.
Found the cache after we stopped taking photos, although it did take 5 minutes of hunting.
Had nothing to leave, not even a pathtag rolling around in my pocket, but i took great memories and good photos that I'll post to the au site laters. *Recommended*

WOW, no doubt that this is one of my favorites. As well as a great view the numerous sightings of small black wallabies (I think) the bushland is just stunning.
Horses on the way into the forest rather than cattle.

Found today in the early afternoon - what an absolutely beautiful spot! We surprised one of the (nice) locals sunning him/herself in the hunt for the cache, so interrupted the search for a photo opportunity.
Thanks for bringing us here. We set up our folding picnic table in some shade and enjoyed a celebratory late lunch after finding the cache (and the lizard).
Lovely!
Picked up Neigh Geocoin and will find a new forest for him/her to visit.

What a view and a awesome spot, we completed the rest of bshwcker's cache's in this area today but this on struck the right chord as the top rated location. Love the fact you get to do some rock hopping during the search and to check out the views. Thanks bshwckr for bringing us to such a great spot.
What a view! Mrs Chippyroo loved the nearby geology. We've been waiting for the geolux to be back in action to do this one but as it's still out of action we took Mrs Chippyroo's work ute for a spin. The views across the valley blew us away! Tftc.
When I was looking at this cache geocaching & Google mapping have no maps of area, so it was time to dig out the old trusty state forest maps & yes tracks to towers. I was a little annoyed that the GPS didn’t show the trails because I purchased extra topo mapping as a micro SD added card. Once I finally reached the entrance road & messing around with the GPS unit, I switched to cycling mode & that showed all the trails in the state forest. YES off to cache we went. I cycled (4wd) right to GZ. What a top view we were having today at cache location, took photos of the wineries in the distance. We could here live firing at the arming base in the distance. Well it took a little while to find cache, it wasn’t the easiest cache to locate. I’m amazed this cache was stolen in the past, was about to give up put a second look with 2 GPS unites nailed it, took travel bug left geo coin. We loved this cache, the drive out here to, caches like this are our favourites, thanks. TFTC / TFTH / SL
