We just can't seem to find a spot we're happy with, so will archive this one. Hope someone more creative can find a place to put a cache in this nice little spot of green.

13-Apr-08
The foliage has taken a beating in the cache area and it appears the cache is gone.

We will try and find a better hiding spot for this as it was a pretty ordinary hide.

Thanks to ncv for logging a dnf.

06-Apr-08
The storm that swept Melbourne on the 2nd of April damaged large trees and much of the vegetation around this park. Lots of broken branches and a beehive on the ground so gave up on trying to find this with friends. Will try again in the future when the park has had some work. Hoping the cache hasn't been swept away by flash floods.

23-Mar-08
Love these sort of places - little hidden parks where we never would've looked around if not looking for a cache.

Pen ran out, so no log entry written down. TFTC

08-Mar-08
Very nice, very green park. Didn't have anything green to leave, so left multi-coloured spring thing, took Indonesian banknote. TFTC.

Third of three on a family bike ride. We needed the hint on this one, since my GPS was off - but it was found quickly enough with five of us looking. Another great park.

08-Jan-08
What a wonderful park of indigenous plantings. Nice to see the area being cared for by a 'friends group'.
Easily found although I was a little concerned about being seen by the muggle looking through his kitchen window!
Left: Australian Army badge
Took: marble

Found by caughtatwork at 1:15
Another nice simple cache find for us this afternoon. Despite the GPS saying it was some 12m up the hill, we took a punt on where it should be hidden based on the terrain and difficulty and, bingo! A nice stroll through the park and back to the car, all in under about 10 minutes.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks listmaker for the chance to find your very first cache today.

I found this cache with caughtatwork today. It was nice to walk through the park to get to the cache. I didn't stick my hands in the rocks as I wasn't sure if there was a spider or snake at home. caughtatwork found this cache. Thank you listmaker.

02-Dec-07
Found on my weekend trek around the suburbs. Thanks for the clue, it helped a lot. Another great park. TNLNSL.

23-Nov-07
Another one that nearly got away, why is it the the last look as you are about to leave comes up trumps?

17-Nov-07
Left a bracelet and took a brooch. Found this one between wedding and reception in Melbourne.

17-Nov-07
Found at 0940. A nice little location for the hide. A few muggles passing by but no problems.

14-Nov-07
Couldn't resist the Red Jeep TB - I didn't even know they existed, so dropped by on the way home and grabbed it.

09-Nov-07
Nice little location. Despite 'ease' of location managed to circumnavigate location in search.
Bonus of this perambulation was to witness kookaburra - lizard interaction ... with fatal outcome for lizard. Area buzzing with mid-afternoon insect activity but only a few people around.
Spider egg sac on cache container ... added local flavour.
Log-book very full and needs replacement.
Took: "Green Beret" pin. Left: TB. TFTC.

Twas a busy day of seeing what the next nearest cache was. Originally planned to do about 5 trads... that turned into about 12 for the day with some multi's thrown in for good measure.

Friendly muggle walking her Lakeland Terriermistook us for Friends of the Creek. Certainly evident the volunteer group has been successful in their endeavour of revegetating this
park to a more natural state. Decided this would be a great spot to release Bluey the treefrog TB.
Thanks listmaker for getting us to visit.

This one was more perplexing than my previous find nearby. I had missed this one a week ago and decided that, with a quick find accomplished just up the road, I would have another attempt at it. Amazingly, I walked straight up to the spot for a very easy find at 10:15 in a place that I'm absolutely positive that I checked last week Surprised. If I didn't know better, I would think that something strange was going on but hey ...

TNLNSL. Thanks listmaker.

An easy find right where it was supposed to be. We left a verdunt-coloured multi-tool and removed the non-verdunt- coloured red clamp.

[2nd visit - still no luck.] We found 4 seperate drains - two either side of the rocks under the net. [Lots of searching in sword grass, but still no cigar... Sad]

Flying Pig Squadron has landed!
An easy find as it had been exposed through the lower leaves of the plant dying and breaking away.
Re-hidden just a little further to the left (looking at Union Road) where cache is better camouflaged.
GPS Co-ords were out on GZ.
Thank you for bring us back to a haunt of our early married life - not nearly 'wild' now.
Dropped off Lollypop TB to visit only as she wouldn't fit in the cache. Took Koala Keyring, left 'Green Beret' commando badge in keeping with the green theme.

11-Jul-07
My GPS was very keen for me to look for this one near the road so I resorted to the clue. I miss read it at first and so was looking in the wrong place. After a careful read I found the excellent hide.

30-Jun-07
It was getting dark so we used the clue and the cache is definitely there, just where it made sense to be. The GPS was a bit out (nothing unusual) but the clue was spot on.

Took: ball, Smurf
Left: 2 dinosaurs

My, my, the reluctant spouse and I both need new glasses! Red Face

Thank you, Alansee, for your experienced take on the cache.

edited to add: a visit tonight confirmed that the cache is still there, however as Alansee surmised, it has moved over just a little. I've updated the clue to reflect this.

I was Very Very interested to read the latest logs, as I went looking for this cache, sans the latest logs because of when I printed the info, and I found it within 10 seconds! Big Grin GAFF1 as pprass might say. Right where the coordinates and clue said it should be! Hmmmm.... odd goings on in the world of caching - Cache creep probably! Twisted A nice little hide in a nice little park too. Thanks listmaker.

19-Mar-07
I had printed out the sheet some 2 weeks earlier so I can also confirm it's a gonna.

17-Mar-07
When Maccamob couldn't locate the cache, I knew it must be gone. We visited today, and after waiting for the skateboarders to go, found it had indeed been muggled.

Will re-establish a new cache in a different spot asap.

16-Mar-07
This was to have been our final cache for the day, but we struck out. Hunted around for a while, checked the hint and some recent logs, and even called the Biggles Bear Help Desk. After all that, we were reasonably confident we had been looking in the right place - it fitted all the available information perfectly. All that was missing was a resident cache! We'll keep an eye on it to see if others are more successful.

12-Mar-07
I struggled with the brief section of clue I had (damn 50 character clue!), in the end I had to call in some help and the cache was found.

The muggles passing before me noted that they had never seen the creek all dried up before.

Thanks,

R - B

I found you’re cache today at 14:45 in the company of Spy-Kids. The rain was coming down as we drove to this one and then stopped long enough for us to grab the nice quick find. Thanks for the cache.

27-Jan-07
This is a lovely park. I should have explored more, but due to time constraints, I didn't. The GPS was giving me a little strife, so I decrypted the clue and had it soon afterwards. Thanks for showing me the park, and for the cache.

26-Jan-07
My two mates found this one while I was still waiting for the GPS to settle. Handy having six eyes instead of just two. TNLN

Took about 5 mins but eventually found the well camoflaged hide. TNLN. Thanks.

21-Jan-07
Found it with a little help from my brilliant 8 year old. The marker spot is close to the coordinates but it requires a little bit of looking to find. The cache itself is pretty packed - might want to find some flat objects to put in. T: Nothing, L: Green Bracelet. Smile

20-Jan-07
G'day Listmaker,

I found your cache today at 12:30pm as the first of twelve on my "Cirque de Suburbs" Tour. The rain was slow but steady and the park was green and lush. I used the clue but although part of it led me away from one place, another part of it led me back there. A call to Dak helped me resolve the problem. Thanks for our 1st Listmaker cache.

Regards,

D B-A

Last cache for the day as I headed home for dinner. Arrived at GZ just as the GPSr batteries died so search was slightly delay as new batteries were installed. Approach GZ and was a bit premature in searching as the GPSr had still not fully recovered from the restart. Soon it settled and pinpointed the cache quickly.
Took: Nothing, Left: Nothing
Thanks listmaker for a visit to a bushy haven

Found by Pickupfamily Dad 1840hrs. What a delightful park/reserve/planting, something the locals can be very proud of! Thanks for bringing me here listmaker. Surprisingly I found the cache without consulting the clue as there were lots of options. The co-ords must have been spot on. Took the geocoin.

05-Jan-07
This was not what we expected as we headed here, it was a very nice litle park indeed. No one was utilising the area and the cache was found quickly. We had nothing green with us so left instead a geocoin with a green centre.
Thanks listmaker for a great first cache

04-Jan-07
Found at 6.30pm GAFF1. On my way home on a warm evening, I made a slight detour to go look for this cache in an area which I thought I knew. However on arrival it was completely different to what I rembered it to be 20yrs ago. Once again - completely santised and made easy for the people of today. Thanks listmaker for bringing me back. Took: Earings, Left: Mini clip.

Found by Bob at 1025

This one is right on my way to work, but today was the first chance I had to go for it. I parked at the nearest point and a short walk had me at GZ where, after a short search, I was able to come up with the goods. I'd read the previous logs and clue before leaving home which undoubtedly made things a lot easier Wink.

TNLN

Thanks listmaker, it looks like another great little park in an area that abounds with them Smile.

03-Jan-07
Located this after a considerable search since there are lots of potential hiding places. Had to use the clue in the end Sad

I often walk through here. Very pleasant.

Took skateboard and left koala key ring. Just fitted lid back on! Thanks "listmaker".

TNLN, thanks listmaker, a great little park.

01-Jan-07
16:30 Solomonfamily's 1st *FTF* Smile Thanks listmaker a very nice spot. I was a little worried that someone was watching me through the window (we had a not pleasant muggle experience earlier in the day) but it turned out fine. I travel near here a bit as my sister's family live only a few km away. I recommend that the terrain be reduced as I didn't have to leave the path. In: Skateboard and Beads(not as nice as the jewels in the cache) Out: TB and Diamond Ring - which I presented to my queen when I got home. Thanks again - well done.

01-Jan-07
I thought about diving out as soon a this one came online, but I didn't. I even thought I might still snare the FTF, but I didn't. I thought that either the Solomons or the Pickups would beat me to the FTF, and at least I was right about that. Smile Emu-M and dak approached from the closest point, and arrived at GZ shortly after leaving the car. It took us a fair while to locate it, and we must have looked right at it at least twice without seeing it. [B)] Anyhow, we finally found it at 1710. First find for 2007. Thanks to listmaker for the cache.

IN: Compass/whistle/LED torch key ring
OUT: Sharpie pen
