Logs
Time to archive. Unfortunately, Doc has been destroyed, and with minimal recent finds, and a probable relocation for the cache owner in the near future, its time to bid farewell.

This was number 3 for the Bryces...
We found him sort of in the open, but could see where he belonged so he's now safe and sound and vertically challenged again...

Incredible views. great drive in and out and a cache, what more could one ask for. Well, I suppose someone to wash the car would be handy.

We have been wanting to find this cache for a while so when KevL visited with his 4wd drive, it was too good an apportunity to pass up. With the completion of stage 2 of Kirkwood Road, there are no longer roadwaorks in the area. However, one does need a 4wd, a motor trailbike, or a fit person riding a good Mountain bike to access this cache. One can walk it but it is a hell of a long and hard walk. But the views when you get there are well worth the trouble. They are amazing! We found the cache easily and can mark off another of Bundy's gnome caches. Thanks once again Bundy.
5.35pm. Now that is a quick response time as far as checking on and replacing a missing cache! Thank you. We decided to take a detour on our way home to find the newly replaced Doc. Glad to report that we found him safe and sound right where we figured he should have been on our last visit. This is a great place to take in the sunset and once again the geo-kiddies loved the drive! TFTC.
Doc seems to have suffered the fate of other caches around the world, disappeared into the wide world of nowhere to be found.
He has been replaced by a brother gnome.

Loved the location. Had no trouble finding GZ and the kids loved the drive! Could not find any sign of the Doc though. Hope he hasn't gone walkabout.
Geowife didn't come on this trip down to Gladstone so I picked up some local tallent ( Bundy ) to act as navigator. All the new roads in the area upset the modern nav .gear but Bundy soon had us on track. And I do mean track ! At last the correct hill top was reached without needing to call on the Doc's professional services. The cache was soon in hand. TNLNSL. Thanks Bundy .If you ever get sick of driving trains I'll write you a reference for a job as a local tour guide. I couldn't have done this one without your help !
I've spent many hours around this location and didn't know about Doc. I even stopped right beside him one day too enjoy the scenery. This time however I was denied access by a council worker in a large Bulldozer, So I had to take a different track that left me with a 1 kilometer walk. fairly steep too. 2 k there and back had me sweating in the mid day heat.
Aw well I need the exercise. TFTC

A very successful afternoon of caching today with Spark & Wiz. We found this one quickly. We enjoyed the ride to the top and the views were fantastic. Took in the views, before signing the log book. My favourite so far
found with my brother who wants to join now, as soon as he gets a gps. terrific view great location TNLN TFTC
Finally got around to putting the 4x's hubs in and cruising up to this one. It is certainly well named and worth doing just for the view. There have been fires through here recently but Doc is in good condition.
The owner offered to guide us to this location, we would never have found our way in and out without him. Wasn't long before we located Doc - he must have the best view in town.

Amazing now a few days easily turns into a couple of months. What with work, christmas, and other things.
Back on line now. Apologies for the delay.
Reenabled with a geocoin to make up for it.

Happened to drive by Doc tonight, so stopped and checked on his welfare. He needs a little TLC, so I will disable for a few days.
On checking the log book, I found a muggle entry by Ron and Neen, dated 4-9-07.

Having only access to a Corolla hire car, I thought today would be a nice day for a bit of a hike. Managed to drive within 1.8 km of the cache. The hike ahead looked daunting but I managed to do it in 40 minutes (one way).
Very enjoyable hike. TFTC.
BTW There is no sign of the Brick GC.

What a way to find out 500th cache!!
Lots of tracks in here, I think we must have taken the scenic route but that allowed King of Sand to have a play in our 4wd!!
Followed the telgraph roads, the unmarked tracks and eventually at the end of it all found a cache!!!
Thanks for a great adventure and beautiful views from the top. Anyone considering walking this cache better give themselves alot of time!!!

Well it was certainly an electrifying drive in. I am sure if it was wet it would be even more so. Unique look at the surrounding countryside and longer views as well. TNLN. Thanks Bundyrumandcoke
tracks everywhere....took one wrong turn, before finding a track that took us to the cache but was way more adventurious than the track we decided to take home when leaving the GZ.
Left the brick.
