Great view.Signed the roos.wow! What a spectacular view.Here with drobbonz kimmy533 and kiwisteve2. Tftc
Interesting place that we would never have known about. Thanks for taking us there.
Staying in Gladstone after spending a couple of days on Curtis Island with the brumbies, curlews and kangaroos - as part of our 'north for warmer weather' trip (North East Vic to Central Qld).
Thanks to all COs who have provided caches along the way.

Heading to Gladstone for some Dipping Dots and as usual get distracted by some caches on the way.
Be warned it is a dirt road getting to here and if you're not an experienced driver you may want to bring someone that is. Buttons was driving and got half way up one of the last hills when the car lost all traction. She managed fine getting the car back down to the bottom and with a bit of a run up got all the way up and over.
Admiring the views for a minute we headed off, me following the track and Buttons going bush.
We both arrive to be greeted by a grumpy old fella who allows us to sign the log and move on.

In the area with Selva Girls today to pick up some caches and this was one of them. An early morning wander up to this one before heading to the Botanical Gardens.
Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. Nice to see this old one doing well.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.
Great location a FP from me.

I had seen this cache on the map a few months ago. I told a geobuddy that it was nice that someone had put put a tribute cache to him and that we should find it if we ventrued north again.
We had plans for a trip away, but they were changed to plan B due to flooding along our intended route. Instead, we decided to head north. Naturally, this cache made it onto the list of caches that I wanted to find. (I think I will pay for this in the future {:P}
We missed the turnoff to GZ, so took the long way round. There, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. Loved the view from here. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC

Somehow we ended up here from the botanic gardens. Happy (not Grumpy) we did though!!
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!

Grumpy been already waiting for us.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 124. Gladstone Day 1. I spent the day caching in the Gladstone region, first I headed down to Tannum Sands, then I looped back into Gladstone via another road and did some suburban caches before heading into the port and marina fore shore area to finish my day off.
On the map on my GS there was quite a major road along here. In the real world I found myself winding along and up a very back road. Having said that, once at GZ I did like the viewpoint and was happy to see the cache guardian without any problems.
Thanks for the cache Bundyrumandcoke

Day 2 of our Mega road trip. LDavs was awake early so while the house was sleeping, she snuck out to do some caching.
A fun drive up the hill and a short walk to GZ. Found the cache guardian first then spotted the cache. Tftc

Quick and easy find and nice view and nice breeze. Fun road to drive on.
I think the grumpy old man needs a missus, he must get lonely and what an amazing view
For us a round trip from Brisbane Gladstone to Emerald, Roma then Brisbane to get the geoart in Emerald. Today was our Hervey Bay to Gladstone leg.
Cache guardian doing a great job. Favourite point from the little turmoils.

I have a project to find and log original logbooks for old caches. This is one of them! Thanks 1MinnieMoo for the pictures (attached).
Just leaving Boyne island to head to Yeppoon and thought we’d stop along the way to get this one. Haha the road isn’t suitable for towing caravans... it we made. All part of the adventure. Tftc
Day 3 of a long weekend adventure in Gladstone Region, along with Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo and Fangsoki. Mostly targeting older caches, and whatever else popped up on our radar. After a failed approach option #1, we went back around the longer way, and the road was quite fine for us. Views a bit hazy from here, but one little fellow was patiently watching the world go by. We said hello in the geocaching approved manner.
Thanks Bundyrumandcoke for entertaining me at this location.

4/10/20 Find #4186
Heading to this cache, Fangsoki, Pprime, Crew153 and I almost thought we had come unstuck and would have to skip it as there were roadworks at the start of the road we were entering on and the road from there was closed. However my map suggested an alternative entrance was possible, and the lads, dubious as they were, agreed to at least have a look at it and decide from there whether to continue or turn around if things seemed impossible.
Well, of course the iPhone was right, and this way in was actually pretty simple, and the lads had to admit android defeat once more.
Pulling the car up we headed out and across to make a cute find.
Thanks for the cache Bundyrumandcoke.

A long weekend caching trip to Gladstone had been planned with 1MinnieMoo, Pprime and Fangsoki and a list of target caches had been prepared.
Our first attempt for this was blocked by road works at the level crossing and we were thinking of giving it a miss but we found an alternate route that took us up hill and down dale and we pulled up close to the cache for a quick find.

Was distracted at first thinking "How am I mean't to sign this??", then I searched a bit more =)
I headed out to find this one this morning and followed the well graded dirt road to close to GZ where I parked the car on an elevated spot. A short walk and there it was waiting for me to sign the log. The guardian lays in a lovely quiet place. All good with this cache. TFTC
After being introduced to caching this was my first official cache. After being stared at by some confused local, found the cache and took in the views before signing the log.
I think I scared off a fellow cacher!!! Followed a red Pajero/jackaroo up here... we stopped at about the same place... he drove off, I made the log
Day 3 of our road trip to QOGM in Blackall. Today we are caching in the Gladstone area and surrounds. The steep climb up the access road was worth the view once at GZ. Many thanks BRC.
It took much longer driving to get to cache GZ, than it was to find it. Like caches like these out in the bush land. TFTC
On my way to QOGM2019 in Blackall and detoured via this one. GPSr took me in the right direction and was soon at the top of the hill. Met by the guardian. Signed log and replaced where and how found. TFTC Bundyrumandcoke
Decided to take the back roads to Gladstone after a day at Tannum Sands.

We came across your cache, Bundyrumandcoke, on our way caching towards this year's QOGM in Barcaldine.
Drove up the steep gravel road then saw the view. Nice. Then found a cache. And I thought I was the only grumpy old man around here!
Collected the TB to go west.
Log signed and cache replaced at 11:36 AM on September 16, 2018. TFTC.

The road has been partly bituminised which is great. Cache in good condition TFTC
I think, grumpy old bar stools are the best sort. So today I went to look for this one. I soon found it, admired he views and left a travel bug. This cache completes my 366 day streak, so I can have a break tomorrow! But will I, given I’m on holidays? I don’t know but it’s nice to have the option! TFTC Bundyrumandcoke
Worth it just for the drive and the view dropped a Geo coin thanks for the cache
