Found it !
Went with KCSearcher, Teslawire, and Virgojams to the Community Celebration Event at Lake Del Valle to celebrate Dragon Head's 21st birthday (a year 2000 cache). Ended up with 15 finds on the day. Fun, successful caching day. This year 2000 cache was the goal for the day. My 4th 2000 cache, and my 3rd oldest cache, beating out nearby Survival Cache by one day. Unfortunatley not the original logbook, but still great condition for this oldie. Someone had put a card inside, but I think they put 32° instead of 37° for the coords on it. Nice hike up to this cache, not too far. I think I was able to figure out what the Dragon's head was, but not certain. Gets a fav from me!

So great to have the opportunity of today's Community Celebration Event to find this oldie with many other cachers! Got to see rragan's 12000th find too! Fun times for sure!
Toycruiser, MsAAH and I were working our way from our meeting place in Dixon to the event by the parking lot. We chose a handful of puzzles, highly favorited caches or caches needed for a challenge to grab on the way there. Including lab stops, we had a list of 142 stops and planned to take 16 hours driving around. Managed to find 140 (that was my final number--MsAAH and toycruiser already had some of the caches along the way but still ended up with totals that would have beaten my previous single day record) and got back in 18 hours. This cache totally fit the "highly favorited" category. Though we were also looking for old caches today. Ended up with 2 December 2000 caches today. Thanks for the hide.
Out caching in the area with MsAAH and pod227. We targeted the Adventure Labs, a few oldies, a handful of puzzles and a few other caches along our way. We had lots of fun and laughs today! This was one of our target caches today. Happy Birthday Dragon Head! Thanks Gary for the fun cache and for being part of our adventure!
