Another cache of mine which has done its time and allow a new cache in the area . Upon arriving onsite and seeing a school bus shelter next to cache site i feel it would only be time before it was muggled and lost. Thanks to all who visited the cache
travelling from Picton to West Coast with Ariestiger + nephew Ben. it was already dark when we got here and we couldnt quite read the headstone maybe next time I am through this way
Logbook damp, so placed some new sheets in a new bag. Hope this will do the job for the next cachers...
Not sure we got the co-ord right, bit hard to read the headstone. Found cache with aid of clue. SL TFTC
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
Ooops! Not a nice way to go. Had a bit of trouble with the maths but Taybee Jnr had it sorted & found in no time. TFTC

A nice wee multi with some interesting history. The log book is very wet. TFTC. Cheers Bo
Once we managed the clues was no problem.Container was wet so dried as well as poss.nice stop for lunch.TFTC.
Nice to have a cache within walking distance of our holiday stay with parents. Always interesting to read gravestones and wonder about their lives. Surprising number of muggles - the church is a signposted toilet stop!
Drove through to Nelson in the evening from Christchurch and came this way. At the WP put the 2 minutes noddles in a sealed container with the hot water from the thermos and the cache site stopped to eat. Found the cache no problem, upon arrived at close to GZ looked about and spotted somewhere I'd hide a cache so had a look and there was the cache, the GPS never left the car.

No problems finding the required numbers… No luck finding the cache… Is it still there?

We also found the GPS pointing us into an obviously incorrect place. So rechecked our calculations and still couldn't find an error. Read all the logs at that stage - tried to look for a place following the clue but nothing in the most obvious (to us) place or less obvious places. After another vehicle pulled up and the occupants were clearly suspiicious we called it quits. Interesting story though.
Decided to take the alternative route from Blenheim to Nelson today, Andre really enjoyed two stops for snow play. I've never seen so much snow in the region but hey, I'm no local. My 2nd go at this cache, the first time I was missing some info. cache is in good condition. Cheers, no swaps.
Final co-ords had us about 10m closer to the main road so we used the clue and widened the search area. Found it after a few minutes - nice shiny new log book now has us on the front page. Nice bit of history - thanks and TFTC.
Ended up in the car park to start with. Not sure why his birth date is relevant in the questions unless it's to give me a headache! Still, nice wee stop, thank you.
Not sure what I did on Friday, but was able to solve it and find it pretty easily today. Cheers Gav [1811]
Nice hide with small amount of working out required log book damp and going moldy TFTC
Pulled this one off relatively easily. The logbook was damp and has started going a tad mouldy in places. Nice place to stop and stretch the legs on a warm winters day. TNLN Cheers!
A nice wee multi - we had to recheck our work as our first calculations put us in the middle of SH63

Lovely stop off on the route from Picton to Lake Rotoiti. TFTC TNLN. A few too many numbers but enjoyable all the same!
Nice little puzzle, completed with the accompaniment of an Easter service nearby. TFTC
Had a bit of trouble because my PDA had a slight problem with some weird characters in the question area but managed to work my way through it and complete the mission in the end.
Like many others, had trouble finding the necessary information for this cache. So many questions about his birth dates.... At this waypoint there is only information association with his death!!!!
If I was to use his age, and subtract it from his death date, then I could come up with a year.... but then if his death month was less than the 9th month, then I could take a year earlier!! Dah! Either / either
So like many before me I substituted "Date of Death" for "Date of Birth" and came up with a possible location. Approached it and realised I was not far out.
All I had to do then was look for a cacher's protection. Aha! Cache in hand.
Many thanks for the thinking outside the square, but I think the puzzle should be revisited by the owner.
Left the usual visiting card. Thanks for the fun!
30 Jan - update - thanks for updating the puzzle after this. Enough information can now be gleaned to work out the birth year digits required. Great cache!

Was in a hurry for this one so read the clue, looked in a likely location and found it straight away. Took Diabetes TB.
Nice One!!!!!!!! Great day caching in the Blenheim, Renwick and Wairau Valley area. No problem with the questions or finding the cache. Very interesting place for a history lesson. + Rattle - Minidoll Thanks
1328. There seems to be some discrepancy between the use of the birth and death years but we got near enough to be able to find the cache.
Thanks

FTF!!
Well I downloaded the "loc" from geocaching.com on the first day this was posted, so guess what?? Yes, I ended up in the middle of the river!! LOL. Then got the new print out and worked out it was different to the "loc" file. Quick trip in the car and we were there. Worked through the clues and got an answer that was 12km down the road and thought I must have done something wrong. Read the clue and went for a walk, was thinking where would I hide this one if I was doing it, and there it was. Excellent hiding place.
When I got home I went back through my workings with the clues. Question "A" asks the cacher to "divide the first by the second number in his age". If you divide a number by itself you get 1, and I think the answer is meant to be 3?
Thanks for the cache ..... great fun, kept me busy.
