Did not find. Im not super observant though. Maybe just not as easy to find as everyone else is saying.
Lovely view, snapped a photo before leaving. This stop was quite busy today with people I assume trying to avoid the SH1 closure on the other side of the lake. I think the truck driver also using the stop was a little concerned as to what I was doing but signed and replaced without arousing too much suspicion. Cache description does need replacing as what I found and signed definitely wasn't a 500ml container.
Mind your feet even though the cover around the cache has been cleared there may be some dirty people leaving their "dna" behind
Time for a bikkie so great place to stop. Lots of cars speeding past today. TFTC
We were running early to arrive at our accommodation so had time to stop and grab a few caches on our way into town. This was an easy find, thanks
After visiting family up north, Nanna and I are heading south again. This was the first of a couple of planned caches to break up the journey. A great view here, definitely made the pull in worthwhile. Cache found and replaced just before another vehicle pulled in - whew. All good here, thanks for putting one here to break our journey- much appreciated.
Beautiful view, and cellphone reception Had a replacement cache (double pill bottle), although no techno kitten camo A motorbike, campervan and car arrived soon after, wow busy spotThanks
I've been spending most of my Xmas and New Years break in Auckland and Northland, but all good things must come to an end and today I have the big drive back south again. Naturally, I tend to try to break my big drives up with a few geo-stops along the way, and this was one of those. I seem to have a knack of finding the weirdest stuff whilst geocaching between Auckland and Wellington. Last year I found a machine gun ammo clip (complete with bullets) and this year I found a Fleshlight (yuk!) Thank heavens I had gloves on due to the blackberry. I did continue to search for a bit, but this area was littered with toilet paper etc so retreated back to the car.
I'm back in New Zealand for the first time in four and a half years to visit family and catch up with friends. Have been down in the manawatu for the past few days to do a few things but its time to head north again, but there's time for a couple of caches as i drive north. Having to take the Western route around lake taupo as state highway 1 is closed south of tokoroa. I haven't driven this road before so I'm happy for the new route. A quick find here and I dropped a trackable that I picked up in Europe. Tftc

After walking to sum huts on Ruapehu, time to drive home. Stopped here tio admire the view and find a cache. Thanks for hiding. I have removed the soaked logs. Left a piece of waterproof paper resting on some rocks, hopefully lifted above the next flood
A super quick P&G and chance for a drink.
Log book is very wet and unsignable sadly.

I have driven past this lookout many, many times and never taken the opportunity to stop and look out over the lake.
Today was the day for a stop and so also looked to see if a cache may be nearby.
Great spot to stop and find something.
Thank you!

I heading north to Rotorua for Christmas, an two whole day journey. As I was approaching here I had a motor bike right up my bum so had to slow more gently than usual, so I missed the turn in. So yeah, Lookout for bikes!!
I have done the circum-navi-cycle of Taupo in my younger days. It was quite a mission, but I enjoyed it. Maybe I should do it again...

What a view on a lovely sunny day after yesterdays downpours. Hint and gps were spot on. Cache is in good order and had been found by accident (as per log sheet) on 5/12/22. TFTC.
Awesome scenic lookout. Ti toed to the gz. For a quick find. Replaced log sheet and bag. Ty ftc
I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day one, heading from home to the bustling metropolis of Huntly.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
A quick stop and a quick find. Log sheet soaking so only took photo. Didn't want to hang around as someone's used the area as a toilet

Having dropped daughter of at Auckland airport it was time to head south to Wellington. A few points of interest stops on the way and this was one of them. No problems with the find but container full of water and log ripping on attempting to remove from its water filled bag. thanks for the cache.
Enjoyed watching the view while we waited for a muggle to leave. Finally got it. Thanks.
Stopped here not far behind another car. Wasn't sure whether to get out and look or wait the other car out. Decided in the end to go out and look and then the driver in the other car came out before I got to GZ and asked if I was a cacher - turns out this was mineemo, and although not caching today on her way to a wedding , she came on the hunt with me. Using my phone here and GZ was quite some way away. Found thanks to the hint though - thanks for placing!
Found but after in container and log very soggy so couldn’t write in it. Great view
Tftc, nice easy find and a great place to stop and enjoy the scenery. Today its some cute little lambs. Log book is quite full
Making my way to Rotorua for a few days and made an early morning stop here. All quiet today and cache was soon found. TFTC
Starting a road trip from AKL -> Wanaka. Nice little view point and found easily heading into Kuratau for the night. Tftc!
Lots of muggles here having lunch. Can't believe they leave all their car doors wide open making it interesting parking. Fortunately one of the cars had parked in front of the rocks making it easy to sign and replace. Great views of the lake from here. Took a great pic from rocks with trees as a framework, TY
We are on a whirlwind tour of the lower North Island in pursuit of the PWGT caches. We are delighted to say that we finished section rua last night and today we need to get back to Wellington ready to cross on the ferry.
We decided to come and do one in the tahi series as that put us on the other side of the lake, a road neither of us had driven down before. We will have to plan another trip to finish the tahi section of the tour, maybe we will tie it in with the mega that will hopefully happen later in the year.
This was a nice quick stop with magnificent views. Unfortunately people have been using the area of gz as a toilet
gk went to find the cache and luckily it was in the first place he looked.
thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Today I'm driving from Paraparaumu Beach to Hamilton en route to Auckland for work and leisure. I had time to find a few caches along the way. Found it once I looked at the correct hint objects. TFTC, Biggles.
From Pretoria South Africa.

#19496. Nice views of Lake Taupo in the distance (but less nice views of what looked like toilet paper near GZ). Found after a short search. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we travelled from Palmerston North to Hamilton.
All quiet when we stopped and so we had the area to ourselves while we searched. Not an instant find as there was a lot of suspicious looking paper around, so more a case of lookout for toilet paper . I let SW look for this one . TFTC.

We traveled down to National Park today and picked up 22 caches - what fun! Some easy ones, some harder and 2 DNF's . It was amusing to note that my brother (tbird53) picked this one up last month. He introduced me to geocaching, so once again I am following in his footsteps by picking this cache up! TFTC
A nice quick find today. Stopping (and turning right) was aided by my cars dislike for hills which it can do at a whole 70kms. Tftc
opened the app just as we were passing the rest stop and found this cache so did a quick uie and came back for it
One of eight located on our drive home from Morrinsville to Wellington today. We were able to travel at a more leisurely pace on our return trip than on our way up, thus having more time to pick up a few caches along the way. A reasonably quick find despite muggles sitting at the nearby table. #3592. TFTC.
A muggle was parked nearby and showing no sign of leaving. They appeared to be taking a nap so didn’t pose a threat but just in case we parked the car so GZ was blocked from their view.
It looks like someone has recently used this area as a toilet but fortunately not where the cache is hidden.
A nice quick find. TFTC.

Stopped at the rest area for a late lunch and started looking after the muggles had left. Wasn't where the phone indicated but widened the search and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
Lovely view. Light replace with a dry on in a bag. Just added some replacement logs to my caching bag today so came in handy. TFTC
Quick stop on our way to Turangi from Mangakino . Found cache quickly but log book is very wet managed to get our name on a piece of waterproof paper that is full.
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #891.
Nice little quick stop and grab. Can't believe how many people are using the bush as a toilet. Disgusting.
After a couple of days in Turangi, I headed home today taking the west route to go after some caches over here.
This was a quick stop to pick up one more. The log is full. TFTC.

Volgende keer gaan we weer verder.

Day 13 of our NZ trip. Heading out to explore the Taupo Lake area. Hadn't planned to go all around the lake, so we didn't load any caches for this side. Stopped at this turnout to take in the view, and the next thing I hear is hubby saying he'd found a cache. It was pretty wet, but someone had stocked it with a piece of writ-in-the-rain. I took a waypoint on site, then found the cache online once we got back to the motel wifi. Greetings from
Never been out here before. A great spot. Love the view. While signing cache spot a couple young cats which may have been dump. They weren't to timid but enough you weren't going to get close without food. Hate it when people do that. Tftc
On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day one driving from Hamilton to Wellington. Thank you for the cache
Pretty easy find and with an impressive view accros the lake. Logbook very wet though.thanks for the cache
Thanks to a coincidence of various events I was in the area on a spacesaver, but that has not stopped me before, so I went on to find a few on the way back to my accommodation, and I mean on the way in geocaching terms No bikes around, actually no one around! TFTC!!
Find number 4616. Decided to spend a couple of days in the Turangi area and attend 2 events being held in the area. After leaving at 7 am and a quick stop in Cambridge to grab a FTF I stopped here for a break. Cache quickly located and I was back at the car when a car pulled in and parked next to me. So pleased to have found so quickly. Thank you for the placement.
I kept a lookout for bikes and I did see 2 pass as I was having a drink. (On top of a car)

Heading down for a work callout in Turangi, I thought I'd head along Western Lakes for a bit of a change of scenery, thinking that late afternoon/evening could be a good time to try grab a couple of caches. All fine here too. Now I better get to this site, can't really charge them for caching time! Unfortunately the log was wet and I didn't have time to dry, however I've removed the excess water
TFTC Technokitten, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 6 find(s) of 7 today, making this find #1914

A nice quick find where we expected it to be, the log book was wet so we signed the extra log sheet left by a previous finder. We almost had the rest area to ourselves this afternoon. Great views from here and a good place to stop for lunch. TFTC!
Nice to be off the busy main highway. This road brings back memories of cycling! Quick easy find. TFTC
Found easily during quick stop on our way to Taumaranui for vintage airplane fun.
Pencil/pen missing, logbook is wet inside systema container. Unable to spend time to dry out...no spare pencils to leave behind. Nothing taken. Nothing left.
