Logs
Any day I get to appreciate a spectacular phutukawa and look at a beautiful view is a good day. TFTC
Came out tonight to enjoy the weather. Meet the cachs Guardian when I got to GZ. She got 8 legs and yellow dots on her back and about 4cm across. After giving my respects she let me sign the log. Thanks for placing this cach Zork V.
Third geocache found in New Zealand. We signed the log K $and GG to GA. We are from Virginia USA.
Refused to combat the spiders for this one so sent DD in to do the job. Found it easy enough. Its a bit damp but log ok and pencil still worked. TFTC
Rustynz says I have to climb the hill yo get this one, so that is what we did. Thought it would be higher, but hobbit hole we found. Fun find, thanks
Climbed up the hill with rebel98, to find the cache, but also look at the view.I went low, and there was the cache. Happy to be signing the log, thanks for the hide and the adventure the views are amazing
Day 11: North Shore and the CityToday was the day I claimed by 8000th milestone, and what better way to do it than with an elaborate gadget cache to cap it off. We headed off early today to get up to Castor Bay, and it still took almost an hour in the traffic. After that, I went down to Takapuna, while the family headed off for their own things. After that, it was a ferry ride from Devonport into the city to meet up with the wife for the train ride home. A very nice slate of caches again today, I continue to be impressed with what you Auckland cachers come up with in tricky urban environments. Thanks for the inspirations and for keeping the game as fun as it is! (End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:Second one in the park while doing the AL. This one was not too much of a challenge other than fighting off the branches at the entrance to the GZ. All the usual in a dedicated cachers day, this is. Easily found once within the realm of the host. TFTC!
Finally found the cache after reading previous logs to find out which way to go.
All safe and dry.
Thanks for the placement and bringing us to this fascinating area.

The Adlab has a waypoint here, so we stopped for this trad as well. Picked up the TB to take home.

The GPS was bouncing around a bit so kiwitrecker1 broke right and I went leftI crashed through and came up with nothing, kiwitrecker1 on the other hand was able to happily call “got it!”. Log signed and on our scenic journey we went. TFTC!
tftc easy find sl and replaced Up here from southland for Christmas so was good to find a couple of caches during the holiday!
M24: nice place this is! A nice easy cache to find as well, and it's big enough to leave a trackable, which I have done so.
Log is signed, which is in great condition, given how old it is, all is good here. TFTC.

Came down to the point to do the last AL point as well as check out the view.
Grabbed this one while nearby.
Shockingly good state of the container and logs.
Thanks!

A nice quick find. One of the older ones this trip. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a good day, I cruised around and about the North Shore, there is so much to see here! The weather was pretty good, and I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Pen didn’t work, but FTF with the new log - log was smaller than we expected? It’s meant to have a trackable but we didn’t see one nor could it fit one. Good view tho
Out in this neck of the woods with Vistra. Doing the Ad Lab in the park and grabbing a few trads too. Tftc
Doing the AL and grab on way back. What a cool area to come too. Love WW2 history. Cache in good condition. Tftc.
This took a lot longer than I wanted since I was barking up the ring tree, found it quickly once moving away from my first instincts. TFTC
Still walking along the North Shore coastal walkway, finding some caches along the way (this was the 3rd one for the day, at 11:14). I think I had seen it before in a GeoRick video? I had to check a few places before realising what the hint meant, and then I found it in a perfect hiding spot. All good here, completely dry, and I dropped in a geocoin to help it on its way.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
This is a great area. My kids we left alone with the near by tree, pretending it was a horse. I ducked off to find this cache. Tftc
Needed to get out of the house with the geo-kids today so decided to head over this way for some caches, the adventure lab and some fun.
Bumped my head but was worth it for a quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
What a great walk along the top from Kennedy park. Spotted an ideal hiding place and there it was, tucked away.
Another local one knocked off our list while getting our steps in. Great hidey-hole. TFTC
Arrived at the 'far end' of this walkway and enjoyed the view before turning round to head back. First though, this cache. GPS had me in circles for a while with a few tall options having potential before one in particular offered itself, and there was the cache, nice one Zork V.
A trip out 'anywhere' was the trick for Saturday morning, with a few gardening and section duties eating up the remainder of the day. We headed initially to Campbells Bay but the tide wasn't that favorable so changed to Castor Bay, and the places of interest up there. Did the Ad Lab places as well as the Trads on offer up there and were back home for midday so not a big one, thanks to the COs for their caches.
In line with the NZ Geocache Reviewers guidance on what Covid Level 3, Part 1 looks like, geocaching IS permitted, but there are not to be any events or any new listings. It seems the NZ Covid website has failed to maintain pace with Lockdown level amendments and changes and is still lumping Geocaching in with Orienteering and other gathering type activities. Link from Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/NZGeocachingReviewers/ for further details.
Update - Level 3.2 due to be applied in Auckland region at 2359 09 Nov 21 will be allowing new listings to be published, still no Events though.

Found it. Yay . We're almost ready to give up but mum went and had one more look and what do you know geocache in hand. TFTC. We also found a travel bug and already have an idea where to travel to. TFTC

Took a lot longer than ot should've because my phones gps kept bumping me around! Once I figured out where the cache was it was an easy find! TFTC!
Live in the area and had been waiting for the right time to grab. Being unemployed and available midweek was perfect
Much easier to find my way out than in!! Followed GPS and cache was soon in hand. SL TNLN TFTC Cache find number 1800!!
Clever spot amongst the trees, just off the walkway. I made sure to enjoy the view after.
Found the correct one in the end. Perfect spot. What a view. The Waitemata was looking stunning today. Tftc

Thank you
Pleased to find a cache big enough to hold trackable Z6Q21X, which I've been carrying around for a while! TFTC
We love finding these older and decent sized caches, especially in such great condition.
While we made the find we were entertained by a Tui frantically flying around chasing a moth. Fortunately the moth managed to escape.
Great hiding spot in a beautiful location. Thanks ZorkV.

Nice location to take a break from everyday life, enjoying the beach and the sea and the view and of course this nicely hidden little cache. Didn't find any TB in it though. TFTC
Found together with Pyphant and Greenkiwikids on an beautiful sunny day. Grabbed on our way to explore Castor bay. Nice and easy find. Signed as team Piraten. TFTC

Taking a walk along here today and collecting the caches too. When we arrived at the gz we noticed something amazing and decided thats were the cache must be.Log signed and cache replaced.
Quick find just as it started raining. My firs time up this area and wishing I explored it more often. Tftc
Dropped a TB we picked up at Geowoodstock in Cincinnati. It was North America's first GIGA event.
My wife wanred to visit a special shop a little bit south of here. As give back I could visit this cache. I found the box relatively quick, dropped some trackables and picked one up.

Out geocaching the North Shore with my son this afternoon and I have always had this on my to do list and never quite made it here. Great views on such a beautiful day, thanks for bringing us up here today. Quick find for us here today. Thanks again.
Finally! Today seems to be the day for rectifying past failures. With our new GPS, Miss One and I made short work of this one today - thanks!
My caching buddy and I are in town for a caching weekend with her girls. We picked these East Coast Bays as our target area because we knew we'd get some beautiful views. A quick puff up the hill and we were at gz. Checked out the Pa and got a great view of Rangitoto. There were a few possible hiding places but a fairly quick find, thanks
A beautiful day to do some of the North Shore coastal walk and discovering this area. Thanks
Last find on our walk before heading home for lunch. Once you find the cache. Make sure to head on a bit further and check out the amazing viewing platform.
I decided to continue walking parts of the Te Araroa North Shore Coastal Walkway and of course collect some caches on the way. This was a quick and easy find. TFTC!
Very nice spot and great find for Quinn. Lovely end to a lovely evening. Cheers
Being spoilt for choice near the GZ, I managed to search all the wrong places first. No matter, the cache was eventually found and logged. TFTC
I spotted the new log out of the cache on the ground just in front of the hiding lace of the cache. Since the other log book was full, I signed the new one and put everything back in the container. TFTC.
Hideeho thanks for the cache:) Greetings from the USA on day three exploring the coast for cache in Auckland. If your caching partner suggest to go bushwacking straight up the hill behind the restrooms, do not do it. There is a perfectly good paved trail.
Out for a dog walk on sunny day. Dragged up the hill slowly before rummaging around to find this one. TFTC.
I was puffing a bit after the walk up the hill but the views are great and with 4 sets of eyes a nice quick find was made here
Out with Merlot58 and Jag50 to walk from Campbells Bay to Devonport. Huffed up the hill and by the time I had managed to untangle myself from the vines, Mrs Jag50 had the cache in hand.
A short drag up the hill and also admire the view. Decided not to take what could have been a very short cut back to the beach.
I went back to this one that I had found some time ago just to pick up the trackable therein. Which is the "7 Deadly Ducks" We will move it on shortly.
