Logs

We have decided to archive this cache as even though it is quite a walk from the parking area it is constantly being lost. We have a new spot in the area made especially for a new devious cache and have a cache ready to drop into it next time we are past. Stay tuned!

Dropped in on our return trip from the Social BBQ event - yet again this cache has gone MIA. I cant believe it, its well away from the parking area and everything. Unfortunately after much hunting through the caravan we didnt have all the items needed to replace so we decided to take a reading for a different spot and place it there on our next time through.

Watch out for the new co-ords to be posted soon when approved.

Been here together with Lyra 7. Searching for half an hour. Found nothing. What a pity!

Nice and beautiful area, but.... we didnt find it [:-(]
we looked in the obvious spot, and in a lot of other not-so-obvious spots 15-20 m around. Has it been muggled again???
Nice time trying though, "zo zie je nog eens iets".

Replaced yet again - cache is full of Pathtags this time! Please replace carefully.

Cheers

Seems like this one has been nabbed yet again - I only replaced it a month back too!! ekk...

I will be going past again mid December and will replace it yet again. Maybe a case of third (or fourth) time lucky with it staying there. Wishing I had stopped when I came past on Sunday now as I had a spare in the caravan.

Really spent some time on this one. I have a feeling it may have gone walkabout. There was an array of sticks at GZ which was either a red herring or an indicator that the cache had been taken. Will stop again next trip to have another look.

Unfortunately extremely bad weather two weeks ago stopped us from being able to check upon our cache. It seems like it has gone MIA yet again and will be replaced on Friday October 11 as we pass-by on our trip down to Perth

Wind was blowing a gale from SW on way back to Perth area. Decided to take 5 to revive. Nice walk, good search, no result. Grid searched area up and down stream with all the kids and friends, lots of spots, no cache.
Thanks for the revival anyway.

Coming from the west trying to escape the rain. Still got caught as we headed for the cache from the car park. Searched up and down and had to admit defeat. At least it seems it was not just us! Thanks anyway.

08-Sep-08
Black Swans dropped in on the way home from Kalbarri...also did not find. Several good hiding spots within a few metres of GZ on our GPS.

We also suspect it might have been muggled.

Great spot for a break, a wee, and a walk in the woods though. Heaps of orchids about!

I think this one has been Muggled all we found at the co-ords was a blue & white golf ball, seemed like a good spot for a hide.

Stopped here on a nice day for lunch and a break.

Found the cache this time, Was missing the last time we tried.

We hit the cache first thing and a good thing we did as lots of people had the same idea of having their lunch here.

Took; little wooden train
Left; Phone sock

Thanks for the nice cache!
Many greetings from Yodah (Germany)

Heavy rain today, so I went hunting armed with only a Gps, RedRoo sticker and a biro. The cache was uncovered-probably due to the heavy wind and rain in the area, though still in good condition. TN-LN-SL. Thanks to Ian and Sue for the cache. No TB's were noticed in the cache, but I was doing things very quickly.

Quick stop and find and dropoff. Amazing size to these Zamias!!

WanderingAus wandered by on day one of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia. We stopped here for afternoon tea then I made a quick find.

Six and a half months ago it was a DNF because it was muggled. I found the right spot then, and it would have been Find No 271, instead it is Find No 514.

LCC, TNLNSL, Dropped Leaping Lizard TB and my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

Found this on the way back from Perth. Never stopped here before but will in future now we know it has a thunderbox. The missus jumped at the opportunity for a number 1 in comfort. That alone turned this 2 into a 3.

Was not sure if cache was going to be in one piece as it looked like a fire had been through recently. However our grandson (who is really getting into these searches) found it pretty quick and all was ok. Took Yoyo and heart shaped key ring. Left souveneir spoon and toy. TFTH

We always stop here for a break on our way to Kalbarri but we have never had a reason to venture so far into the bush before. It was getting a little dark when we arrived but found the cache without drama. Left Mrs Happyharry's Microcoin. NSTFTC.

Replaced missing cache. All ready to find again!!!

20-Oct-07
Searched for 30 minutes yesterday, then camped for the night. Came back today and did a thorough search in a 15 metre radius. As I am the fifth in a row to not find, I think it's safe to say it's been muggled.

Appologies all who havent found it. I meant to disable but was sure I was going to be able to stop and fix on my way home from Perth last week. It was late at night and pouring with rain when I eventually made it through - thought about stopping, thought about getting soaked and then kept driving!!!

I will be down next week and will replace the cache then.

Happy geocaching all

08-Oct-07
Same as the last couple folks, had a good search around but may been muggled.

02-Oct-07
Had a good look around for it with our friends, but although there were a couple of likely spots, we couldn't find a cache anywhere.

24-Sep-07
Well, after searching the hole ground, I started climbing, as there was another hole in the tree to look in. And I also fount something: a nest from a duck family with 3 babys inside. So I stopped searching and left the spot. I hope their mother comes back...

22-Sep-07
I thought we should have been able to find this one easily, but the logical hollow base of the tree and hollow nearby stump were empty. I fear this one may have been animal muggled judging by the tracks nearby.

Took 5 and I'm still alive!

Found on our way back from stockyard gully after camping and hiking the weekend. nice spot that I have never been to but would recommend a look.
Thanks

02-Sep-07
Found it in company with some fellow members of the Perth Bushwalkers Club and geocachers. We called in on our return to Perth from our weekend 36 km backpack. We camped Friday night at Lake Indoon and then backpacked into Stockyard Gully for Saturday night.

A great place to stop for a stretch. Thanks for the hunt. TNLNSL.

Found this in the company of Aushiker, Team GunnParker and Call Me Sir. A nice little rest stop on our way back to Perth after a weekend of backpacking through soft sand and removing ticks.

Yep.!! A great spot to stop and rest, and its really good that the cache is decent little stroll away, very refreshed when hitting the road again.

When we got to within about 15m of GZ I could see the open and empty cache container..oh no! Its been muggled we thought. No sign of the log at first, but found a Koala and other bits and pieces close by. We widened our search and found the log book about 20m away, still in its bag but with a big hole gnawed thru it. Was it the Koala in a frantic bid to escape? We had a spare ziplock bag to repack the logbook, and we placed the cache in what we thought was the obvious spot (will email the owner to confirm) also tried to make it a bit more secure in its hidey hole as it looks as though animal muggles have been at work previously according to other logs.

The rain came down very heavy just as we left the truck. We found the cache okay, walking back the track became a stream.

16-Jul-07
On the way home after the weekend in Jurien and planning on 5 on the trip home... Found the cache open and exposed but it looked as though an animal had disturbed it as all the contents seemed to be there and ok. Took small ornament and left a flower bracelet.
