Logs
I visited the cache site and unfortunately the bush that surrounded it has been removed making the hidey hole very exposed. Therefore I have decided to archive this cache. Had a go at retrieving cache but gave up. Nearly 150 finds in a couple of years wasn't a bad effort!
we were visiting Christchurch from Canada and found the cache. We also couldnt get it out, but enjoyed the walk and the contemplation. TFTH
I guess the cache has disappeared into the resesses of its hiding place. If you want to log it you need to retrieve it somehow... Be inventive. Otherwise a pic of yourself with a nearby Buddha would surfice. I won't be about for a few weeks but will fix then.
Found by the Chefs Team as part of our latest NZ trip. However we were unable to sign the log as the cache is stuck firmly in its hidey hole.

Great hiding place, it is a shame this has been archived. I wandered over the road to take a look at Buddha, the moat around the building is quite special. GC stretched to get this one, a bit out of reach for me. Late logging this one. thanks for the cache.
Yes, we did contemplate Budda after finding the cache. We are visiting from Tennessee, USA. TFTC!!!
16:29 A bit of a stretch to find this. Used to stop in this park a lot when I was at varsity a couple of decades ago and lived in the groundkeepers house in Hagley Park. The pub looks a bit more upmarket now too... Cheers, SL.
An easy find, but awkward to extract from what appears to be a quite exposed (to muggles) position. After spending several minutes in the extraction process, we took the cache 'home' to pickup our find stickers before returning the cache to it's hiding place. Thanks to Mordor&Andre for the cache.
B-Team find while out for a short walk to recharge the batteries following the end of my conference. Located the cache, grabbed the GC, but need to spend some extra contemplation time at the site while waiting for some folks to move away from the cache site. Good Luck!
Quick easy find on a dreary day. Cache was wedged in tight, but finally managed to prise out and sign. Didn't even lnow there were Buddhas nearby ! TFTC !
A quick find during a short walk from my motel while staying overnight in Christchurch. A very pleasant little spot which I have walked past often in the past TNLN, signed log. TFTC!
2nd find on our walk today. A little hard to get the cache out but succeeded in the end. TFTC.
The Buddha's were a bit hard to spot with the sun directly behind them.
Easy find. Many thanks

Found easily but couldn't reach & at 5' 2" I'm no midget! Needed help. Muggles could be a problem during work hours
Wanted to drop of the Buddha TB we had close to some 'friends' but he would not fit in this cache!
So TNLN TFTC

Found on the second try. Yesterday was full of muggles and there was no chance. Greetings from Spain and thanks for this time of contemplation. No trade.

Took me longer than it should have for this one. Walked in lots of circles but eventually got it! TFTC
Good hidey hole. TNLN. Architect did fine job with the front of the temple. Cheers.
We didn't understand the significance of the cache title until we were driving away, then it all made sense. TFTC.
My first find in the city. Nice break from the inn. Enjoyed the short walk to this location. TFTC

my gps took me to every tree then finally the right one...great wee treat to find didnt see coin in it though
As I arrived by bike, I noticed a tree with an outgrowth that looked somewhat Buddha-like, but my trusty Garmin led me off in a different direction. R-e-a-c-h-e-d for it, sat down on the bench and saw the real Buddha.

Enjoyed the serene park! I felt like a pirate for a brief moment. One Fang took me there while I was in NZ.
Couldn't find Buddha until I looked in the right direction. Clever hide. Took micro TB SL. TFTC
Adee found this quite quickly. Strange camo for a tree.

Guess I must be a midget then! TreMichLan had to reach up and get this one. I managed to put it back with the aid of a tree root though. Lovely spot. Nice addition since I last lived in the area
Nice little hide! The jar was wedged in quite firmly but after a brief wrestle, it came free.
Many thanks!
Many thanks!
a convenient seat nearby to log find and as I had a early start muggles weren't a problem
Dropped Tiki's 2 & 4 off at the local mall for a bit of shopping, while Tiki's 1 & 3 went hunting nearby caches - this was the first for the afternoon. A nice hide in a lovely spot amidst the bustle of Riccarton. TFTC.
Found on an evening cycle ride in the area. Coordinates good, so an easy find. SL. TFTC.
Also logging in and out our England Geocoin.

It would be silly to drive into town this close to Christmas to find a cache, so we caught the Orbiter bus to Borders, then walked down to find the cache. Mrs nzcarey protests that, whatever the cache description says, she’s not a midget.
Found by Sunshine Toledo from OZ at 4:50pm. It took me 2 looks to find this cache and it is a great one; similar to one I have. TNLNSL TFTC
Replaced cache with a more psycodalic one. A wee bit bigger so might not fall down so far. Thanks for the great logs...
Found by Mrs B who found herself very challenged ... and resorted to assistance from Mr B (trying not to give away any clues here!) Great to do a Mordor&Andre cache given they have done so many of ours back in Nelson
My favourite cache so far. Well devised and designed. I must have looked like a dork trying to get this one. it took me a while as I needed smaller hands!
Looked like i was trying to have my wicked way with it, as i couldn't grab cache without wrapping my leg around it for grip!
lotsa muggles around but they were all too busy to worry about a dodgy-looking joker in running gear.

Took me a minute to find the buddahs interesting hide that had hubby Stretch0 on tippy toes doing the hard work - signed log replaced plastic bag round log ( log was dry but inside of bag was newly wet) thanks for the cache
Took a little while not sure if it was me or the gps getting dizzy lol. Took longer to recover the cache from its hide. Dried out cache best we could but might need to be checked soon!
Nice One!!!!!!!!A lot of deception required on a very busy Friday afternoon. Container was wet, slippery and very difficult to get out its hiding place. For other cachers, a bit of advice...Be tall. Great idea in a special location. Thanks
Didn't get a chance to visit this cache on last trip to ChCh will replace in 4 weeks!
Second cache of our night adventure. Just had to find this one so I could make it to 150 caches! Yay!
Cache had some water inside, log was OK though.
TNLNSL
Cheers,
Blarghster.

Nice wee hide, a sneaky acquisition. Hopefully all the muggles were facing the other way. After all that rain, still dry. Discovered with a new recruit. Hoping to pass on the Geocaching bug! Thanks!
Very cunning. Nice spot - some stealth required. Very very wet, so had to dispose of bag and log. Dried it out and left new log and bag - no writing implement so bring your own. Thanks for the cache.
The cache will be replaced on 30 September! If you feel the need to find it before then just leave your name on a bit of paper. Cheers.
Found this cache after a short search, this cache is a bit munted, it was very wet and I couldn't fill in the log, it would be cool if this cache was changed for a new one because it's a top hiding place, Thanks.
Found after an inch of rain. Very hard to remove. Had to use a hooked implement. Wet but OK,although pencil was unusable. Great spot. Didn't know it existed and I've been past a thousand times. Thankyou.
[Found this one after sharing a pizza on one of the park benches. GPS went a little haywire and took me into the carpark at one point, but eventually pointed back to] the tree we thought it'd be in anyway. [The cache was floating in water; all the contents seemed to be fine though. Nice lil' logbook.
Quite a nice little park, would be a great lunch spot. Was a nice thing to do on our way home.

Found this one some time ago and can't remember the date I wrote down ... and forgot to log it. We actually made two trips to this one. The first one was when the park had 4 / 5 lunch eaters who were very interested in our walking and looking at the spot. We decided not to retrieve the cache at that time, as it would have been noticed. The second time was a quiet Sunday afternoon with not a soul around. Just the watchful gaze of the buddha!

A bug flew out of one of the knots in the tree, I ran screaming, much to the amusement of simpsonsrgr8

I laughed out oud when I found this one. No one around on quite a nice albeit cool day so was fairly easy. Thanks. Hatas
It seems I'm following Done & Dusted around. Third cache I found tonight, and all found by D&D yesterday. Great hiding spot for it - very clever.
This one is not too far from my work , so picked it up after work, nice easy find,,cheers and thanks.
I liked the hiding method, well done.

Final cache of our afternoon in Christchurch. Close to our motel, and yes, there's a car park spot nearby.
A cache with a tale or two maybe.
Easy find, great hide.
Left Evil Micro geocoin to begin it's journey. Not sure that it fits the theme of the location of this cache, so hope it moves on soon.
Cache find #780 - thanks.
