went out for a try at some cache in melbourne. A recent cleanup was evident and no cache in sight.
Pretty sure this one is now non existent.... Found 10 of Diamonds, 8 of clubs and 5 of spades cards with owners details along with a few other items from the cache; including J-G cache card and blue whale... It appears the container has been looted and destroyed.....

Arrived early on New Years day only to find muggles have been around. Found container lying about and log book some metres away. Will need to be replaced.

Arrived at park, while 3yo does his usual "are we going to the park?"..."yes, we are, just for a minute, and then we're going to a BETTER park!"
Grabbed cache and signed log. Mr had a go at the slide.
Thanks for the cache.

Came here after lunch at one of the nearby establishments to let the kids stretch their legs.... Mrs Happy Chappy actually lived less than 100m from here while I was courting her, so nice to find a cache here.

Nice easy find today with caughtatwork.
One of the neighbours was pruning his trees alongside the boundary fence here, but we managed to keep our activities hidden behind some thick foilage. Cache was nice and dry.
No swaps today. Thanks for the cache.

Caching with BigMutts1: Finally able to drop off the TB "I love Lucy" which came back with me from the UK! Good hiding spot.
Finally found this one after my second attempt. I am sure that I looked here last time.
GPS was playing up a bit here. After eliminating all the spots where the cache would be washed away, it didn't take much searching to find it.

First find on the start of a weekend of caching in the northeast. Not exactly where it looks like it should be. A muggle has logged it and returned it, so it may need some camo. TNLNSL.

We approached this one from a small street behind the park. A short walk up and around the corner was a cricket pitch - how did they fit that in here?
The cache was hidden in a good position for us not to be seen.
Thanks, Robmc.

Well bowled one down the pitch and went to long off to retrieve the cache. Nice little park. Thanks.

Another pretty, although hilly playground. We don’t mind these so much when the hide is well away from the equipment.

Excellent place and we had a play but didn't find The Ashes. We did however find the cache and took out the slinky, replacing it with a Kangaroo Isle teaspoon, ideal for an overseas traveller. Loved the spot and the geo-kids had a great play on the local playground equipment. TFTC.

Geoson found this one before I had even decided that we were at GZ. He is getting an eye for the sorts of hiding places to look for.
There were two soccer-playing muggles but using the available cover we were able to retrieve and replace the cache undetected.
Took: keyring, coins
Left: cyclometer, different keyring

6th of 7 finds for the day, and the most problematic. Found the cache no worries but a mother with about 10 children had decided to have a picnic about 5m from the cache site so some stealth was required. TNLN. Thanks.

The last of 4 Templestowe area finds on a sunny Sunday morning. Stealth was required to retrieve and replace the cache due to the kids at the playground, but they were too busy having fun riding their skateboard down the slide to really notice what we were doing.

Found by Mary & David at 1555. Yes, the Ashes series was incredibly exciting and enjoyable. Let's not mention the One Day series though. Took Euro 20c coin, left AFL Football coin. Also dropped off "Chililabombwe, Zambia" Unite for Diabetes TB. Our thanks again to The Yenorom Rangers.
Found with the help of a first-time cacher. Took the nose and left a new headphone+microphone headset that I didn't need. Thanks for the cache
I think you over-estimated the length of the hit over the bowler's head. I took a French Lady and left a Nose.
Found 200702141230 . Maybe the Poms trained here to rekindle their one-day form [?]. Whatever, I found the cache easily.

Looks like the pom's took your advice and did a bit of extra training here, we may have won the ashes but we would like to forget the one day series. No one around in this interesting little park on a warm but drizzly afternoon and the cache was soon found

This was the last for the morning but were slowed down when we found that one of the trusty two wheelers had sprung a leak. It seemed to be quite a slow leak so some pumping got us underway again and we reached the sporting arena without mishap. The cache was recovered at 12:10am after we figured where the grandstand had to be. This was LinearZZ's 200th find [^]. Took Tennis Ball (for midgets) keyring and left a Geelong FC keyring (Carn the Cats). Thanks Yenorom Rangers for a memorable occasion. Back to the car park, approx 12 km round trip in 2.5 hours.

After doing the nearby Duck'n Dive, it was only a short ride to this one. The park was deserted this morning, so I had no trouble locating the cache (the Poms are scheduled to be beaten by NZ at the WACA today). Another nice little park in a nice suburb .

I think Tom Tom took me to this park via a less popular route. As I walked up the path, I spotted a likely spot and, sure enough, it was there. Thanks for the cache.
Could have been a problem if the ashes were in progress but they wern't so an easy find. The wicket keeper was still there and a bit wooden though.
Dropped off a TB here that I brought back from Canberra
Many thanks

Sixteenth of nineteen cache finds for the day, I did this one in company with Dak. Dak had been to Mt Gambier and I had been to Canberra so it seems like along time between caches for us as a team so it was good to be out caching together once again. No one around, must have been the heat. A nice quick find at 17:15. Thanks for the cache.

Found your cache today well hidden in the appointed position. There was no cricket activity today on the pitch, but really you could play a full game with 3 or 4 players. No "gilly" wicketkeeper needed as the built-in one is automatic and wouldnt take much of a hit for a four ,in fact anything past the bowler would be an easy 4.There must have been a few brken roof tiles here over the years.Nice place and good positioning of the cache. Thanks to The Yenorom Rangers.TNLN.

10:10pm Hello, Yenorom Rangers thanks for organising the Event Cache this evening. *FTF* Solomonfamily a minute or 2 in front of the Pickupfamily followed a couple of minutes later by LuckDogsCrew - all of us arriving from different directions. Congratulations Pickupfamily on your anniversary and I am sure your other milestone will be yours very soon now. It was great having a chat with you all on this very pleasant evening. An easy find TNLN. Thanks.
Found by Pickupfamily Dad 2020hrs, 5 minutes behind the King of the Solomonfamily who was signing the log when I arrived. I was hoping to bag my 50th FTF, but in fact it was much more fun meeting up with King Solomon, joined shortly by LuckDogsCrew. Nice to meet you! And keep up the work, it's great to have the competition.
Well done on your first cache Yenorom Rangers, and thank you. TNLN.

Yes it was quite a caching event that we had - I wonder if the neighbours were a little suspicious of 4 people in a park at 10:30 on a Friday night, under the light of torches... As we're new to this game, it was nice to meet some fellow cachers.
