Took the detour off the main trail to this cache. Slope was slipperier than expected after the recent rains. Quick find at gz. Nice cache container. Now back to the main track and keep going up. Today i decided to take a hike around Black Hill Conservation park, over 14 km's walked. I walked from one side of the park to the quarry on the other side of the park and then down a different track on the way back. It has been about 4 years since i have been in this park. I was surprised to see how many people walking and a couple riding around the park. Alot more kangaroos than last time i was here. Nice views from the peak of the hills.
Whrend unseres Sdaustralienaufenthlats sind wir auch hier vorbeigekommen und haben unsern Namen im Logbuch hinterlassen. Danke frs Auslegen und Pflegen des Caches.
Out and about on the MEGA weekend with Kolour, after spending the morning collecting the Barossa Grapes and Anna Tommy arts, we parted ways with the group and headed out this way for a walk to Sugar Loaves, we stopped here on our descent to visit The Mothership.Log signed, all replaced as found. Thanks Frozen Feet for the cache.
Im visiting Adelaide for the first time, here for the Mega which is also my first, with Willis007. After a big day of geocaching in the Barossa Valley, we still had a little bit of time so I was keen to find nearby Sugar Loaves. After that find, we came to this one. It took a little while to find as coordinates were a bit out. Just go with the hint. Great to see an ammo tin. Log signed and replaced as found. Tftc
Hiking around the Black Hills area and having a ball. Until I got to this one.I searched for a long time. I went way up, to places that were very dangerous. I went left and I went right. And I flipped over a lot of rocks.I hate having to log a DNF on an ammo can in the forest. But I just have no idea where this might be.
And then, after sending off my DNF, I looked back up there, and thought to myself, did I really check everything on that one side?So up I went, and there it was! Very satisfying.
TFTC! Was a bit slipperier and steeper than I expected. I'm guessing the last finders didn't look high enough but was in obvious location. Nice late morning exercise.
Unfortunately couldn't find today. Saw a promising looking rock, even had a "door", but no cache. Will put a watch on this and see if it gets found later Thanks for the walk
The last cache as I headed back down in the general direction of the car. I read a few of the logs and got a sense of where I needed to look, and off I went - though it was a little slippy underfoot. Unfortunately the rain came through as I made the find - I wasn't quick enough with the waterproofs and ended up quite soggy. Thank goodness for quick dry clothing! TFTC Frozen Feet.
Another excellent Black Hill cache. Found thanks to accurate coords and the hint. Lovely to seethe creeks flowing today.
Out for a hike with caching as the excuse to get out.
Pretty obviously put when looking with some geocaching eyes, but very enjoyable none the less.
Ammo box the icing on the cake.

Undertook a brutal hike up one of the trails. Had a browse of the map to see whether or not there might be a cache somewhere along the way. Not surprising there were a couple. Attempted a quick search on our way up but dnf so continued on our hike. One the way back I read the description and the light bulb turned on. Went carefully to the suspected gz and found quickly. Tftc.
With more on the solved list and some multis to finish off it was another day in the hills, up and down so many times I lost count.
A great walk around and plenty of Roos about including a number with Joeys.
The cache was quickly located and the signing duties completed. TFTC

A bit further off the path than I anticipated, full of purple flowers and of course - bees! Luckily they ignored me as I made my way up to the mothership. Love a good ammo container.
Thanks Frozen Feet!

After completing the Elwynn Forest quest we thought we will find an other treasure before getting back to Black Hill Summit Trail... Especially because I love ammo boxes they have so much room for goodies haha. And it wasn't disappointing, great location and the big ammo box was quickly ours to discover the content. Cache is in perfect condition, signed the logbook and re-hid it. TFTC!
This evening with looming COVID-19 lockdown impacts growing closer every day, I was still determined to head out for some fitness whilst we still had the freedoms. Hence, this evening, I headed out with [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) to hike some of Black Hill. We walked up the Ghost Tree Gully Trail all the way to the top of the hills, and then descended along the slopes just as it was getting dark. We only managed to see a couple of other joggers on our hike, so the area was pretty remote. There were a few geocaches along the way that hadn't been found in quite some time, which also decreased any risk of COVID-19 transmission. A really nice area with many kangaroos out and about feeding at dusk.
This geocache was our first find for the evening, and I headed to the obvious place. The coordinates felt like they were about 10 m out, maybe just due to bouncing off the cliffs. Interestingly enough, I found a TB a little buried on the ground just close to the cache. So I'm not sure if the previous holder didn't place it in properly, or the following visitors took it out, but forgot to take it with them? The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Frozen Feet for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found It!
I found an escapee container halfway up to the mothership. I collected it and put it back. A nice spot and a quick find while walking in Black Hill CP!

Today I headed up black hill early as I had an event on at 3, I left the car park at midday to collect a few puzzles in the area. Mostly zytherns with a few others in the mix. A great day for walking considering the last few days of extreme weather. Was great to get a few years unloved on some of them too.

Found while walking with a friend. Dropped some TBs off from Europe. Nice to find an ammo can so close to the 'burbs! TFTC Frozen Feet!
Found it on a cool, rainy day so no-one else around...my kind of walk. Slippery since it was rainy so just needed to take a little more care. Thanks for the fun find!
Having just exited Elwynn Forest I descended to this cool hide. A small climb to GZ and the cache was in hand. {Be wary when standing here as I encountered large black bull-ants that were acting reasonably dosile but none the less were still inquisitive enough to alarm me enough to watch my feet constantly [:o]} SL at 11:39 on Sunday, 2 April, 2017. A lovely park this is It's my first visit to it, but not my last that's for sure [^] The cache and contents are in great shape and there are still some containers within, TN. TFTC Frozen Feet
Felt like a walk after work. Came nearby with Jack, then went boldly forth in search of the mothership!
Nice to find such a large cache, in a traditional container, complete with little containers too [8)]
Certainly was a slippery slope at GZ, but a quick find once at the right elevation.
Back to the trail for the next one...

Owl rang Mrs SA Sewer Rats to see if she wanted to go caching today and discovered a secret plot to reach Bobnirvana. Owl was in! Having found the easy caches, it was time to go for more difficult terrain. The team persuaded Owl that she could do it and by day's end she was astonished by what she had done. This was a cache Raven had found 4 1/2 years previously while part of her team, so it was nice for Owl to do it herself this time. Of course, Mr Rat and Brisal5 did the hard work, but it still counts!
Found whilst in the park doing BFE and other caches.
It was fun watching Brisal5 and Mr Rat traverse to the cache.
The highlight was watching The Owl trying to throw a container with a TB, up to Brisal5.TFTC

S.A. Sewer Rats are fast approaching Bob Nirvana. In an effort to help them achieve this grand slam of geocaching splendor I have been working away at the Latest BFE puzzles in collaboration with them for the past few months. So a date was set to go and get these and the three BFE caches in Black Hill. Of course there would also be a few others to grab as we walked past. The good Doctor Owl joined us.
Wow. Frozen Feet can be a little spurious with their cache descriptions. A short easy 20 minute walk. EASY. yes if you happen to be an Olympic athlete. For the majority of us 'normal' folk it is a good workout. for me, - a retired rotund person - it was a very good workout. A short slippery slope. a 50 degree slope of loose shale, covered in weeds that didn't have one foothold that I was sure wasn't about to give away at any moment. [B)] Sat Lock is poor. Bloody woeful. Standing on the track I was 18 metres away and could see where I needed to be. In the creek I was apparently already there! Just put the GPS away folks and trust you instinct.
HOWEVER the cache was as promised. Brilliant and if you ever needed a cache container you could get it here. [^] Although I TNLN I was impressed. Then I was very very glad to get back down without suffering any one of my three usual caching experiences. A fall, blood or ripped clothing. They of course would come later in the day.
Thanks Frozen foot for this cache. I give it a FP.

Out walking with geo-daughter on the way to a BFE puzzle cache. Beautiful cool Sunday morning. Lovely track. Found the mothership. TFTC
It is a pleasant walk along the Ghost Tree Gully Track. Looking up at the hills, we see where our little hiking expedition had taken us last weekend... there are some awesome views from up there! It was not long till we reach GZ and discovered The Mothership :c) Took a camo mint tin. TFTC Frozen Feet!!
After dinner I took the geo kids out for a bit of Kangaroo spotting and a cache. We saw 4 kangaroos on the short hike to the geozone. We must of searched for a good 15 mins without joy. After reading some past logs we widened our search area to include higher terrain areas. Shortly after the cache was finally spotted. Just then I saw a tail slither away under some rocks a few metres away. We signed the logbook, retrieved a TB, returned the cache and then made a quick retreat and left the nearby inhabitant in peace.
Challenging terrain with all of the spiky flora around but a very satisfying find.
Found with Poptart394 and RyeRye467.
Thanks for the cache.

Went up and down a lot of hills today. This cache was easy to get to. Dropped off a TB that's been with me way too long. Scored a path tag. Thanks heaps and TFTC. Cheers
Number 6 find for today. A little wet under foot so I moved about the rocky slop with all due care. tftc
Walking past wandering around Black Hill. Couldn't see but could very definitely smell the dead animal near the cache . GPS was well off (about 20m) but the clue got me home. Took micro caching container. TFTC Frozen Feet
Back here again after 6 or 7 years, and this time it was found easily, such a difference a lot of year makes. Great to be out finding a few caches again on a great walk.

Found during a trail run up that horrible, horrible hill. Loved the cache. Thank you.
Glad the rocks weren't wet today! Slipped and slid none the less, nice big cache and a great little spot to park your bum and look back where you came from. I'd love to know how you would explain yourself if muggles happened to wander past!!
Been wanting to find this cache for quite sometime. Nice warm day today, just right for caching. Nice easy walk to GZ arrive at GZ and we just couldn't find the cache anywhere looked high looked low, just couldn't find it anywhere our geo-senses were just right off, really did not want to DNF this one. So D persevered with encouragement from V and L after rechecking spot where we had already looked we were after a long search rewarded.
As noted in previous log cache was low on small cache containers of which we have plenty so the Mothership now has a motherload again, see photo

I went on a wonderful walk to The Mothership today during my slightly extended half hour lunchtime from work. The cache is only 3.25km from my work place but I always thought that it was too far for a lunchtime search. I was back at work in just over 1 hour and the track I took was 1km from my car. It is a beautiful walk that turns into a slightly mystical one close to GZ, and reminded me of walking through Morialta. With only birds calls to listen to I followed the creek to the point you need to cross. The last 15-20 meters was quite slippery with the damp grass and rocks to climb and then descend after the find. Both my phone and GPS took me straight to the cache and found it in the second place that I checked out. There is now only one container left after I took a small 35mm sized one which I have a specific use for. Left some coins and headed back to work enjoying the scenery along the way, which looks great at this time of the year. Thanks Team Wibble this was a most enjoyable cache. Favourite point coming your way.
After a discussion with Geodad and muggle brother over where we thought the cache would be hidden from 2 possible locations (we hoped down rather than up!) we soon discovered that our worst fears were being realised - we had to go up. Which involved some climbing and a few choice swear words on the way up, and a few slides and on the way down. Luckily geodad let me borrow his walking stick for the descent which made it easier for me!

The loose shale made it a bit more difficult, especially coming down. Apart from a few scratches no bones were broken. Thanks Team Wibble.
Took a while to find it, until standing back and noticing the obvious place that fits the description. In addition to making a swap, mr geocacher 5 yo had taken one of the medicine bottles from the load to make his first cache. Tftc!
Slipping and sliding we made our way to the hide. What a magnificent rock formation.

A nice day for a walk with the family. The bushfire got pretty close to the cache. Very pretty area. TFTC (Thanks for the climb?) Enjoyed by the whole family.
Another fine day with time for a short walk before watching motoGP from Phillip Island.
My GZ was a bit all over the place but when I stood back, thought about the hint and looked for the obvious the find was made.

A 'like-minded' group assault by CoC, e.gregory1, Malco, FeatherWaite and T_M saw this cache visited amongst 17 others today (a bit of rain was no deterrent).
A cache container full of cache containers. Awesome!! Always love to find an ammo box in these bush settings. Even with the bit of rain around we still bumped into a considerable Heysen Friends group hiking the trails. With the find, the Mothership granted us more rain. TFTC Wibbles

Black Hill assault part 3 – the Western ridges.
episode 9 featuring TigerMuffin, Malco!, Featherwaite, e.Gregory1 and *Cache_or_Check*
We mustn’t have read the script correctly as our easy 20min walk in was more like the mother of all walks over 4 of the highest peaks in Black Hill. A ship would have been handy today as well as certain areas were pretty wet from all the rain that had fallen in the days before and unfortunately also during our walk which made the final ascend nice and slippery.

One of our easier finds today while on a walk around the Black Hill CP area in the company of *Cache_or_Check*, Malco, Tiger Muffin and Featherwaite. Thanks Team Wibble for the cache.
Nice to find a good size cache for a change. A bit of a scramble to get to GZ but we made it and the find was made. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to this spot.
Found while on a Geocaching Patrol activity in Black Hill. Our last find for the day, we had been walking for 4 and half hours and it was getting hot and water was running low. Did the scramble, made the find, signed the log and we headed for home. Thanks for the cache (caches) Team Wibble.
Last cache for the day, found in company of hiking companion Bob from Elsewhere during my second visit to Black Hill over the Easter break. Thanks for the cache Wibbles!
A bit of a scramble and the cache was found. The rock door turned into 2 bits of rock door, so it is now 2 bits of rock door and another small rock protecting the cache. Tore a small hole in my pants in the most embarrassing of places on the way down. Luckily I had a jacket shoved in the bottom of my pack, which meant I didn't have to break out the duct tape and end up with a sticky behind
An easy find after a bit of a scramble while enjoying a brilliant walk around Black Hill on a lovely morning. Thanks Team Wibble

We had a couple of friends with us, and it was their first caching experience. 2 days later they purchased a GPS.

We said good bye to the parents this morning, and whilst waving them good bye, we looked up at Black Hill and then at the lovely blue sky, and well, we were on our way!
With the Mothership up first, we made our way through a familiar part of the park, in to a new part that we hadn't explored before. It was a nice walk, still cool, but nice and warm in the sun. Arriving near GZ A made her way across, and quickly found the good size cache.
A travel bug was left, before we continued up the track, to take in the view at Elwyn Forest.

Due to my dodgy GPS and some uncommon heavy traffic on the trail, it took time to track this one down. Excellent hide and a nice little cache. Took yip yap tin to make a micro cache with, but since I accidentally left my goodie bag behind I might have to come back and add something cool another time.
On the way here from the Ruins I used Stumble Upon as my search engine to find Blab Recs an unexpected and unplanned find for the day. A really nice spot with many a location to hide a cache it was hard to decide where to start looking but it was in the 2nd place I looked.

Supposedly easier locations on our retreat. Knees? What Knees? The last metre took forever with a bad case of the wobbles. Thanks Team Wibble
Radioactive and Harmonic 2 found the cache. After nearly sliding down into the dry creek we were able to work out where the cache was. Left spare AA batteries.

This took a bit of finding before it was found. Walked to where GZ was indicated, which resulted in a needle in a haystack-type search. I was unconvinced this was the spot, and saw a more likely spot but with no geotrails it also looked unlikely. Wanting confirmation before risking waking the snakes that must be here, I rang a previous finder and got what I wanted, then found the cache. Why aren't there any nanos? You should fill it with nanos so I can go out and make lots of playground caches for Freddo to find . TFTC.

Walked up the track until the GPS started pointing up the hill. Stopped on the track and looked up the hill wondering where the cache could be. As we were standing contemplating, Mrs TiedyeSmileys all of a sudden started to do some sort of wild rain dance squealing out. We had stopped in an ants nest and there were multitudes of ants crawling up her legs. After getting them all off, the rain dance worked as it then started bucketing down. Went and up a bit and soon had the cache in hand.
