What a fantastic hide!!!!! After almost 1 yr the container is still in great condition, although the logbook was almost too damp to sign. The kids swapped a toy. Thanks again.
Wrong coords posted! Used ones provided by other cachers and after a brief interlude to watch a platypus made the find, left some swaps And took the tassie rock that’s beautiful to hide further north. The rats sure have had a great go at the cache and have finally penetrated, there was water inside but I cud sign the log. Goes to show that even with PVC-tube that hasn’t been used for foodstuffs, the rats arent deterred from chewing regardless!!!
Nice spot and lovely little walk thru the rain forest, took nothing and left a Tas rock, tftc
We did the circuit walk and then drove close to where we thought gz was supposed to be after looking around and not finding it I looked at previous logs and realised we need to update our coordinates and they were back where we had just come from. We decided to continue further up the road and grab this one on our return.
A nice quick find when you have the correct coordinates. How did the first person locate it so far away?
Thanks for the cache.

What a lovely spot. Easily found with the coordinates provided by many previous visitors. TFTC
What an extremely beautiful location and walk. Two small creek crossings and so much birdlife around the freshwater.
We left the Trail briefly to find this one and like others, used the coordinates that have been put into so many people‘s logs. They seem to be quite accurate.
Thanks Bluelens

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 54. Atherton to Cairns (again) Day 5. Having accomplished the walk up Walsh's Pyramid yesterday, I was looking for some caches that took less effort. I settled on heading back up the Giles range to get the three remaining caches along the way that I was going the wrong way for last time and a few at national park attractions along the top of the range. I ended the day with the puzzles in valley towards Gordonvale and the multi in Gordonvale. A fun day that got me moving a little bit, but allowed me to recover from yesterday.
As per usual, I spent way too long at the bogus GZ before reading the notes and finding another much more realistic set to use: S17° 10.459' E145° 38.333'. Once I went here, the cache was quickly found.

Found today on a quick solo getaway to the tablelands.
I pulled up on the road near the published coordinates, but it really didn't seem a likely GZ. A quick check of previous logs soon showed a corrected set of coordinates, which seemed a much more likely GZ, so into the GPS they went. Parked up in the parking area and a short walk later, had the cache in hand.
The thickwall PVC pressure pipe has withstood the elements for many a year, but the critters have finally chewed their way in and it's now wet inside. Attention wouldn' go astray. Previous cachers have put a small sistema inside, but it's all still very damp.
Thanks for the interesting walk around the Mobo "crater" bluelens
The coordinates which worked for me, as pasted with much thanks from previous logs were:
**S17° 10.459' E145° 38.333'**

Fangsoki and I checked out of our Cairns accommodation this morning, and began our journey to Atherton, where we will be staying for the next couple of days. We headed off the main road and around for these older caches along here on our way.
Of course we had not read what everyone else has said since this cache was first published, and therefore pulled up at the side of the road and headed in to begin our search. After a while with no luck, we checked previous logs, and of course then discovered the alternate coordinates provided a multitude of times.
With those plugged in, the location made much more sense, so off we headed and parked at the parking before making our way down for a quick find.
The saving grace here is that this is a really beautiful spot - I was only a little disappointed I didn’t get to see any platypus here today, but the walk around this circuit was worth the time.
Thanks for the cache bluelens, and to everyone else for providing corrected coordinates, as above!

1MinnieMoo and I were on our way to Atherton and decided to grab this one.
Looking for caches at their published coordinates. That's a thing. It wasn't until we spent 15 minutes at the listed GZ we realised we were in the wrong place. Thankfully, some previous logs told us where to go.
We pulled up at a new GZ and made our way our down to GZ. Thankfully, 1MinnieMoo found it pretty quickly. We signed the log and then continued our circuit to explore the nice area.
Incidentally, this cache is currently the 519th oldest active cache in Queensland. TFTC bluelens

After quite a search, with GPS all over the place, we finally found this dilapidated container. One loggers alternative coords were 300+ metres away, but given how jumpy our Garmin was who knows! Not so keen on the leeches we brought back to the car with us though
We left Cairns yesterday and although we were hoping to stay at Lake Tinaroo, we ended up at Tolga because all the caravan parks we contacted were booked out. It’s a shame, because although Tolga is nice, it’s not the same as camping here on the water. We enjoyed doing the “geo tour” of the lake, finding caches and checking out the views as we went. A nice variety of hides in some lovely spots kept us interested and busy for the day.
TFTC and thanks to all the CO’S for developing and maintaining the caches in this beautiful spot. Your efforts are appreciated.

A great walk and lovely quiet little spot. I am glad I read the other logs as it is quite and offset.

We did the forest drive before but didn't have the time for the walks and the caches. The cache was exactly where others described it would be, the owner seems not to have been online for more than a decade. But cache is in relatively good condition, someone tried to chew its way into the pipe but didn't succeed.
Although we have done several rainforest walks before, this one with the little lake was beautiful and well worth the while. We saw a turtle sunbathing on a log.

On a lap of the lake today,
I headed MOBO way
And completely wasted half an hour in the jungle because the coordinates are so wrong,
that they make a mobile phone GPS location look good
Back at camp tonight I've read previous finder's logs.
No wonder I couldn't find the cache [:o]
Those coords are like an overripe Gorgonzola !! [:o]
Please fix the posted coords !!
It isn't hard !!
Just edit the cache notes and post a new set of coords to the reviewers !!
So cachers like me don't waste their time looking for your cache where it isn't !!

Well....seems like I’ve been caught with these co ordinates that are incorrect. I’d lost phone signal up there so didn’t see that I was apparently right off (as with the last one but at least the logs were there for me then). Very annoying to go to a T1.5 with an injury, only to find yourself stumbling around some very uneven and unexpected ground. I wondered at the time why it would of been placed so far from the main attraction and with nowhere safe to park.
While spending a few weeks in Walkamin we decided to have a day grabbing a couple if caches we hadn’t found in the past.
How amazing to see the lake so full at last...absolutely stunning. We cooked ourselves a bbq lunch near the Avenue of Honour and then headed off around the lake.
This was our first find for the day and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful walk. Thanks to previous finders who kindly added the correct co-ords.
Many thanks for the hide bluelens

Found this one with VikingNav today while exploring the area. Thanks for the fun cache!
On our third and last day in Cairns, we took a drive to the tablelands to find a virtual and see what was a round. Ended up at several really neat fig trees, a few waterfalls, and some traditional caches. We found this on using the corrected coordinates (S 17° 10.459 E 145° 38.333) from previous logs. Nice walk even after the last few days rain. TFTC
Bit of damp in the air, but what a great day to be out and about. Our chief navigator nearly walked straight past, but it was such a beauty that we stopped and called her back to have a look with us. Then a quick look just off the track and we were signing the logbook.
These are the correct co-ordinates
No need for scrub bashing – the location is very close to the path in a fairly obvious hiding place.
Cache is BYOP.
Happy caching.

Looked for this one a long time ago when I was just starting out & stood no chance. Now with the updated Coord's (see log 2 below) & a few more geo-smarts, made an easy find. Thanks seemehere for maintaining the caches around here & TFTC! Great spot 0
Drove out here and noted that the cords were only 11 metres from th road, so after doing the walk around the crater went back to investigate. Once I read some previous logs, and changed my cords, we were now about 350 metres away. I can't be bothered with caches that are so incorrect....
Danbulla Forest Drive circuit today with a couple of geocaching stops.
This is a very nice rainforest walk, although there was some debris around from recent wild weather.
Cache found without too much drama – thanks to all who have posted corrected co-ordinates.
After reading previous logs I came prepared with a cache repair kit. Cleaned out all the mucky stuff and left new swaps. Replacement log book inside 200ml sistema inside original container – hopefully it will stay dry enough.

Listed coordinates are way out, so to keep the real coordinates easily available to those that only read the last few logs, here they are: S17 10.459, E145 38.333. Thanks to earlier finders for posting these coordinates in their logs. I think bluelens is no longer active so it's a good idea for future finders to add these coordinates to their logs from time to time.
The log is damp but can be written on at present. May be different after the wet season. TFTC.

But it tokes a long time searching the wrong place, before we were reading the logs, and find some new coordinates.

The trail was officially closed but we went in from the end and apart from scrambling over one fallen tree all was well. TFTC.
More a DNA (did not attempt) than a DNF. There is a "Track Closed" sign at the start of the track which presumably leads one towards the cache.

Using some kind of a hybrid, accompanied by the information given in the hint the GZ was located and the cache quickly found.
We did read with interest that a group of James Cook University students had located the cache earlier this year and left a comment.
A replacement log book would not go astray. The present one is very damp and going mouldy. TNLN.

We decided to stay a couple of extra days in Tinaroo so that we could tackle a couple of the tougher caches, as we still had a little time left we thought we would retry this one using the co-ords given in the logs.
350 metres from where we were searching a few days ago we found the cache - we also had the added bonus of coming across a cassowary and its chick as we strolled around the track AND fortunately we had a camera with us, although not the one we would have liked to have had.
New co-ords we used were - S17 10.459 E 145 38.333 - cache is in good condition just slightly damp inside the lid has been chewed by an animal and the container was out of its hide spot. We have replaced it and hopefully it will not be moved again for a while.

Attempted this cache today but it wasnt until we had hunted and hunted that we read the five previous logs we had downloaded in our GPS to find that the co-ords are way out. Request that the owner please change the co-ords on the listing as it is very disappointing to come all this way and have incorrect info in the GPS. Unfortunately as we are all the way from WA we will not be able to make another attempt.
Please can one of the Approvers update the co-ords as the owner of the cache hasnt logged in since Dec 2008

Nice area and a pretty walk. After a longish hunt we found the cache. Left spider, took nothing. The co-ordinates on the Garmin GPSmap 60CSx were S 17° 10.458 E 145° 38.328 at the site. Danielc's co-ordinates put us up the track 30 metres or so. We had 9 satellites with 6metre accuracy most of the time, so we hope this helps. TFTC.
Went on walk and GPS was all over the place. I was reading out tree names as we passed them and suddenly Smuggle Bug had a Eureka moment. I went in and retrieved cache and got covered in worms.TFTC
Had a light bulb moment and the wandering womble woman was attacked by man eating worms and then there was this box with stuff in and we signed a book...TFTC
Had to resort to WhatsAMaps co-ords to find this one, as the listed co-ords had us well away from the GZ. Having said that, the clue would have eventually got us to the right place as it is an absolute spoiler. This is a pleasant walk in a hidden area, and another place we would never have found had it not been for geocaching. Thanks Bluelens for going to the trouble of placing a cache out here. Took a soccer ball whistle, left a purple starfish. TFTC.
Realy enjoyed the walk to this one, with the little creek crossings etc. Would not have found if there was not the little sign saying what kind of tree it was. GPS was struggling to get a signal and was WAY out. TFTC. TNLN.

Should study all logs in preparation for finding caches. Arriving at the carpark We went down the track purely on instinct. Didn't want to get the boots wet so back up to the top. Then decided to follow GPS to original coordinates 300m back down the track and into the bush. Sick of wait-a-while hangups and no find went back to other end of track and found with ease. Moral of this story. Given a choice of clean walking track, beautiful creek etc, or 60m through bush 300m from nowhere use instinct before GPS.

As I have never had trouble with Bluelens coordinates before I attempted this one without reading the logs. However the published coordinates are over 300m out, consequently I spent a while searching through rainforest and thinking that this isn't right.
Eventually I read the logs on my PDA. I used Walterhellmut's coordinates and found them to be very accurate for me.
Very nice walk through the rainforest which I enjoyed, glad to see how well it has recovered from the cyclone. Thanks for the cache. Picked up " TB and Left "Baseball" TB.

Classic bluelens cache hidden in an area Ballbag&Bumblebee have never been to before. The mobile phone GPS did a merry dance on this one and kept losing the signal. Ballbag's brother went one way around the track and the rest of us took the lazy way around. We soon met up when the subject of the hint was located.

L: Soccerball whistle and plastic dinosaur
On the way back to the car, Ballbag's brother was met by another deadly queenslander. He stopped us all in our tracks when he noticed a black snake across the path [:0]. Initially we were all going to take the long way back to the car. However, Ballbag made enough noise to scare it off and we all returned to the vehicle.
TFTC and merry x-mas cachers.

The new coordinates are spot on and led to an easy find - a classic BlueLens cache.
What a remarkable place. Driven by years ago, but never curious enough to stop. I left my swimming stuff in the truck which was silly as the water looked most inviting after scrambling through hot bush earlier in the day.
Decided this was a nice place to start Lucky Frog TB on his travels.

Raced to this one but went the wrong side of the tree before I found it.
Been here many years ago.

Great location found this one nearly at dark. Used the revised coords. TNLN. We need to return to the area to do Euramoo as we did not have the revised coords for that one so we can have a better look at this spot in the daylight. Thanks bluelens. The bridge through to the Gilles Highway has been repaired.
Easy Find.
Did this one while Helping Kameruga Rover crew set up their Roventure Initiative course. Introduced them to the world of cacheing.

This is really an awesome place. The crater look leads you back into volcanic times. And the walk is well maintained! I have to come back here to show the spot to my visitors.

I added a more accurate waypoint shown above (accuracy 8m). But using the clue there is no need for it.
