*REQUIRES MAINTENANCE* Fun find, thanks for the stop. Wanted to sign and do a trinket swap but everything is wet and mouldering Cute container and idea though!FOUND IT! cinta & nomes
We continued today our tour of several AUS states in the NorthWest and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to bluelens for the generation of this nice cache Eden (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. Today was a very early start with a drive to the airport for a 6 am flight to Cairns and day one of our North Queensland geocaching trip.Snickersallan and I were met at the airport by Grannysmith and Bluewattle. The bags were thrown into the car and we were off for a day of adventure. First off it was up to Kuranda, then across to Mareeba, down to Atherton and Millaa Millaa. It was then over to Innisfail before working our way back to Cairns, to arrive just in time for the night time event. It was nice to see a couple of locals turn up to the event, thank you.On our way to grab an old virtual we saw this one and thought we would try our luck. It took us a few minutes as I thought inside the fence area would have been private property, turns out it may have not been, lol. A nice size container. The log was signed with all four names before it was replaced as found and we continued on. Thanks for the hide and the placement.
TFTC smile20140 Out and about on a Sunny day grabing a cache to try and keep a challenge going signed as GS1947 on small logs Thank you bluelens for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Travelling around the local districts with geo friends for a few days and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way whilst visiting some places for the very first time.Thank you, CO, for placing this good hide for our benefit and enjoyment.
Just getting back in to Geocaching after several years break, and did this one in conjunction with Em&Dunc. Fairly easy find.
Quick and easy find. Sadly, the log book has some water damage, so will need some maintenance.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT.Now with a detour to Thursday Island.TFTC. A bit of a slip slide in the mud with the caravan. Nice quick find.
Travelling through so an easy pull off with a van. Not sure about this rain but not going to let a little water stop us. I did check the letterbox first, just in case, just a toy train! Spotted the nice size container quickly after.
It's always nice to find an oldie. We were travelling in this area after we left QOGM 2023 in Longreach, then to Mount Isa and the Gulf of Carpentaria. Now we stopped here for a break and a smiley. We found the cache and signed the log.Tftc bluelens

Staying near Yungaburra in the caravan, for a few days. Exploring the surrounding area today.
Last one for the day, just as the rain arrived.
A slightly odd location, I felt like we were in someone garden
A nicely sized cache.

A quick find in dreadful weather but we were soaked through hours ago. So hardly notice it now.3 bluelens
We have driven past many times but weren’t quiet sure if it was in someone’s front yard or not. Turns out, it’s not (it’s in a public park). Cache was an easy find but we did have a bit of trouble getting the lid off. Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC
Was so cool seeing this fen
Was not sure if I would find it being 6 months from last find

Konie and i were continuing our geocaching adventures, heading north. We stopped by this cache and found the cache after a short search. Names added to the log, everything returned as found, then we were on our way again. TFTC
Found after a little look around the entrance, having lunch in the park next door, nice little spot, tftc
Great find. Well hidden but found reasonably easily. Had to go bushbashing a little as there was a large spiderweb across the obvious path. TFTC.
We had driven past this location on our previous visit, but had not realised there was a geocache here.
Today we had the opportunity to visit, and fair to say that this one took quite a bit of searching before we finally found the container. We had looked in the exact area, but had somehow overlooked the hide and container.
It was a welcome find and big smiles when finally we had it in our hands.
Thanks bluelens

Was well hidden for a large cache, as it was not in the obvious spot. Took a tb, tftc.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 48. Atherton Day 3. My third day trip was to the Malanda area. There was a set of Labs here and another waterfall to visit. A nice walk around town took me to three local caches before heading to the surrounding area. A nice chat with a local cacher who rescued me at one cache. Next was Millaa for lunch and a few caches, including one I failed last month. The day ended with a final Lab at Evelyn and home via a final earth cache.
I am surprised there were so many places to search given the size of this container. At least I found it in the end, just as it started to rain.
Thanks for the cache bluelens

We spent a small amount of time looking in the wrong garden. Widen search..Bingo . Found the odd blue cache. Tftc.
Took a little while - container was definitely not where we expected. But thankfully had somewhere to sign the log out of the rain. TFTC
We have a lot of caches that we have missed logging. Sorry it has taken so long. The cache was a nice quick find even though it was raining. Thanks for the cache.
Checking out the Atherton tablelands after being inTownsville for the mega. Did your Eden today. 2 May 2022 12:27 pm Tyfc bluelens total caches now 4796 .
Just as we got out of the car it started to rain, so the hoped short search didnt happen and we ended up looking in lots of places before budgie found the cache at long last.
This was my first Mega trip in a while now, I had planned to go to the last one in Wangaratta but concerns about COVID made me pull out at the last minute. For this one it was a trip with BudgieTas and GooseandEgg landing in Cairns on the Sunday where we collected a few caches in the dark before driving down to Townsville on the Monday collecting a select few caches along our very indirect route.
While in the Townsville we made the best of our time collecting a few series of caches and searching for some of the older caches on offer, some with lots of favourite points or something we thought maybe a bit different, along with all that we got to go to all the Mega events and meet up with cachers old and new, spending Thursday with Greg going round Magnetic Island and a bit of time with the Davinells who went out of their way to welcome the Tasmanians to Queensland.
All to soon it came to an end and we drove down to Mackay on the Monday again collecting caches along the way before flying home on the Tuesday Morning.
Thanks for the warm (sometimes too hot) welcome Queensland until next time!
Thanks for the cache.

We were focused on the wrong side of the driveway for a while but with no luck we widened our search in the rain until budgietas called out those two words we like - 'fount it'.
Thanks bluelens
A ten day mega trip was arranged with Stainless steel rat and Budgietas. We flew into Cairns and out of Mackay, with the majority of the time in and around Townsville. We found a huge variety of caches and although our find count was a little lower than we would have liked, some of the high D/T caches more than made up for that. I really appreciate the effort of the local COs and all the people involved in hosting the mega and associated activities. I enjoyed catching up with many of our caching buddies, and make some new ones too!
Thanks for a great mega trip!

A tricky little cache to find, but we came up with the goods after a short search
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This cache was found as part of a trip with GoosenEgg and Stainless Steel Rat to Far North Queensland for the Townsville Mega. The trip started in Cairns and ended in Mackay, and allowed us to find some ripper caches inbetween.
We managed to complete some of the Breaking Bad cache series until we driven back to the car due to the heat, and the Saint and most of the book series. There were some good variety in both these series which kept them interesting.
One of the highlights (although a low light when removing the mud) was the walk on the salt flats outside Townsville to get the challenge caches
Another highlight was Magnetic island, where other than some great views, we managed to spot two koala's in the wild.
Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache that was part of our trip

Today was going to be a bit of a higgledy piggledy day of caching adventures for Fangsoki and I, involving a number of multi caches and other caches we had on our list but just hadn’t had a chance to get to over the past couple of days.
We pulled up here and did begin to question ourselves before heading over to begin the search. With no luck, we went back to the geomobile to re-gather our senses, when along comes someone in his vehicle, winds the window down and says to me “I’m here to see Shane”. All I could manage was “yep, just head straight up”. Hope it all worked out
Then back Fangsoki and I went for another search, and Fangsoki quickly spotted the prize.
Log signed, we headed off before we heard anymore about old Shane.
Thanks for the cache bluelens.

1MinnieMoo and I pulled up for this one next.
So - we looked at GZ. What is it? An easement? I began to feel uncomfortable while we looked around. I read the previous logs. I am going to go with the sentiment of Bundyrumandcoke and Dunmowin. It feels like private property, looks like private property.. it probably is private property.
A car drove in as we were looking around. Oh lordy. Old Mate told 1MinnieMoo to go and say gudday to "Shane". Good-o.. whoever a Shane is. We regrouped to the car and checked the previous logs. I decided to grow some tars and decided to check from a more bold point of view. There it is! I don't think I have signed a cache so fast. We rehid the cache and we were out of there quicker than a rat up a drainpipe.
I was personally uncomfortable with this one. But I managed to conquer my demons and find the beast. I am glad to cross this one off. Incidentally, this cache is currently the 519th oldest active cache in Queensland (a place shared with 3 other people). TFTC bluelens

DNF Don’t feel comfortable crawling around someone’s garden. Had a good look but we couldn’t find.
Grey nomads, currently spending time caching in far north Queensland. We have had enough of Cairns and hankering to get back on the road again. Finally up on the tablelands, caching in and around.
Took two attempts at this cache before and after lunch but no find. What is this place anyway?

Naah. This one goes against all my caching feelings. Garden beds, unknown if they are private property. The area inside the gate is of unknown status, in spite of the sign beside the road. Not wanting to trespass. Checked the easily accessible spots, but no dice. After checking past logs with no luck, and not wanting to pull someones property apart, we decided to log the DNF.

Found with LJB54 after a stop to stretch our legs. Had a bit of a light drizzle when we arrived at GZ and used the overhead cover to our advantage and soon had this cache in hand.
Like large caches like this one and container had a bit of moisture in it. We tried to dry as best we could before returning to its hide but not sure how successful we were long term considering it was raining ️ TB visit, SL TNLN TFTC

On our northern trip to the tablelands we made our second attempt to find this Geo cache as last time it was pouring rain and it hindering our search. We found the cache this time still in the dampness of weather. This cache is very moistened so we did some quick maintenance as the log is too wet to sign. Left a new log book in a clip lock bag to try and protect it from the moisture. TFTC.
The mini rats have been away on holidays with the Rats on another fantastic family holiday. We made it all the way to Cape York and along the way we found this cache. Thanks for adding to the thrill of our holiday.

The Rats and mini rats have just returned from an amazing 6-week adventure to Cape York. Along the way we had time to stop and grab a big handful of caches, some of our finds were in the remotest parts of Australia. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing your cache, you've all contributed to us having a great holiday. Apologises for the generic log.
