Thanks for the placement and smiley. Appreciative of the previous finder who recently performed maintenance on this cache. All in good order in this beautiful patch of bushland.
6/7/2023 Find #6259
With only a couple of days left of the holidays, I took off for the afternoon keen to get a few caches, with this particular one being in this area of bush.
I had tried to find this once before to no avail. As it turns out it would’ve been a year to the day tomorrow that I got my DNF here. But noticing it had been replaced, I was determined to get that sad face off my map.
Arriving at a familiar GZ, I began my search. Then widened it. Then felt disheartened. Surely it hasn’t gone again. I sent a PAF and was resigned to the fact it just wasn’t to be and had begun to head back to the car when the message response came through.
And I decided I just had to give it one more go. It really should be there.
Back I headed and had that complete “duh! Idiot!!” moment. Yes it is here.
Thanks for the cache madmyers.

Out for the day with nikid1 playing on the southside & thought we would try our luck here seeing as it had been recently replaced. After a short search at GZ we had the cache in hand & our names added to the log.

I noticed that this might be missing. So I left a small preform to keep this oldie alive for a little longer
I took quite a wide search area on this one. Sad to say, I agree with the previous searchers… I think this one is gone
We have enjoyed collecting many of these over various weeks and months. We were in the area, and noticed this one not too far away. Definitely worth a D2 are to find.

It was approaching feed time so it was decided to complete this loop of oldies then escape back to the safety of the north side. A quaint park between acreage and a quick find to boot. Onward to the next few in the area, thanks madmyers for the hide.

Out and about for a few olde time caches in lovely wilderness/urban areas. Like here. I feel like I have been in this bushland a few tiems - always to get "one" cache, and then leave again. Only to return later for the next. It's nice bushland. Today's cache was this one, a real quick find, and the reward of a 14 year old logbook.
Thanks madmyers for entertaining me at this location.

After finding a couple of caches at the other end of the reserve we followed a trail to this GZ. What constantly blew our minds on the walk of 800 metres or so was the amount of infrastructure we saw on the hike. There were lots of bridges and platforms on the trek and judging by the crowds of people in the area (including the three of us there were three people in the hustle and bustle) it looked like money well spent.
I'm not one to poke fun at public funds being misappropriated because I once fooled my wife into buying a $12 bottle of Prosecco with the family budget claiming we needed it for investment purposes. I felt guilty about it but Mrs Woodywothwell went on to buy another 6 or 7 bottles of it for our nest-egg and our future has never looked brighter,.
Our son was with us today and although he is a sparky we consult with him as if he were a tradie for all occasions and resort to his expertise for all judgment calls on anything that requires a high-viz jacket to construct. We would ask how much each platform would cost to build as we walked over it and he kept coming up with the same notion that it would cost him a couple of thousand bucks to even start dreaming up an answer. He would readjust his testicles, pull up his pants over his plumber's crack and ask how much we could afford. This is the richest bit of bush I have ever seen. tftc

We'd just bought a dishwasher up the road so looked for a cache nearby for our find for the day. This cache was nice and close and Ann easy walk from the car. The bush is nice and clear as it appears a bushfire had been through not to long ago, but the cache is safe and dry. We love a decent sized cache in the bush- thank you.
Today was a milestone for me. I found my first trackable at this cache. I’ve taken it and logged it.its off overseas after more than 700 logs since 2012. The cache was a quick easy find in good condition. I’ll be back to look for more in the area soon.
Two caches on my way home.
This one was very visible in its hiding spot.
Signed the log and hid it a bit better
Thank for this cache

Nearly thought it had been burnt out but adjusted my bearings and was an easy find. TFTC.
I tackled the three in this little patch of bushland this morning.
It was a 3.41 K round trip that was very enjoyable. It was also very photogenic with the little bridges and seats to sit on.
This was #1 and was found quite easily. Everything was dry and in good nick. I love finding these older caches that have stood the test of time. After signing log I replaced cache where found.

After attending an event, then going for a lovely walk in a nearby conservation park, stortigirls and I decided that we might be able to squeeze in another smiley before dark. A short walk and we were at GZ. There, the cache was quickly spotted and the log signed. TFTC
I had been out with Selva Girls and a group of other cachers at a nearby oldie, and as there was still an hour of light left, we thought we'd try and claim a smilie here to clear an area. A short walk in and the cache was quickly spotted and the log signed. Tftc madmyers

This looks like it would have been a fun series given the cache distribution. I will collect a few more when I am next in the area, but it is a shame the old final is no longer there.
I needed this particular month for my stats, so very happy to make the find today. We (I) were (was) a little perplexed by the clue in the cache until we actually read the cache page rather than just looking at the particular date. TFTC
Out and about over this way grabbing my daily caches. I parked over near the gate and that left me ony a short walk across to this cache which was an easy find
The log book was extracted and dutifully signed and dated. There was supposed to be two trackables in this cache according to the listing, but there are definitely no TB's here now? Someone may have taken them and forgotten o log them? I will message their owners to let them know they are missing from this cache. I've seen this situation quite a bit now. It always seems to be non premium caches that TB's go missing from [?]
Anyhow, cache container was replaced back as found, all ready for the next geocacher to trek in here and find it for themselves [8d]
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache madmyers

With my holidays nearing an end, one last date was set to travel southside before having to rejoin the proletariat. The plan was to eradicate some rabbits and rats, collect some solved puzzles, and grab any others along the way.
Parked at the gate and wandered up the hill. Checked the likely spot before widening my radius, then returned to the original place to find it sitting there all along!
Mini milestone for me! Grabbed the TB.
This cache is in good condition, and makes smilie #3200. Thanks **madmyers** for bringing us here. Feel free to discover our trackable TGQNRV .

After a big day we decided to get another smiley on the map . We headed straight for GZ walking along the track. We were closing in on GZ until the GPS jumped from 57m to 169m , so a quick U-turn lead us on the right "track". We saw something of interest and investigated leading us to have the cache in hand . Thanks for the cache madmyers. Dropped off Trackable. TFTC!!!

Kestal was needing to make up some numbers so a trip down the range to Brisbane was in order. Usually I am a list maker but today I was just driver and I had no idea what was on the agenda except for a select few. And so here I found myself in an area I have not visited before. This was our last one for today and we came upon a bag of TBs. Decided to move WWII Hero's along. TFTC Madmyers.
Came down to Bris from Toowoomba with Eskies5 to try and grab some caches and tick a few more boxes. Our lucky last cache for the day, and like the rest of our caches today we were able to make a nice quick find. TFTC madmyers

Thanks for putting this cache on our Sunday stroll path. Nice part of the world. Very peaceful. Can smell the neighbours fire

Linden/6 & I were in the area again today after completing most of a series up the road a little while ago.
It was a glorious day maybe a bit too hot but we enjoyed our time in the bush anyway.
We had just completed the Rabbit Series so we headed along the road to pick up a few missing ones as we went!!
This was a quick find after a bit of an awkward park.
Thanks MadMyers TFTC SL

YaY ! Our 1st Geocache this was fun, and easy for our 1st.. Off to find the next one .. My Daughter made a trade
Years and years ago, while simply looking at Google Earth or something, I remember seeing these two roads and hoping that locally the intersection is called something like 'The Ditch'. Of course I quickly noticed this geocache there and have wanted to find it ever since. A shade over 10km from home and two others here, you could be forgiven for calling me slow. Very slow indeed.
I also noticed I only have 3 madmyers geocaches left to find now - I might make a mission to finish them off soon - geocaches of such an age entertain me. So, this afternoon I made my way to the meeting of the grounded birds. Park and in we go. I never appreciated this was a named bushland reserve so took the time to read the signs on the way in.
The pathways are well maintained and after only a few minutes of walking I turned off the path and quickly made my way to the obvious GZ. A quick find for me then I realised I had some trades in the car. The logbook was signed, the geocache replaced and back to the car - lucky it's not too far. I also needed fresh batteries. Now, back to the geocache and for the first time in years, made a swap of trinkets.
Obviously no clue, but great to have found another from this series. I always enjoy finding a geocache that has been part of the game longer than I have. Now, off to the next few in here. Thanks for the geocache madmyers

Pleasant afternoon walk through another part of Redlands bush on a day when the wind is blowing and the temperature is cool. Found at 3.50 pm on 21st April 2016. TFTC.
A quick find to get the daily caching fix. This was easier than anticipated, even in late evening using a small headlamp. Probably because the container was partially exposed.
All is in great shape in the container and it's now covered a tiny bit more.
TFTC, Madmyers!

Well we certainly went the hard way for this one . If we had taken the path it would have been a nice easy walk lol . All is good here. TFTC
Out for a short Sunday walk to get some exercise and grabbed all the caches in this little conservation park. Easy to find cache.
Had grabbed some nearby caches a couple of months ago but had overlooked completing this one. With some more nearby ones completed today I took the opportunity to polish this one off. Parked at the end of the road and the local dogs soon made my presence know. Luckily no one was home to take any interest so over the fence and off to GZ. A quick find and back to the car where thankfully the dogs had finally lost interest. Tftc.
A nice easy run today of about 20 finds. The run was mainly a clean up run, going from location to location, picking up a few that I had not done in certain areas. Some great hides included in the mix. Appologies for the late logs, I have not been well of late, and am catching up.

I drove down kiwi st and it took me a few minutes to work out where I needed to head to, I don't know why maybe it was the heat. Anyway I found a park and headed up the track and was soon at GZ. Found cache without any trouble and soon had my name on the list.

We where supervising a Scout Blue Level Hike that started at Ford Rd. We had returned for the next day to see how the kids had done and to pick them up after there camp out.
This was a pleasant walk up and down to GZ. There was no Ground Birds today. The cache container is in great condition and it is surprising that the logbook still looks new for a cache published in 2007.
