Well....It took us a while to work out where this one was. We followed the hint - it was then we realised that the area here has been disturbed probably by the Council slashing and whippersnipping. We did find the remains of the cache all exposed to the weather. Madmyers may have to discontinue this one and relocate somewhere else. Shame!!
Took the opportunity to cache south of the river on a gorgeous clear winters day, chasing a few older ones, some newer ones, some up trees, and others that gave the grey matter a workout.
Find #11301 @ 11:00
Thanks madmyers for giving us a reason to visit.

Targeting the oldies on the way to Manly for fish n chips. This quaint little piece of bushland in the middle of suburbia. Surprised the area hadn't been stripped of firewood as it was laying around everywhere.
Luckily it didn;'t take too long to spot the hide for this one. Thanks madmyers for setting up this series.

Out today visiting a few caches. This was next on the list. After a wander around after I passed it once, twice, three times, I thought I had better look there. So glad I did. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks madmyers. All good with this cache.
The doc told me to have a few quiet days, so what better than to do a few caches. That’s #4 for today.
Cache contents are fairly wet. TNLN.
But log is bagged and still dry.

Out and about for a few olde time caches in lovely wilderness/urban areas. Like here. Nice bit of urban bushland, no issues apart from the incessantly yapping dogs along the way in - and out again. Why must you yap little ball of fur?
Thanks madmyers for entertaining me at this location.

Great spot! Plenty of wildlife (other than the geokids) TFTC byo ink. Pen a bit dodgy and mine too big to replace.
Parked on Swallow Street and made it to GZ on the leafy path.
A rabbit shot across into the bush at one point and some dogs that looked like rabbits barked at me at another point. Stood right on top of the cache when I got there but didn’t find it until 5 minutes later after doing a quick lap of the clearing around the tree.
TFTC!

Yay!! Quite a few fallen logs around but quick pick up from Peppa. Out with PirateLinda as well. TFTC
Friday must be gardening day... all the gardeners are out... this was a relatively quick find despite the best efforts of a local hound... PirateLinda got waylaid by a local on the way back to the car... Giraffe18 wouldn’t leave her behind... despite my protests of “just drive, just drive... she’s to slow...” apparently the neighbour knows there is “something” in there because of the people who come and scratch around...
The third caching trip for today.
This time I was joined by the better half, as driver and POD DJ.
Caching towards a stat goal for November, after this one I just need 206 more finds.
All god with this cache, an easy find
Thank you

Was out and about today and was interested in doing some caching today and discovered this oldie nearby. I drove to the way point of the industrial side of the bushland and walked towards GZ. At GZ the cache was soon discovered and was a bit smaller than I anticipated, thanks for the cache madmyers . TFTC!!!
Today caching with Patrol 14, Snickersallan, EchoCage, Hatzofff and RoddyC today in the bayside area. This was the next cache . Arrived at GZ and cache was soon found TFTC
Met up with Richmond Lad, patrol14, hatzofff, RoddyC and echocage1 to grab a few caches in the local area.
Nice neat hide and another quick find by the group.

We came across your cache, madmyers, on a geocaching day with hatzofff, Snickersallan, Richmond Lad and Patrol14.
On our way in the neighbour offered us a dozen or so Star Apple fruit from her tree. Fabulous!
Log signed and cache replaced at 11:30 AM on October 30, 2018. TFTC.

I believe that this is the last of the Bayside Spelling Bee caches that I will be able to log a find on which makes me sad. My first was "X" on my very first day of caching almost exactly three years ago and I found "J" the following day. Unfortunately, "X" has since been archived. It has obviously taken me a while to round the rest up but slow and steady wins the race. I have loved all of the locations of these caches and I only wish that I could have completed the series. In all, I found "E", "G", "H", "I", "J", "L", "O", "Q", "P", "X" and "Y". Of those, my favourite in the series has to be "O" because that was the one I found with my wife a couple of weeks ago where we had the privilege of being able to get up close and personal with a koala in the wild.
I wasn't sure on the best side to approach this cache from but I found a park nearby on Flamingo Cres and made a beeline for the cache. As I got nearer, I spotted a likely hide and quickly spotted the container in it. My GPSr still said 16m but may have settled down after I stopped. I forgot to check. After signing the log, I covered the container with a little more camo than it had when I found it and headed back to the car.
Thanks for the cache and the series.

It's always a pleasure to find these older ones. As I walked in here today a wallaby bounded across the path in front of me.
While I was searching among the she oaks for the cache I could hear the rumbling of trucks and other vehicles in the nearby industrial area. I hope we always have enough of these little pockets of bush to sustain our local fauna.
All well with this cache
Thanks for the placement and maintenance madmyers.

I was over this way for Xmas lunch at my SILs. Between lunch and lunch-desert I had a peak at the app to see if anything was nearby! This one was 149m from where I was sitting.. How could I not!! Kids were swimming, 30odd guests were happily drinking and laughing so I thought I'd sneak out the side gate and be so quick no one would notice! Just as I walked out my dad, and brother's partner (both from Sydney) asked if I was sneaking out for a geocache! They obviously know me well! they tagged along for their first find it was a quick find at GZ and sign of two logbooks then back to the party for some scrumptious Xmas deserts and wine Both muggles considering joining when they get back home
The cache is tucked away. Not sure if I signed the correct log, but our name is in the cache!
What a cool area. Log was a little wet so we put it in a bag. Left our mark and fairy dust. Thank you CO for placing. Cache is in good order
We came out to find some caches, but we have had more DNF's today than anything.

This is our last day in Brisbane, we are looking to find some puzzles that we worked out before & a few others not far from the caravan park where we are staying.
This took us on a nice tiki tour of the area. Have replace with a small log book. Took out the very wet & mushy older log books.
Thanks for placing this cache madmyers

This one was found a little out but that's all still good. Log sloppy and cache needs TLC other log paper signed tftc
Had a drive by one night and gave this one a miss. Back in the day time so an easy find. It was in the most logical place nothing like the hint gave. log is black with mould luckily some one has left a temporary log to sign. TFTC
cache find #1770. Out with forbiddenground today. Found a side street for parking, and ease of getting to the cache easier. The cache needs some TLC. Signed the temporary log sheet. TFTC.
Barking dogs alerted neighbour so a chat was enjoyed then on to GZ. Vegetation is presently very sparse so a quick find.
Recent rain hasn't improved the cache so left a temporary log sheet. Other caches placed in similar positions located today all bear the same wetness... TFTC

1/8/14 - nice easy find at the logical place. Another little bush area I knew nothin about. Quite strange sitting in the bush listening to trucks and heavy machinery. Log is very wet and not really useable. I tried (as per picture) but I don't think any other names are legible any more. New log needed. TFTC
Hahaha! Well it's 8:30pm and we are on this side of town to collect a Gumtree purchase. Can't drive past a cache! In we went without a torch. Surprisingly we made an easy find. Heading out we headed for the street lights and came out on a different street! Oh well, a better lit walk back to the car!
Great trek through the bush. Didn't see any horses or track. It was nighttime after a purchase of an item from Gumtree. Thought it appropriate to wander amongst some real gum trees.
Lots of logs of fallen trees but we found the right one and the container. Logbook is unusable as it is wet. Container was well hidden and container was in good condition but logbook sodden.
Picked the wrong street lights to head to and ended up in the wrong street. Just a short walk to the ute.
"I"es crossed off the list.

As much as this series may have fallen apart some time ago, I still tend towards finding what is left when I can. I enjoy finding geocaches that have been in the sport longer than I have. I was in this area and so made the unplanned detour from my plan for the day. I investigated a likely entry point but moved to a closer one to launch my approach from.
I'm not sure the area here gets used as much as it once did - but I think that is a good thing, it is looking quite natural at the moment and I even saw a goanna or some such sized lizard way up in the canopy while I headed for the cache. Once at GZ it was a quick find and as has been reported, the logbook is a sodden mess. I rehid as found and covered over a bit better, then headed for the car. Nice to have another letters in the Spelling Bee. TFTC madmyers

A sunny Sunday and I am heading out geocaching again.
I started the day around 0730. It is now almost 10 am and warming up fast.
A little bit of a walk to this but that is OK.
A quick find at GZ.
Thanks for the cache.

Found the log book is on need of repair, wet through . Good find thanks
Tracked this down at 10 pm as the cache of the day for the 31 Days of Caching in August challenge. Car park was easy, then heading off to the woodland.
There is no way you can avoid noise from fallen branches and stuff, so I caught the attention of all of the dogs in the neighbourghood.
At GZ, spotted the partially exposed container before the compass settled. Attempted to do the logbook business but there's no signing it anymore - it's completely soaked and unusable. Otherwise things are OK here.
TNLNCSL (...couldn't sign the log), but TFTC, madmyers!

Found this on a day outing when we had to go and pick up my husbands car from work only 450 m away. Did not leave log as log book was saturated. Maintenance needed ASAP. I must say we are a funny bunch of hunters ( searching for cache in flip flops) properly not a good idea. Lol
May not be in original location the second half if the clue helps but not the first half. And the log book is dripping wet.
Found it A quick find before going home after last job for the day. ****** Log book is very wet and needs replacing. ********
The MadMyers will be out and about in the next few days to replace the log book in this one.
Easy find, but alas the log book is very wet! Managed to embed my name on a page but it really needs to be replaced.
Noted the clue but not yet sure what it's to be used for
