Out today visiting a few old caches. A nice walk down the track and then down to GZ. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks madmyers. All good with this cache.
Easy find, Great for the kids! They didn’t like the resident huntsman though

Out and about for a few olde time caches in lovely wilderness/urban areas. Like here. Second attempt to find an entry way, through the moat and over the hill and in to the deforested forest - concerned? Nah, it's been like this for a while. No issues with this one.
Thanks madmyers for entertaining me at this location.

Nice easy find. First dug around an old stump, and then went over to the obvious stump. Fairly open placement.
Signed the log - dry.

I haven’t been out caching for more than a week, so it was nice to come out to some bushland this morning with Tilly the wonder dog. All is good here. The logbook has seen better days, but it’s currently nice and dry and easy to sign.TFTC
The log has certainly seen better days but it still manages to perform the functions of a log book...

When it comes to stumps, this one is pretty impressive.

Caching on a damp afternoon.
Set out to this one hoping the rain would ease but it didn’t. The wet actually made the surroundings quite nice. Found the decoy stump first and then spotted the actual stump up the hill.

Happy Leap Year.
Next stop on my leap day caching adventure today. It's been quite awhile since I've been out so I thought I'd make an effort for today. I was definitely surprised to find this one in good shape and in one piece.
Thanx again madmyers

Another surprising little pocket of bush in suburbia. Disturbed two kangaroos. Cache easy found. TFTC
Out and about on this beautiful Sunday for the surprise 7 day streak challenge . I have to say this one will be by far the most challenging for this weekend cacher, especially after clearing out my vicinity with the last challenge!! Lucky today we have all day lol . Once I found the right access point it was a lovely stroll to GZ. I saw a wallaby bound off in the distance. Looks like some recent tree felling to make a path of sorts. The old stump though stood out. Thanks for the fun find. 1/7 on the journey
A drive towards the bay after work today.
Picked up a few caches, thinning out the number of unfound ones in the area.
A quick find at the coordinates here
Thank you for hiding another one for me to find

Happy to be having a day off, so a plan was hatched to head to the bay area and find some long-ago solved puzzles, older or unloved hides, unusual types and DTs, along with any others that happened to be located along the way. An easy find here once out of sight of nearby houses.

The geowife and I headed out on this beautiful spring afternoon to find a couple of caches. This one has been on my radar for a while as it's a bit of an oldie and I have done most of the remnants of the series, the first one on my first day of caching three years ago.
After parking in a nearby street and walking in, the geowife spotted some movement which turned out to be a koala on the ground. I have only ever seen a koala in the wild once before, and that was about 20m up and completely inert. So, it was a real treat to see this guy scramble up into a tree and sit for a while pondering us as we cautiously approached. When we got too close he leapt from one tree to the next and scrambled a bit higher where he stayed while we searched for the cache only metres away.
Oh yeah, the cache. Well I searched around the obvious hide before moving further afield. Then the geowife said "there it is" back where I'd been looking. Log signed and some extra swag added, we moved on but not before having another look at our cuddly friend.
Thanks for the cache and koala sighting

Right at GZ, how cool is that!
Follow hint and you can't go wrong. I've been enjoying these older caches I've been targeting over the last few weeks.
Signed log and added a couple of cute erasers.

Parked in Kaloma Court, walked the path, then it was a short bush walk to GZ. The logbook has seen some better days but at least it’s now dry and signable. Dropped in a basketball game as swag . TFTC madmyers
I just finished watching a movie at capalaba with a friend and needed my cache of the day - his was not a good choice after a horror flick.. I have never moved so fast in and out of a cache site!! Happy for a quick find and no horror movie sequels in here
I parked in a nearby street and came in via an access path between some houses, which seemed like the closest access point (it was) when looking at the map
I set of all the local dogs barking as I walked in
My GPSr was refusing to settle here this morning, but the cache container was located at the most obvious spot thank goodness
The log book was extracted and dutifully signed and dated [^] Then cache returned to hiding spot all ready for the next geocacher to trek in here and find it for themselves [8d]

My 2nd cache in Australia, exciting! Saw few wallabies and spiders on the way. Catche was easy to find, logbook is damp, so maybe needs checking. Signed by Bhoomi and the gang, thanks for the cache!

I don't think this park sees many visitors, as the trails are not so worn. Still, someone hangs around here as there is a bit of a setup further away from the gz
Out walking with the dish licker. Thought I'd tick another nearby cache off of the list. If you do go looking for this one: don't forget the auragard. Thank you bobpike for the new container
I have taken the liberty of providing a new container for this cache. Even though the log book is a little the worse for wear, I left it there for historical reasons.
This is a good one for first timers so is worth keeping

Such a shame no-one is interested in it's maintenance.
Only the cache lid & log are now on location.
Maintenance or archiving is needed as this hasn't seen any improvement since the photograph taken back in January 2015.

We were out and about caching with others from the Northside Puzzle Group, mostly to find puzzle caches but picking up a few traditionals along the way. After a short walk from where we parked the cars, the search began and it didn't take long before the cache was found and the log signed. Thank you for having placed the cache madmyers

I was spending the day doing one of my favourite things, Caching with Captain Terror. Today we were grabbing a few caches in the Bayside area and this cache was the next one on our list. We headed up through the school zone and realised it was 2:50. The car park at the water tower was almost full but the Captain managed to find a park for the Subaru.
We hopped out and headed down the path next to the houses towards GZ. We were following a path until we realised the bush was almost as clear as the path and that way we could walk in a straight line. Soon we were at GZ and the Captain was pulling out the container. It is working remarkably well for a temporary container. We signed the logbook and headed back to the car. Thanks for the cache madmyers.

I wonder how many of this Bayside Spelling Bee Series I have done over the years? I only wish I was more active back when it was active as a whole. I am, however, happy to continue finding them as is today as it is a series of great little geocaches.
Net88 and I had slapped this one on our 'to-do' list for today and it was up next. We had timed our visit just before the school released its' kids. We parked nearby, went through the gate and followed the track. The she-oak type trees clattered loudly above in the wind as we headed down the hill towards the old stump.
With a quick look in the likely spot, the geocache was found. It is still a yoghurt container and we had noted this in the logs. Despite bringing along a replacement geocache container, we decided the existing one was quite decent for now - it may need attention at a later date though. The logbook was dry inside although after signing it, we graced it with a new baggie to keep it dry. Ah yes, the original container lid is still there too and provides a little camouflage when rehidden.
We headed back up the deserted path and back to the car - a few young folk now appearing about the place - nice timing! TFTC madmyers

Out for a caching run on Anzac Day and stopped in on this one along the way. On the way to GZ I passed a house that was having a burn off of sticks and leaves in the back yard - I thought that had been banned back when I was a kid. Only a short search once at GZ and I had the cache to hand. Tftc.
As per previous logs only lid and log remain. Both dry, signed log, placed in Yoghurt container (MT of course!), as a temporary measure. Carefully replaced then back towards the barking watchdogs...TFTC
I had followed the logs of this cache for quite a few months. It was on my list earlier but decided to skip to back then due to its issues. Today I was in the area and wanted to grab this, as well, as it's apparently still there.
Somehow I was expecting more of a park-like setting but this dense but very dry growth provides certainly some protection to the cache. Not too many people would be loitering around here on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Found the remnants of the cache easily. When earmarking this for my trip today I realised I need to replenish my supply of containers - not for my own hides but to be able to maintain these older local caches. Let's see if I manage to get something in place for this one in the new year, though it probably will be smaller than the listed size.
The logbook is damp but usable. It's done remarkably well, given it's been there for nearly seven years.
TFTC, madmyers!

A sunny Sunday and I am heading out geocaching again.
I started the day around 0730. It is now just after 9am.
I parked in the side street and walked straight to the cache.
Like others, I found just the lid and note book in a zip bag.
It would be great if someone brought a new container.
Thanks for the cache.

Found the lid of a container and log book,so put the book in its zip lock bag and under the lid,not great, but still there.TFTC.
Someone has ruined this one. All i found was the lid and a notepad full of water, wasn't even hidden. Stupid muggles!
Was surprised to find this one sitting pretty much out in the open, and in really good nick, considering how long since the last find, and the weather we have had. Anyway push it back in under the cover and off I go.
