We are attempting to alter this cache so that it is no longer the final in our series - as we have had to disband the series due to a major computer meltdown at our house. We are attempting to turn it into another type of cache - fingers crossed - will see what happens.
found this after nearing the completion of the bayside spelling bee with 80series1990. Too bad some have been muggled and have seemed to have dissappeared. after reading some other logs and thinking outside the square we were able to come up with the goods. it was quite exciting to be the ones to find it considering it hasn't been found for a year!! Thanks for the series will complete your other caches now too.
Found with caseylee86 doing the bayside spelling bee. We stood around stratching our heads for a bit but then we thought back to a few other madmyers caches and bam! We loved the cache, great hide yet so simple for the size of the cache. Thanks for the challenge and TFTC.
The only down side is the cache was 3/4 full if water. Log book will definatley need replacing along with a few swaps. We tried to dry it out as best we could. Didn't sign log book.
Cheers

TheMads visited this cache today and everything is fine. Log Book replaced - cache wiped out and dried out - trading items replaced with new ones. Cache is sitting waiting for someone to come and find it again. Happy caching!
Thought this would be a good cache to fill two milestones...
1. Finish off the bayside Spelling Bee Series; and
2. Use this cache to fill a requirement of the GeosportZ Geocaching game (17. Marathon - find a cache that has not been found in more than 180 days - last found log for this one was 18/08/2007 - just under twelve months ago).
Upon arriving at the GZ we thought we were going to be in for a DNF as there is evidence a relatively recent(??) fires in the area, however after about 10-15 minutes of searching we found what we were looking for. Good hide for such a large container.
The only dissapointment with this one is that the cache was 3/4 full of water when we opened it up and everything was literally just floating around. We emptied all the water and dried things as best we could, but some serious maintenace is definitely needed on this one. The log book was 100% totally soaked through, so we didn't even think about trying to sign it (left our sticker and sig card in a separate cliplock bag).
Thanks for the hunt madmyers and this great series. We really enjoyed hunting them all down.
Cheers,
Ksix

Yes, after four months and three days, I have found GZ in the Bayside Spelling Bee. I started at "E" and came here by a circuitous route to be sure. I am still to find "S" as it appears to be M.I.A. but I shall endeavour to persevere and will visit that cache A.S.A.P.
On a cool, overcast day, I found the cache and decided to have smoko there. Then, I thought I should sit between those trees for a while and start my new library book. It really is a lovely spot. Anyhow, I didn't get very far as I nodded off. I really did. Woke with a start when a couple of cyclists went by yelling encouragement to each other. The photo is a set-up, but I guess that's what I looked like.
Left a skateboard and a watch/key chain (it needs a new battery)
Took the Australia Adventurer 2007 #1 geocoin.

Finally!! After 6 months of gradually finding all the caches in the series, it came down to this.
A pleasant walk in the bush to find the treasure that I had been dreaming about. Took a few minutes searching to locate the sneeky hide and with anticipation I opened the lid to find a trove of spleandour.
However I only took the lonely TB but left one of my 2007 Aussie Geocoins to start its journey of discovery.

We had a ball doing this series the effort you put in is amazing.
This cache is great (log book a bit damp but OK )

It was starting to get dark when we set off for this one but that didn't deter us. After all those weeks of hard slog getting everything else in the series we couldn't give up right at the end!
Found after a bit of a search. Was quite well hidden. Looked in that area a couple of times before suddently realising there was a cache there. Interesting container.
Enjoyed the series immensely and felt a real achievement finishing it. TFTC!

Yippee! series is finished and we loved every one. Thanks to Mm's for the great adventure. This last one took us two attempts and some help from Dosphoenix to find. We are sure we walked over it a dozen times on the first attempt. Love the container. Took nothng and left nothing on this occassion.
I was almost disappointed at finding this one. Only because it meant that there were none left to find in this great series. Thanks madmyers for a fantastic series. I thoroughly enjoyed finding them all apart from the hairy caterpillar incident at R. Unfortunately, there was some water in the container. Most of the stuff inside was pretty good but it does need a bit of waterproofing. Took Jumping medicine ball. Left torch. TFTC.

Accompanied by Everlasting, I would never have found it if Everlasting had not explain to me about her own geo experience of finding all the caches' tricks! Oh dear, water got in and all the items were soaking wet. EL made a good job of getting rid of all drops.
EL and I had good fun of solving this hunt..many thanks.

Found the cache with accompany Ozcymru. Love your cache so much. Unfortunate cache was full of water so I cleaned up and put it back into the container. No swap. Thank you for your organise the wonderful cache and hunt. I am real enjoyed myself. Again Thank you.
Zany hide for this the grand finale. Loved the whole thing - thanks heaps - this one really appealed to Flowerpot and Marshmellow.

What a very good hide. Search for ages and was concerned that I had stuffed up the decoding puzzles. But no I didn't and pulled the cache from its hiding hole.
To the Madmyers you are legends. This series has been awesome and 1 of the very best we have completed. We all look forward to hopefully another series of pure bliss from you guys.
Thanks again

Ahh... what a great spot for a cache and what a great way to hide it! Congratulations to the madmyers not just for this cache, but for the entire series, which is just fantastic! The quality of the locations, the hides, the containers and the swaps is just something to marvel out.
At this particular location I was scratching my head for a while before one of the kids discovered the cache. Thanks!
This cache features on a video blog we did on the day that is available from http://tgfblogged.blogspot.com/2007/01/australia-day-caching.html

Zebras go zig-zag, z, z, z.
YAY! We made it!
Oooooh! What a clever hide MadMyers! [^] Our second ever find was here in this same piece of bushland and here we were on our 560th find!
We've thoroughly enjoyed the series and we're inspired to get a wriggle on with our caching!
Lots of swaps at this large cache!
IN : an octopus toy, some stickers and a lightbulb gak.
OUT: a kazoo, a keyring and a skipping rope.
Thanks MadMyers. You are a big part of the reason that geocaching is so strong in the Bayside. Go you good things!

Fourth to find! Z is for Zippidy Do Da, my oh my it's a wonderful day. Had a fantastic day today. After finding 8 yesterday, I decided to see how I would go today. With Mr Dosphoenix riding his geocycle with bergerarmy in the Daisy Hill Forest area, I thought there might be a chance I could meet up with them as I knew I would end up there. I was only about 4 hours late but hey, they could have waited! What a wonderful tour of the bayside. Every cache was easily found (except D for difficult to find, don't know why I couldn't see that one, eventually snared it) and in a wonderful little park or a great piece of bushland. I found my first cache at 8:05am and this, the last at 3:30pm. I stopped for a quick bite at a bakery in Alex Hills and to decode my clues and also diverted in the Emu Street Preserve after finding "G" to find the two other caches in that great piece of bush. In fact one of those caches was our 300th find. This, Z, is our 305th. Thanks for a great day out MadMyers, you have outdone yourselves! (oh and TNLN ... you almost had me for a while there, I kept going back and forth between the two logs!).

After completing the whole series with my mum, I am pleased to say that this is my first official find as THE CHUNKY MONKEY. I took a really colourful skipping rope and left a torch/clock.

I ROFL at its clever hide!

There are some great locations and we had a ball.

aaaaargh! after gettin' 14 first to plunders! on ye' first 'nite, had to wait 2 days before tacklin' this again, already worked out where final booty was hidden that 'nite, decieded to be a good pirate for once and go visit ye' rest of caches before plunderin' final booty! after lookin' in logs i was workin' out who could be still in race in final few caches, my suspusions were confirmed at gz booty! a big thank you to the 'mad as the wheel ye' myers' for a fantastic series and some clever hides!,yet again you 'ave made a great series!,oh by ye' way,at pirate schooll Z is for 'ZZZZZZLEEP'!
Spy Guy was in charge of decripting the codes and had worked out Z earlier in the morning BUT we wouldn't dare risk the chance to claim the FTF prize without visiting all the other caches first. Finally as we approached nothing appeared disturbed which was in our favour. A little rest near GZ and the cache exposed itself. Finally the FTF prize was ours. Thanks to the M for madmyres for a F for fantasic series. The T for thought you have put into this is U for unreal. M for magnificant.I must add our son who claims he doesn't enjoy geocaching had a ball finding the clues and decripting the codes.A funfilled couple of days thanks.
It's ok after logging 25 brain had gone mushy! I have added the coords for the cache site as an additional way point. So you can look at them and so can I but everyone else can't. That way you can check the position of the coords for this cache. I think that was right!
Brain is really mushy after that many caches submitted. I have now remembered how to drop off more than one travel bug. I dropped these into this cache to start it off.
