TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Walking the coast south a nice diversion.
Fishing trip to Bermagui for a few days, wind was bad today so we couldn't get out. Naturally I went geocaching instead. Whilst the nearby fires are under control with the recent rain I still kept clear of the area and decided to head back to Bega/Tathra for a few unfinished caches. Last one for the day, and a epic one at that. Drove in along the bumpy track - spotted an echidna along the way. Once at GZ sat and appreciated the view for a while before looking for the cache. Found in good order. Time to head home. TFTC! FP awarded.
My wife wanted to come here as we assumed there was a Winky lighthouse. After the rough drive down, we were rewarded with magnificent views, cliff jumpers and accurate coordinates. But, no lighthouse!?!TFTC.

If you’re going to ride a bike through this path, make sure to go slowly around the big puddles! Went on this journey with Earthlyholiness. Below are some pictures of the aftermath of our big crash.
Found while walking the wharf to wharf walk, from Tathra to merimbula, took all day but I still had time to find caches along the way.
This cache location was spectacular, with views to die for (literally), loving it. Tftc

Down for a short hike and overnight camp on the coastal walk to Wallagoot Lake. Taking the Friday off work, we made the afternoon falk past the cache, unfortunately not having the time to stop for a look. Came back through and had lunch near GZ on Saturday to make the speedy find. Container is in desperate need of some TLC, a new 200mL sistemea, clip lock bag and logbook are needed if the next finder can please bring one. TFTC!!!
I'm an Aussie living in Japan. Today I"m back visiting and staying with family in the area, My Granny used to live in Kalaru and I always enjoyed bushwalking around the area. Today I went bushwalking in the area for the first time in about 30 years so it was very enjoyable to do it. This time with the extra joys of geocaching. I went for a 9 hour walk and this was my 10th cache of the day Even though I only cache with paper maps and no phone or GPS, I was still able to find the bugger, however took a while for I wasn't sure where to go. Once I spotted a likely spot, I climbed down and I was right. As a kid and teenager, I often walked the trails here and always enjoyed it. Now that I"m 20 years older since the last time I did it, it took a lot longer with aching knees. TFTC.
I visited the South Coast for an Omnia camping weekend at Bournda National Park and picked up a couple of geocaches on the way. This one was a reasonably straightforward finds, being within a few metres of the coordinates. I picked it up while walking from the campsite at Hobart Beach into Tathra for dinner, enjoying the rugged coastal scenery on the way. Thank you MSMACKA for installing and maintaining this cache.
Found along the coastal walk from Wallagoot lake to Tarthra. Started early from the lake and made our way up the coast through the tea tree bush. Very pretty. The walk had a fair amount of ups and downs in it as you make your way in and out of the gullies and little bays. The track is well maintained and was well worth the effort. Cache found after a little rock scramble in good condition. Not sure i put my log in order as the log pages are a bit jumbled.
Thanks for the enjoyable cache.

#181 What a great location, I doubt a 2WD would make it currently, take care. Fav point from me. TFTC MSMACKA
Well worth the drive to this cache. Truly a magnificent spot. TFTC and for getting us there.
We initially had a problem with finding the start of the White Rocks Road and Mr Geo was more than happy to give this one a miss but I had read the logs and really wanted to get out here. After driving around for a bit we settled on turning up the track where there is a shrine with lots of flowers around it just beside the Bega Tathra Road. Pretty easy driving in the Pathfinder. Some cars that are lower slung may have a problem with the mounds that cross the road. Did however leave the car about 160m from GZ and walked the rest of the way. As we walked the track we realised that we could actually have driven right down to the top of the rocks but the walk did us good after sitting in the car for so long. Fabulous views and the colours of the water and rocks was well worth the slow drive. Took photos to show the family. Finding the cache was faster than the drive and it is all in good order. Signed the log then walked back up to the car. Driving back up the road is much easier. Thanks for bringing us out here MSMACKA. Kutgw
Found 28/4/16 @ 4:07 pm.
This place is spectacular. As others have said before, this has been the highloght of our trip so far. I seriously doubt its going to get better than this.
Anyway, now I've got that out of my system, here's our novel.
Having been staying at Eden for the last week or so we decided today to head up to Bega and back via Tathra (to see the huge stingrays). I had previously marked this cache as one to do on the way back and saved it for offline use. Glad I did as none of us (3) had any phone service.
We walked around a bit and came up 4m short of GZ. Hmm, thats not right...
Take two. Mum and I were hunting around in the bushes, like good geocachers do, and I hear a screach - SNAKE!
"Just leave it alone, it'll be minding its own business".
Well that was exciting but despite the dirty looks I was getting from mum, I persevered and found the cache.
Now, for a quick look at the snake. After having a good (careful) look, I decided it was most likely a diamond python which are not venomous. He was a big fella though, easily as thick as my wrist, so I'd estimate he'd be 5ft long at least.
I didn't realise Diamond Pythons were naturally occurring in Aus, but according to Google, they are. I've attached a dodgy photo we took of the snake - mum took it and she's frightened of them so it's not the best.
It was 22° today, PLEASE be careful of snakes around here as they're obviously about.
Thanks MSMACKA for bringing us to this spectacular spot. Favorite for us

Took us a little while to find this one. Awesome spot , jumped off the cliff into the inlet while there. Not for the faint of heart, the jump that is!
This one had us going. Though it was under the tree that recently fell over. Found by another Geokid. Took pinocchio, left swaps and other goodies. SL. TFTC.
Found with our friends JeremyFlathead while we were on a camping holiday nearby. Fantastic spot to visit. Loved the drive in, though a car with clearance is required, was no problem in our Landcruiser, but our Holden Commodore would not have made it. The geoteens signed the log for us. We then stayed for ages while we took lots of photos. TFTC
On a short holiday at Bermagui with a couple of nights in Merimbula on the way home. Great weather and great caches. Great views

This is why we love geocaching. It takes you to the most amazing places. WOW!!! TFTC
Not sure that I would have taken the geo-falcon down here. I think there were a few spots where it might have bottomed out. But the geo-forester had no such issue, it had no problems getting to the end of the road. Walked down to the cache site and enjoyed the waves coming in whilst the birds flew around on the updrafts.
Great spot. Thanks for bringing me here.

An absolutely stunning location.
After logging the easily found cache, we watched, took lots of photos & watched some more. As Webguy said, it would have to be one of the highlights of this trip.
Thanks.

Thanks.
This was one of the highlights of the trip, a potential tourist attraction if things were upgraded a bit, reminded me of Lochard Gorge in SA. A quick find then photo taking time. Stunning spot.
Great spot - we detoured down here for lunch and are glad we did, the cache being a bonus. After a bacon and egg Turkish bread sandwich it was time to pack up and head onwards! TFTC
Wow! Firstly, kudos to any one who did this drive in a 2wd! Secondly, Wow! Its mesmerising, just watching the water, rushing in, and then out, and around. Then a massive wave comes in. Although, I do get slightly uncomfortable with so much white water... a weird phobia I have. Thanks for showing us this amazing spot.
Couldn't see it, but the view is amazing so worth the drive, made it fine in our ford focus
Interesting drive at a slow pace but well worth it once arriving at White Rocks. Who needs to go to Greece when it is all here. Stunning hues and spectacular coastline. TFTC
Took the Lancer right up to the last 100m slowly, slowly, carefully. It was Mid July and not wet. Fantastic views. Collected rubbish
Drove all the way to the end of the road in my softroader... Loved it! Ands to the fun. But after that, the cache location was stunning! So a favourite point from me! Came down to this wonderful corner of Australia to pick up my daughter who was staying with some friends for a couple of days! So why not find a few geocaches whilst I’m here hey! Thanks heaps MSMACKA.
Awesome cache! I had a ball driving in and out, it was my kind of fun. The track not very rough either, most cars with a bit of clearance would be fine, anything bigger like a soft-roader or a 4wd will have no problems at all. The only part of the track that is a bit slow going is the last 100m where the water has eaten away, the rest of it is pretty good and parts can be taken at decent speed (<60km/h), if you're into that.
I must have spent an hour or so exploring around here. I tried to get down the the water but gave up bush bashing when I started raining. There is a walking track to the NW of the cache but it doesn't seem to lead down to the water. If you don't mind bashing it should be pretty easy to get down there but be careful, lots of loose earth.
The log papers were totally full and kind of... dank(?) not wet or damp though, the pencil was also broken. I found some paper to add and fixed up the pencil with my knife
Thanks for the cache!

This cache is all about the experience of getting there, humby, bumby , dusty, windy road, lots of fallen tree by the sides of the road, lot of wild life along the way. Im just glad I didnt have to drive the car here. At GZ the landscape was impressive, however the seas a bit scary for me to so swimming in. Cache soon located and dutied done. Needs a new log book ,we didnt have a spare. Thanks for a fun hair raising expierience.
We worked very hard for this cache. We took the Ford Falcon carefully along the track - lots of humps and bumps. I had to move lots of small trees of the track. After driving in about 3 kilometres we came across a huge tree across the track with One Kilometre to go. 4WD's had driven around but we couldn't go that way. About 40 minutes later I had cleared enough of a space to slip the car through (just) almost scraping the sides. Boy that was hard work. I had to smash the end off the tree as I just couldn't move that last bit. If you see it you will appreciate the effort that has gone in. I would love to snorkel around the cache area in summer (on a still day - how do I get in the water?)
Great spot for a drive and autumn afternoon. We have a beautiful coastline and lucky enough to be able to have access to it. TN LN

We took the fourby along the track until we came to a sign that said "Area Closed". We weren't game to drive past and risk geting bogged, or worse. (Something to do with the recent downpours.) Neither were we prepared to hike 2.9km in the rain, so we drove around the circle and headed back to the highway.
Thanks MSMACKA for the experience.

Found today. When I saw the photos at this one last year I had to come. But it took us until this years holiday in Merimbula to get around to it. The drive in was fun, dusty but fun. Might be interesting if wet?? Had to pull a tree off the road to keep going.
I was not disappointed. What a great spot. Thank you for bringing us here. Gets a favourite point. I had no swaps as I didn't think there would be any in a park? but just had to have the Penny. Sorry, I will return again one day and drop something in. I had a TB that needs to get to Bermagui, his would have been a perfect spot

My favourtie cache of the day. I love these hidden gems. I think the whole family really enjoyed it to. I only have a 2WD, but my clearance is that of a 4WD so the track wasn't a problem, but it was still quite slow averahing about 20km/h. Once at GZ I searched high and then low and was rewarded.
Thanks MSMACKA.

Found with Belinda, Jack, Chloe, Mia, Tracy & Brian (who was a little afraid of the cliffs & big waves)
Too hard for us or something wrong with the GPS?Tried about 20 minutes but weren´t successful. The view itself was the drive worth. Thanks MSMACKA.
love this spot, hadn't visited the area for years. Saw a large pod of dolphins making the most of the waves. T fish eraser L Qld woolshed bookmark

Staying in Minmosa National Park we decided to get out and go for a drive. Loved the track luckily the territory was up for it. The views were brilliant from here. Found the cache fairly easily and then started out on the walking track which was quite popular today. Saw an interesting snake on the track. Not sure what it was but it was tiny about 15cm long with a black body and a yellow spot on the back of it's head. We left it alone and it left us alone although it didn't seem afraid of us it just crawled straight across the path in front of us. TFTC
the veiw from the top of the cliff is great, we watched the sea push in to the cove below the cache for some time. The memorial at the start off the track into the cove is very sad.( not a part of the cache). TFTC TNLN
Interesting drive in! If you have low ground clearance, you can forget it until it next graded. The cache was an easy find in a top spot. The weather was poor, but the sea was majestic.
Wow! Quite a trip into GZ for this one - clearance is the key for your vehicle to make it to the end.
The scenery at GZ was spectacular, but the iPhone had me further down the cliff towards the water than necessary, so this find took me 30 mins to solve. I was happy to sign the log, admire the travel slug (that's a new one!), and head back to the main road. Stopped and read the memorial at the trail entrance to the 2 wee girls abducted and murdered from here 13 years ago...a sad and sobering end to a fine cache.

Found on visit to the parentals house for Christmas. This cache brought back lots of memories of fishing and snorkeling (when the ocean is calmer than it was today) here with dad when I was a kid. TFTC and the trip down memory lane!
Tricky one to find but a beautiful spot. The turn off has no name on the main road so look for Kianniny sign coming from south and you will be fine.

Yeah !! 2WD will get you too this cache OK.
But it's the ground clearance that you may need.
This tracks got some large speed humps along it
It's not far though, but still worth the detour to see some of the rugged coast around here without the fringing reef of houses and holiday homes
I was mesmerised for a while watching the swells surge in and out of the gorge below GZ
No seals seen today, but I did see a cache that is happy in it's little hidey hole

Dear geocachers!
If you are planning to visit this cache, I have a request for you...
I have a close friend nearby, that I haven't seen since we left Kathmandu over 17 years ago. I'm danish - she's Australian. We are now in contact, and I've sugested her to visit this cache - just gave her a discription by sms. She's not a geocacher, no GPS or internet at the moment. I would be so happy if you could leave her a message from me and somehow bring us together at this beautiful place.
Put a note in the cache, saying:
"Hi Carrie, enjoy the view! xxx Claus"
Thanks in advance!!!

Last cache of the day and located at 2.55pm. What a spectacular place - we would never have visited it BC (before caching). Took frog & left soldier. TFTC
You see, this is what we love about caching – ending up in places we wouldn’t ordinarily know was there. We wouldn’t recommend this drive for most 2WD’s. We only just made it in the Sportswagon and our muffler met a sticky end with a breach n’ bar. (It was sick anyway). Fantastic view. The Pink Princess slept on in the car whilst T & S & Muggle Shaggs tried to make sure Little DragonFoot didn’t find his way quickly to the water.

After dropping the wives and kids at Magic Mountain, EuDes & I headed north to attempt this one. The Suby successfully navigated the 4km of dirt track and we were rewarded with a magnificent bit of coastline on a beautiful, sunny day. A short but adventurous walk to the GZ revealed a slightly suspicious natural formation and the cache was recovered at 15:00. We signed the log (TNLN) and admired the crashing surf and swell far below us.
A ripper spot - many thanks to MSMACKA.

With the girls all doing the Magic Mountain thing, s and I headed here in the GeoSube thinking that we were sure glad we were in an AWD (although I still reckon that the GeoCamira would have made it fine ). What an absolutely sensational spot and it must look even better with raging seas. The cache was a nice easy find at 15:00.

Visited on a glorious day.Great cache. I woundnt take a 2 weel drive there at the moment as its VERY rough and washed out. When we were leaving a couple rocked up with fishing rods and esky. They were told it was a great spot to fish. They Left Kianinny bay at 11am and walked there along the coast. They got to white rocks at 3pm. Had to drive them back to pick there car up. Woudnt want to be the person who told them it was ok to walk there.THEY wernt happy. lol
Visited with suptagw. Splendid view of the ocean some beautiful rocks. Overall great first cache, only just heard about geocaching.
First ever geocache find and a terrific one to start with.
Saw several beautiful sea eagles , dolphins and almost caught the biggest fish anyone in our family has ever hooked.
Magic spot that even we locals had not been to before.
Good challenge but not to difficult.
Took beads and fish eraser and left gem stones and wisdom.

After driving past the turnoff once managed to find the rough road to the cache, the Outback made it down without too many dramas. Despite the gloomy weather was still impressed with GZ, a really beautiful spot with large waves splashing about. Found after a bit of a hunt. Thanks for a terrific cache!
Husband enjoyed driving down the track in the Camry. The final spot was well worth the drive. Loved the deep green/blue hole, thought it was beautiful here, and the man was tempted enough to have a swim. There were no swaps in the cache, so we signed the log and left a fish eraser, and a bead kit. Thanks for showing us this gorgeous place.

Found late in the day on the way to Eden. The track was no trouble for my UAV - I even engaged 4WD on the way back. Had to drag a small tree out of the way so my good deed. The seas were very rough & after the rain, the track was muddy. A spectacular spot with the seas adjacent to the cache foaming & crashing about. Thank you.
One of the best caches we've done on our south coast jaunt. Not being locals it took us a little time to locate the access track - after that it was all straightforward. The cache location was an outstanding site and we spent some time exploring the rocky headland and watching the lively sea. Highlight however was the seal we espied on the rocks below. We were able to get reasonably close before he opted to take to the water. Great spot!!
I gotta stop taking the family sedan on these tracks! Its now making some horrible squeaking noises
Well worth the drive though.....I wouldn't want to take a wheelchair down there.

Nice n Easy with the 2WD car, went over some of the draim humps at an angle, and made it quite easily with just the one tiny scrape underneath, not repeated on the way back. All for - a magnificent location at the end, nice to just sit and look. TFTC.
First find of the day and spectacular views. I could have sat and just looked at the views for hours, except there were more caches to be found.
Not sure I would take a 2W drive car to this one.
Almost lost the GPS as I steppped on a rock that moved and fell.... Fortunately I wasn't to close to the edge or the GPS wouldn't have been the only thing that would have gone over....Ouch!
