The area around the original hide no longer supports a reasonable cache. The park is still crying out for a cache and I enjoyed bringing people to Private Clark's memorial. I hope someone else takes over the site.
Private Clark has gone. I think another cacher should be able to take over the spot as I think it’s time for him to retire. Does anyone want to take it over? I think a new hidey spot might be in order as the park has changed over the past few years which means a new equation is required.
It was nice to come and see this plaque dedicated to Private Clark.
We collected the numbers, and then walked up a small hill through the park to a few likely looking places for GZ. Despite a fairly reasonable search, no luck for us here today.
Thanks for the multi and history.

Awesome little multi to end my day of caching. I have paid my respects to Private Andrew Clark whilst here. I feel someone may have moved the cache as my final co-ordinates are slightly out if my calculations were correct. South is accurate, however East bearings are roughly 10-12 metres off course. TFTC 'dosphoenix'.
This is the second time I've searched for Private Clark. The details are interesting and easily found. The final resting spot for the cache not so. My last search resulted in a wasp sting or two and a wasp smudge on the sunnies.
This time the search area was broadened and I stumbled on the hiding spot. Good to finally turn this multi into a smiley. Thanks for bringing a bit of history into the game Dosphoenix.

Always appreciate a multi that honours our fallen heroes . We gathered the info but unsure on our answers. We were a fair way off but scouting the trees eventually came up with the cache about 20 m away!!!!
Was over this end of town for lunch today, so looked for a quick multi to do. Had some confusion about exactly what number to add for the year, but what I tried looked good on the map. A quick wander and the geocache was soon in hand. TFTC!
Out for a couple of caches tonight. Had been too many traditional caches lately so I went for this multi.
Was not sure of how to calculate the year but the second try looked good on the map and I did score a find
Thanks for the cache

A simple and easy multi after failing another multi in the area. Thanks dosphoenix for the multi and remembering our heros.
Woohoo! We love us a DNF conversion . Coming back to search in daylight was definitely much easier, especially as our final coordinates actually had us looking in the wrong patch, but a previous finder’s photo helped us find the correct search area and the good-sized container was soon uncovered. SLTN, but left an army man for swag. TFTC Dosphoenix.
Out for a few hours of caching with RoddyC. After checking out the very well maintained plaque & tree in honour of Private Clark we did our calculations & set off to GZ. We were initially searching in the wrong spot but soon corrected ourselves & made a quick find of a quite exposed cache. Once the signing duty was done we replaced with a bit more camo.
Thanks for the fun little multi Dosphoenix

We came across your cache, Dosphoenix, on a caching day with KerryMg.
Gathered the info, did the sums, took the walk, made the find. That about sums it up, sir.

Enjoyed this multi - the memorial is well maintained and the answers unambiguous. Once I had the required info I headed off to GZ where the find was made quickly. TFTC.
Had passed here many times before and thought I'll stop one day and do the multi here and today was finally that day. On the way to a quick catchup with a friend so thought I could at least stop and get some pics of the info and crunch the numbers another time. Around a century has passed since this man was killed and it was heartwarming to see recent tokens of remembrance at this memorial.
Returned home this way after seeing my friend and pulled up a side street to do some calculations. Had something that looked plausible. Troddled off to see if I was backing a winner and in no time at all I was signing my name on the log. Replaced as found and went on my busy way again. TFTC Dosphoenix, all good here.

Tried to give this a whirl tonight, thinking it would be a simple multi for us, but we came up empty handed...We think our solution’s correct and the GZ we reached showed to be similar to GZ images taken by those before us, but we think the dark of night is preventing us from spotting it. Will need to come back another time for a redo/attempt.
6/6 multi for the day! I ended up taking a time out here to just sit and ponder on the Hill. I also had to play with the numbers, but it was just so nice in the shade with the breeze blowing. My second set of numbers gave me the goods.
One of the closest to my house and finally got around to doing it! Needed a quick recheck of my numbers after a while of searching and came up with some others nearby which proved successful! Thanks for the cache
Huzzah! I can finally put a big yellow smiley face here once and for all. After having terrible luck in newfarm with multis, then more difficulty at kangaroo point, and again at southbank, i decided enough was enough and home i will pedal. (It is 32° and ima on a pushbike, albeit electric)
Nearing home got me to thinking, oh yeah there was the matter of private clark and his garden gawking, but i have new coords!
And what a strange gz it did end up to be.
Oh well, glad to put this one in the solved pile.
Thanks for educating us on multis and recent history.
Find number 694.

Souvenir on offer vs possible very dangerous storm approaching . No brainer which I chose! Tftc
At last I have been able to log this one, my maths have failed me miserably so I've been back a few times. I searched not using the correct co -ords and was lucky to spy it partly exposed. The log was a sodden mess and all slimy but I did the best to sign and not put big holes in log and not touch the log with my hands. Tipped out the water and replaced where found then back to work out the correct co -ords. Thank goodness it is now a Smilie. TFTC
Finding the plaque was fun and easy, then gz is.. er.. there? Why, when theres so many more spots nearby. Mebe my cals wrong. *scratches head*
Getting the info was easy enough. However once reaching GZ, which seemed a logical place I started second guessing myselfwhen a quick search came up with nothinh. Proceed to recalculate taking me to a different section of vegetation. After no luck there I went back to first location where I spotted it. These guys weren't very happy to be disturbed though.
Maybe I'm out and about enjoying the sunshine or maybe I'm avoiding chores at home. In any case it was a couple of hours of caching
I have been here before but circumstances prevented me from looking for this cache. Was the ugly fence always there at the memorial? In any case I got the numbers and scuttled down the road and around the corner and up a hill and into the shrubbery and found the cache Bit of a foot slog back to Sooty the Cachemobile.
On we rolled... (time to do shopping)

After doing the calculations we strolled over to the GZ area but our calculations taking us over near the fence. Once we expanded our search the hide was quickly spotted and signed. Thanks Dosphoenix.
We spotted the quaint little park and proceeded to the plaque to gather the info for WP2 and once sums were done we on our way. On arriving at the new WP it didn't look right so we did a re-caluation which didn't help either. So the only thing left to do was widen the search and thankfully we soon had cache in hand. Thanks Dosphoenix and TFTC
After I attended my Girls Group in Tarragindi this afternoon, my mum mnance101 and myself decided to find this cache. TFTC and the great multi!
Yay! I am very happy to finally get a smiley for this cache. I attempted to find this cache in November 2015. I miscalculated the numbers but with the help of the CO I was set on the right path. I have been over here a few times since then as my sister lived nearby, however I have not had the opportunity to get the cache until today. My daughter pinkypie05 had a Girls Group in Tarragindi this afternoon. So after the group we decided to find the cache. It was very easy to find. I was so close but yet so far! TFTC and the great multi!
This would have to be one of my quickest multis ever.. Thanks for placing, I enjoyed my wander to gz where I made a quick find.. Log book had been signed by muggles before me though
In deciding where to take the Geodog for its morning run cache finds play a part in the decision. NannaRuby had done the background which led us to GZ on this one. Her accurate coords enabled us to locate reasonably quickly, tricky hide. TFTC & the cardio workout.
An early morning outing with toriakyogle and the geodog. My DNF a few months ago meant that I wasn't confident with my calculations. After we had run the geodog ragged in this great space and walked up the incline to GZ we set about searching. Toriakyogle was wearing the geogoggles today. She spotted the cache and we signed the log. We returned it with some more camo.
Thanks, Dosphoenix. A great multi!

I'd put this one on my watch list after a recent DNF. So I was surprised to see vennfamily's found it log
So I emailed vennfamily to check my figures and embarrassingly discovered that my maths was out by a little bit, as I'd neglected to add one of the required numbers!
Silly me I was so sure I'd worked out the numbers properly while sitting over at the memorial. I'd even keyed the numbers into my GPS, but that particular day a party was underway near GZ and I decided to visit another day. That day arrived, but I hadn't realised my numbers I was using were wrong due to my original mistake, and of course the end result was that I didn't find the cache
Anyhow, I'm rostered off work today, so since I wanted to come over this way again to pick up a nearby new traditional. I figured I better come and turn this one into a smiley
The corrected numbers worked a treat, but the last time I was here I searched around this spot also (I fanned out to check other likely spots) and I'd obviously missed this one? The vennfamily log mentions the cache being out in the open? Very strange that I didn't see it then?
Oh well. It's been turned into a smiley now. I'd better learn to recheck my maths from now on lol
Now I'm off to see if I can find that new traditional over this way

I was driving along and saw this icon on the GPS so decided to stop and have a look.
It is a very nice memorial and a fitting tribute. I took a seat and calculated the numbers and soon figured out where I had to head.
There were lots of families at the playground but thankfully my GPS took me away from them. As I approached GZ, I saw the cache sitting in the open although clearly in its hide.
After signing the log I returned it to its hide but made sure to add some camp so it wasn't quite so obvious.

I came back here this morning and was pleased to see no muggles about. So I went to the coordinates I had worked out the other day and set to work searching for the cache. Unfortunately I couldn't find the cache? I searched a bit further afield but still nothing?
I did find a huge stick insect during my search (pic attached) though
I'll put this one on my watch list and see if anyone can find it?

I was nearby to this one as I'd just found a traditional cache not too far away. I went and gathered the information and computed the numbers which gave me a pretty good looking set of coordinates
Unfortunately it was muggle central at GZ so I decided not to compromise the cache location and come back another day.
I'm not logging a DNF as I never got to the coordinates to do a proper search. I'll return another day when hopefully the coast is clear

I'm sure we had the right place, the owl was watching us but couldn't find the cache.
A friend lives near by. She mentioned that she hadn't been feeling well but felt like a gentle walk somewhere. I talked her into learning about Private Clark. We arrived with the geodog at the monument. gathered the info and tidied up the leftovers from Anzac Day. Coordinates calculated and entered and off we gently walked.
Maths is not my strong point obviously. Always feel a bit silly when I don't find a difficulty of 1 but there you go!
Thanks for bringing me here Dosphoenix- it was a great walk and a chance to pay respects to a fallen soldier.

I am currently working on qualifying for a NSW challenge cache that requires you to find a cache every day for a month, but you can't find the same cache type on consecutive days. I had grabbed a plain old traditional yesterday and was nearby for work today and thought this multi would be a quick find.
Admired the memorial and then took a wander to a likely spot, where I didn't find the cache. I searched, but after reading the logs and seeing that everybody found the container easily and quickly, I realised I was in the wrong location. Before I headed back to the memorial to redo the sums, I thought I would check out a few likely spots nearby, just in case. Well, well, well... what do you know? The cache. Still don't know what I did wrong, but my name is in the logbook.
All found in good order. Many thanks, Dosphoenix

The day before Anzac day and we thought this would be an apt cache to find for the day. We spent time checking out the memorial and gathering the required information before we set off with coordinates for the location of the final cache. A quick look around the GZ and geoson made the find of the container. Oh how I do love a quick multo. Lest We Forget. SL TSLS TFTC!
Quick little multi. I was very carefully watched by a tawny frogmouth owl. TFTC Dosphoenix
Just letting everyone know I replaced the cache container after the last needs maintenance log.
Lovely little night walk with my Scouts - luckily one of them is very good with Maths and quite determined. After original set of coordinates was off by just a little we recalculated and 'bingo' another Scout dived in for find. Well done guys. Thanks for the cache.
Great little Multi.
Great to see this little area so close to my regular holiday running track.

But, things didn't go completely as planned, instead we ended up a bit shell shocked from negotiating the vast Brisbane highways and byways, toll bridges and tunnels. After work today, I headed to this cache. I parked nearby and wandered over to collect the required information. Once I had it, I did the math and came up with a nice set of coordinates. I took a nice stroll to the final. Once at GZ, the cache was easy to locate. I signed the log and rehid the cache before returning to my car to head off to another cache
Interesting place to visit. Thanks for the cache and thanks Private Clark for your service.
A quick find today at the park. Master 3 was incredibly excited by the fact that he was the first to find it!... not so excited to discover that we stopped to sign the log on top of a bull ant mound (ouch!!!) after much dancing and screeching (poor kids... must pay more attention to where we stand next time!) log was signed and cache returned. A find for this morning before I started work. I had worked out the co-ords at the first WP and made my way across the park to make the find. As I was walking back to the car, it started to rain quite heavily - thankfully I was not far away and didnt get very wet. TFTC Dosphoenix
I had a long detour on the way to work to have a look for Private Clark. I had read up on him before arriving so I took a quick look at the memorial and then headed to search for the cache.
A little bit damp with dew but generally a nice walk in the park. I bounced about a little before spying the cache. Signed up and was on my way to work (fun over for the day ).

Got the numbers for this one many months ago, but for some reason I never found it. In a mad fit of tidy last night, I came upon a piece of paper deep in the archaeological dig which had the words "Private Clark" and some coordinates written upon it. Hence I decided to go for a wee walk today and find the cache. TNLN. TFTC, Dosphoenix, and now I can throw away that piece of paper and continue the archaeological digging on my desk!
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We pulled up at this small park next, and headed over towards the posted coords, to grab the information We soon had everything we needed, and headed off to the final GZ, before realising that something wasn't quite right, so after a quick PAF, we soon had the coords we needed, and soon arrived at GZ, spotted the cache, and added our name to the logbook [^]

what a pretty little memorial
love the poppy
while fasted got his notebook out I wondered if the final would be there or there
oh I hope not there
but it was over there
didn't realise that little spot was there
took silver coin
left green ribbon
not sure if CO realises there is still a 'needs maintenance' icon showing from a long long time ago

A quick find once we realised our first set of calculations were incorrect. Lots and lots of muggles here today.
Utilised extreme stealth to make the grab without being spotted by the literally dozens of people playing rugby a few metres away. TFTC!
Got the coords for this one some time ago when in the nearby park for a birthday party. Lots of muggles around that day. Today was a good opportunity to come back and grab it. TFTC. Cheers
I had a little business trip in Tennyson which finished early enough to leave a spare hour or two before my next commitment. So, why not get to know a bit of the local area. Drive here had some similarities than some areas of Wynnum - Manly which is closer to my home turf. Only that behind the corner over there you can get to see the sea.
Parked the car nearby and rolled down the hill to the starting point. Did the maths, arrived at nearby coords and started to follow the map. Otherwise good but the further I walked up the hill the more obvious it became that the GZ looked like being on someone's backyard. No good.
Back to the starting point for another round of arithmetics. The same result, so round 3...
As the numbers persistently remained the same, it was time to read some older logs. Uhhhhhuh, looks like a different route to the GZ might be useful. So, tried an option that started to resemble the cache description once I got far enough. [^]
Muggles at the park and behind but they were not game enough to be near the GZ. The smartiephone behaved well for once and the container was soon spotted, name inked in the logbook, and things returned back.
Can I just say how good and super-popular the slope here would be if it ever snowed in Brisbane. This would make a fantastic toboggan ride! Oh, this just made me to reminiscence the old times, all those thousands times we whizzed down hill...
TFTC, Dosphoenix!

Was at the nearby park for a birthday party. Decided to head across the road to get the needed information. With everything double checked I headed off in what I hoped to be the right direction....garmin was left on the bench at home...trusting the iPhone app and playing a bit of a guessing game I had no luck and have up! I came back an hour later with four extra sets of eyes and knowing the rough area we came up with a find. TFTC dosphoenix
Yeah. 100. Went back during the day. Easy find but coords are a little out. Perhaps by about the distance of his regiment in meters.

Wow. Do not do this at night. The neighbours are paranoid and i got stuck behind the gz for a good 10 mins as they searched with a laser light. Their Dogs can hear a fart, so be careful.

I arrived at a deserted WP, which is always helpful. I gathered the necessary numbers and did the sums. It did not look good on my map, so I double checked. Same answer.
Not far away, so lets go for a look. Yay! It might be OK after all, this part of the park is not shown on my GPS, it looks like private land.
Pedalled as near as I could to GZ for a nice quick find. Thanks

In the area with an hour to spare and not many caches left for me to do... I saw this one and although I am not too great at multi's this one looked doable so I thought I would give it a shot. I made my way to the memorial and grabbed the details... did some sums and hoped I was doing them correctly... with no geochecker it could have went either way... oh well I am here, it looks like that would be a suitable place for it to be hiding... so off I go with my fingers crossed and my hopes high
Getting to the location I believed it may be hidden... yeah this looks possible... approaching from one angle didn't seem suitable so I went around and came from another side and there it was.... yay I did a multi all my myself very proud (don't judge)
No muggles around, no dogs barking... all safe and sound

Found the required information and calculated the final location. The GPS seemed to be pointing in an unexpected direction so I returned to the initial coordinates to recheck the info and calculations. Confirming everthing was correct I looked at a map and realised that the indicated direction was possible. A short walk to GZ and the cache was located after a short search, despite staring in the face at one stage. Tftc
Coordinates quickly and easily spotted, thanks fir the bit of history, a little walk through the park found as at GZ, hmm barking dogs, man on back deck, oh we're muggled out, but then we spotted it from a distance and quickly signed and got out of there. Tftc.
Found. Misssusan79 did the maths from the clues and we route marched in random file guided by the waypoint in her (and Lisylou's) trusty guidance system. Through the fields we trecked until we were on target. Mission accomplished.
Didn't find it first time but went back a few hours later after checking the co- ords and we were right first time. Just didn't spot fairly small cache under a log. Looks like a lot of the felled branches in vicinity have been lopped down by council workers. Hopefully they don't ever clean them up and expose it!
I met up with T-Tech for lunch today and we decided to grab this one. Had to think a bit about the numbers at WP1, but we eventually came up with some good-looking co-ords. A little walk and the cache was an easy find as it was uncovered. I made sure to add a little more cover before we left. TFTC, Dosphoenix and for showing us the memorial.
