Went to the zoo today so decided to grab this as it was on my GPSr. Didn't realise at the time that the cache had been disabled. The log book is damp but the piece of paper that has been added is doing the job very nicely. Would have replaced the log if I had a spare...guess I need to update my caching bag a bit lol. Thanks for the cache
I hadn't realised there was an archive noe on this cache, but did find it. It was a nice easy find in the way to the zoo. The log book is saturated and there is another ziplock bag with notebook paper in the cache for logging. Thanks for the cache
As reported log book wet. Alternative paper in new bag is working OK to log visit. Left cap bomb, took nothing.
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Found it.
was still wet as reported.
needs new book.
only has scrap of paper and pen doesnt work...

21/04/2011 14:35 Found: #414 We came to the zoo to see the Tassie devil as our youngest had specifically asked to see them. Had a nice hour and a half looking at all the animals including the devils which we all saw eating and we even patted had the opportunity to pat baby. As we were leaving the Zoo this cache was too good an opportunity to pass up. I saw that it was offline but still in place. As expected, the logbook was super manky so I added a page from my book and placed it in a new ziplock bag. TFTC TNLN SL
Taking this action until I can get the opportunity to perform the maintenance that is required to have this cache back in tip top shape. Have been laid up with a knee injury for a while and will be for some time yet. Will have it up and running again ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience…. BUT if anyone still wishes to search for the cache and finds it but are unable to log it OR retrieve it, it’s OK with us if you still log your find on here without signing the log book.
Had won a free entry ticket to the park otherwise may not have made it out here. Added a dry sheet to the log before visiting the devils.
Found this one while on a tassie roadtrip. Contents were completely submerged inside container. We removed the water, but still needs drying out. Added log on separate sheet. TFTC!!

This cache is in dire need of some attention, the whole cache was totally water logged
Found quicly, but this cache is a real mess. It needs major maintenance, cache was full of water, we didn't even attempt to get log book out of it's bag, but we did take a picture and will upload soon. TFTC, there was no sign of the geocoin.
I'd never been past here (and the gates to the Launceston Lakes) before. It certainly was dusty around GZ, but the passing traffic, including large trucks, made it obvious why as the clouds of dust drifted past.
Despite living with a couple of hours of the area, we had never visited this location before. We enjoyed the short drive out of Launceston and were rewarded with a quick find. TFTC
We found devils, wallabies, birds of all types, possums and even monkeys, but we also found a cache and that's what got us the smiley!
Took TB
Thanks MM

Found following an interesting meeting of Geocaching Tasmania Inc. Dropped off TB picked up at the meeting and picked up a ball. Also left a soldier. TFTC
Was at gz when the park van went past. The driver gave me a strange look as I stood there admiring his rock collection. TNLN Thanks
Quick driveby on the way into Launnie. Man, it was dusty at GZ - I came back with a thin film over my hands.
As I was searching I saw a reptilian tail disappear into what turned out to be the hiding place. Though I was sure it was pretty small, I was pretty nervous about putting my hands anywhere near there. Grabbed a handy looking stick to move rocks about until uncovering an empty hidey hole containing a cache... and nothing else.
Wasn't pushing my luck, so got the thing back in there at record pace and was on the road again. Thanks.

Dropped the junior mob off at school this morning and then headed down the river to ‘hopefully’ find myself a FTF on a new cache and DID!!! WooHoo!!!
Then on the way back I took a ‘detour’ to do a spot of maintenance on a few of ‘our’ caches.
Found this one tucked away safely so all is well here.

Nice little drive out to here. Will have to visit the zoo next time! No TB to be found. Thanks Mob
I will bring the family back to check out the wildlife park at some stage.
Today I just found the cache and took a few pics and headed off but still enjoyed it heaps.
Thanks michaels mob

quick find, must come back here one day, I believe they have some buggies you can drive around
Spent quite a bit of time looking under all the suitable locations in the dark with torches. I would have thought it would be easy to pick it out with torch light. We spent some time without success.
Nice easy find this one.....nice hide
Have been out for a look at wild life park b4 and drove str8 past this cache....lol
Wife grab this one and was sitting in behind the rocks hiding as the muggles drove past....lol

Found it just as muggles pulled up nearby. Was about to take the cache for a drive but they left.

Decided to revisit this cache as I realized I did not log my previous visit early last year. I could not find the cache in the same location I did last time and when one of the park owners/employee came out to ask what I was doing and didn't sound too impressed when I explained, I decided to move on unsuccessful.
Woho our first trackable after rolling around in the red dirt and getting covered in buzzies we found it
taken Geocoin, Sympathy for the devil, left cosmo keyring
(will log Trackable) TFTC

Decided to visit this log today to drop off the "Sympathy for the Devil" Geocoin. Couldn't think of a more appropriate spot. Hope that a Globetrotting geocacher picks it up and furthers its travels. It was dissapointing to read that the last travel bug left at this location has dissapeared without being logged. If found please follow instructions and further this guys journey.
Left Geo Coin and Pez dispenser.
Took Nodding Eeyore.
Thanks.

I have returned to Tassie and made a stop to see if my Canadian Geocoin was still there as it has not moved since I dropped it off at this cache! I am very disappointed that someone has taken it and not logged it for the past few months. I was worried about this as many caches I have gone to in Tassie have their TB and coins not there and never logged. I hope I am wrong but it appears that someone in the Launceston area is collecting TB and Geo's. If you are the one and read this I hope you get what you deserve one day.
Nice spot to see the Devils! Took the save the devil travel bug and left a Canadian Geocoin. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 0905. We saw the devils at Trowunna and Cradle Mountain on our last visit. We have been concerned about the facial tumour disease, and have seen far fewer dead ones by the roadside this time - a sure sign of the population decrease. Speaking to some Parks people as we travelled around, we gained the impression that they are becoming a little more optimistic about the future. TNLN, but dropped off TB 'Devils in Danger' to experience a bit of heaven for a change. Our thanks to Bluenose2.
Our first cache on the last day of our Tassie holiday. It was good to see a lake with water in it, you don't see much of that in Victoria anymore. Having to catch the boat back day we didn't have time for a good look aound, next time.
Cache was found after a brief search

A quick find after we had visited the devils in he wildlife park, we both thought the park was very interesting. TNLN
Found this one while in Tassie for the weekend from Sydney visiting my sister. Didn't have time to go into the park as we were off to a big family luncheon. Found the cache easily with clue. Took badge - left stubby cooler. TFTC!
This cache is in an area I have never been to before. Very pleasant and easy drive. Cache not too hard to find. Will have to bring the grand geocachers here over xmas. TNLNSL thanks to the mob.
Finaly got back to this one and found it easily this time,
Was a great detour on the way to four springs and a great day for a ride on the bike, TN L smiley badge, TFTC

First find of the day, took me a bit longer than it should have (Didn't have my caching undies on or something....)
The park in the gates is a great spot to visit.
Thanks to michael and his mob!

School holidays and Caching Kid wanted to know if she could have some driving lessons. Why not and what better way to do it, get her to take me caching
Nice easy find, despite the numerous empty cans of alcholic beaverages around GZ no one else had found it by accident.
Thanks for the cache mm.
Tomorrow I might take her to the central lakes area - I hear there are a couple of new CraigRat caches up there

The cache location was not what I imagined as I drove this dirt road. However your clue quickly brought rewards. Might have had a devil of a time during park hours. thanks michaels mob for bringing me here.
First for the day, found in the company of Waterwells, on a caching jaunt up the Tamar. Must return to visit this park when not being sidetracked by the plastic boxes.

Finally! ... Found this cache in the company of urch, who found it first! No visit to the wildlife park this time, but Mr W. and I have visited it previously - and it's certainly well worth the visit!
TNLNSL .... Thanks for the well placed cache MM.

Umm, umm, well, yer, I’m confused!?!?
Finally got back to replace the ‘missing original Cache’
After putting the ‘new’ Cache (with ‘new’ goodies and ‘new’ log book) back in it ‘original’ position and then making my way back to the Cache-mobile, I then thought I might just have one final check of the area again for the original Cache, only this time I thought I would ‘widen’ the search area in the chance it might have been moved by an animal.
As I made my way back to the general vicinity of the Cache I spotted another Cache behind a rock in clear view. This Cache container was not the one I placed here originally BUT when I opened it, it had most of the 'original' swaps and also the 'original' Log Book of the 'original' Cache in it!?!?
If anyone can help with this ‘strange set of circumstances’ please drop me a note as, as I stated at the start of this log……….. Umm, umm, well, yer, I’m confused!?!?
Anyway, the Cache is up and running again…..I have also dropped in a ‘Diabetes TB’ to get on its way. It’s one I sent away for so I’m a bit slack in getting it started BUT I was intending on putting it in this Cache the day that I discovered it missing…..That’s my excuse anyway…………..

Called in on this “NEW†Cache to check it was still there and found it to be missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This cache was meant to be a reasonably easy find for “US†Geo-Cacheres but (in my opinion) not for Muggles. Unless this area was cleared or the rock wall was removed which in not the case for both scenarios this Cache should still have been there.
I can only wonder if the Cache was replaced “exactly†as it was found or possibly someone (Muggle) may have seen it being replaced.
I have been doing maintenance checks on most of our Caches in the past couple of weeks and have found some Caches missing and some “not†re-places in their original location.
I am going to put a note on the Forum to explain my ‘thoughts’ in a bit more detail and hopefully get a few ‘thoughts’ of other Geo-Cachers on this matter…

as always we havn't started out well, we thought this would be an easy find as we know the area but not so,searched for quite a while and only found a local rabbit, and he was no help either, decided we would come back another day.
Easy find to start the day.Never new this park existed...no time to visit but aim to get back. Thanks michaels mob.TNLNSL TFTC Cheers.
