After a lovely two days adventuring around Wagga Wagga with BarberBlackSheep after our original new year's plans in Canberra got cancelled it is time to head back to Sydney, not without grabbing a few caches, of course.
The weather is amazing today which is making for a pleasant drive home.
This was our second find on the way home, I'm not sure if we came from the right side as we drove through private property but nevertheless we made the find and continued on our journey home!
Happy new year!

Took a little while to have the CIH. GPS was a bit jumpy in the area. No need to open the gate and no need to go under the bridge. Geo-Rabbit finally tracked down this guy. Conducted maintenance on the container lid and replaced log book with a new note pad, as the container was very wet. SL ICW Geo Buddy, Mystic Seer. TFTH TFTC. Replaced as found ready for the next Geo-Adventurer.
Found with Geo Buddy, Chippyddd. Great area to hide a cache although GPS is a little jumpy. Lid to cache was damaged so we conducted some in field hospital 'observation' treatment on cache while Geo-rabbit looked on from a safe distance. SL TNLN TFTH TFTC Replaced cache ready for next adventurer
A possible FTF up for grabs in Gundagai and a day off in hand, means a day of caching! I made my trail which involved many types of caches and styles of hides along the Hume Hwy between Coolac and the Tumbarumba turnoff plus a couple of other ones around the area. I ended up having 12 finds and one DNF. I found 4 types of caches which were Trad, Letter-box, Multi and Virtual. I also enjoyed my lunch at Tarcutta with one of the juiciest hamburger I’ve eaten in a very long time. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found for allowing them to bring joy to me and the rest of the Caching community. TFTC’s
I felt very uncomfortable attempting this cache as it seem to now be completely on private property. I still went for it as it is a oldie cache and I also enjoy seeing old bridges. A quick find at GZ and a few photos taken. Now to quickly get out of here so I don't get in trouble like earlier today. TFTC anyway and onto the next one.

One of a few leg-stretching cache stops on the way from Melbourne to Canberra.
I parked just beside the highway at the entrance to the driveway and did the short walk to the bridge. Felt a little like trespassing, but probably wasn't. Fascinating old bridge and a terrific piece of history that should be granted better access and made known to more people. I made quite a quick find here. Yes, the lid is damaged and the cache needs to stay upside down. The log was pretty dry, but has obviously been wet. When I returned the cache it went almost too far, so I made sure that wouldn't happen again. While there are plenty of photos in the gallery for this cache, I added a couple of my own take on it. TFTC

Second time lucky for this one. Great little spot. Log is getting soggy.TFTC
Lovely little diversion off the highway. Log was damp and in need of some love
Needed one for the day and was heading to Grenfell for the weekend and I had been looking at this one for a while. Had scoped out the entrance to this one last time so was reasonably confident I knew where access was. Headed in and parked nearby but walked the last 200 metres. At GZ I realised my head torch was not working so hunted in the light of the iPad and hoped it wasn’t too hard. Probed once and based on the hint probed again and came up with the cache. Signed in the dark (May be at an odd angle) and then on my way. TFTC
Needed a quick rest so stopped at this location as I knew it was a nice spot to sit
I couldn't count the number of times we have driven past this spot and not found the time to stop and find. Having left town early to grab some extra caches before attending the Tumut Invasion this weekend, I was determined to make this top priority. Pa agreed to be chauffeur. After dropping the van in Adelong it was back out to the highway to look for the cache. We knew where to turn in and before long I was in the general GZ area. That was where everything came to an abrupt end. I'm not going to bore you all with the details, suffice to say it took far, far too long to find the cache which we eventually did. Log now carries signature and cache is returned to its hidey hole. TFTC TNLN SL

A 3 day circuit from Canberra, to Jindabyne, to Khancoban, to Walwa, to Wodonga and back to Canberra to find a few specific high D/T caches, picking up a few others on the way. Now on the homeward leg. Cache soon found thanks to the hint. TFTC.

My last day of my caching holiday, and I spent most of it driving back to Sydney. While I couldn't find as many caches as I wanted, I still managed to get my hands on 23, which brought my total finds up to 11,111!
I had an enjoyable and relaxing week of caching. Sad it had to finish so soon... until next time.
I had passed this bridge numerous times, but had missed the turnoff on the long way home from big weekends out. This time I was prepared way in advance and drove right up to the bridge to finally grab that cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Have looked at this spot many a time traveling past, today was the day that lunchtime arrived and with picnic on board stopped with the GeoFam to pick up this cache.
Was a cracking spring day, slight breeze stirring up the pollen,. Such a picturesque location, had to grab a few snaps.
Re the cache, thanks to the recent passerby who had added a new log. Even it was a touch damp so could possibly do with a new zip-lock.

Always noticed this bridge on the drive to Sydney. Nice spot, but incredibly windy today.

Always wanted to take a closer look at this, but I often overshot the entrance and couldn't be bothered turning around. Decided that today was the time to grab this cache once and for all.
Nice easy find, but the real find was this amazing little bridge.
Thanks for bringing us here Team Denmar.

Headed back to Canberra after a lovely weekend break with Genghicat.
After overshooting initially we tried a couple approaches and finally got it right, pulling up beside the bridge. It's a beautiful little spot, which quite distracted me while Genghicat quickly found the cache. The log is mouldy and wet. It needs replacing with a plastic bag. Shame there's an electric fence. I could have spent quite a while playing with the camera.

I’m very glad we detoured off the road, on our leisurely three day trip to the OZGeomuster. What a delightful old bridge. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk across it, and, of course, finding the cache here.
Thanks for the views and the cache here.

We spotted this bridge while travelling North and we figured there had to be a cache there. A quick check and sure enough, there it is. What better opportunity to stop and stretch the legs. After a brief search the cache was soon in hand, and after completing our caching duties we stopped to take in the scenery before heading back to the Landcruiser to continue our journey. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot and thanks for the cache.
Trip down to Victoria for a family reunion, so I seized the opportunity to grab some caches along the route. I managed to find a dozen caches along the trip & secured a few statistics for various challenge caches that are on my radar. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their caches, they broke up the trip nicely.
Thirteenth cache of the trip. It was drizzling for the whole trip home. It was nice to pop in here and grab this cache. Didn't take long to locate the hide. The map had me on the other side of the bridge. Cheers!

#7447 - 17:30; A plan was hatched a few weeks back with StrangeTrousers and CBRCHIC to tackle the High Country Rail Trail (HCRT) from Wodonga to Tallangatta this weekend. We had wrapped up the trail earlier in the day and after grabbing some lunch in Tallangatta I bid the rest of the team adieu and headed back for home. I stopped off to grab this cache which was the last of two I had left on the 'to do' list for the weekend along the highway. Parked the geomobile and wandered over the old bridge on foot for the first time, having driven over it many times over the years. A bit of poking and prodding at GZ revealed the cache and I was happy to finally get my name into the log. TFTC TEAM DENMAR
Great spot for planned wee walk. Loved to have time to dry out logPut fuel receipt in there. TFTC
Wasn't too sure about this o e as it looked to be on private property but thought what the hell I've always wanted to look at this bridge so we decided to go for it. After a bit of a search we finally found it. Log needs replacing
I have attempted to access this cache before but both gates were shut and I was very confused and didn't have time to make the walk.
Today however I had plenty of time so told myself I would find it regardless of the situation. Luckily today though the southern gate was wide open! So all I had to do was drive my car down to the bottom and was right at the bridge!
A cute little bridge indeed, and a quick find once walking across.
Thanks!

#11174. The first day of our two week Canberra Holiday and it was a travelling day between Beechworth and Carwoola with several caches thrown in for good measure. Robmc and I enjoyed our trip under the clear blue skies and jet streams. What a way to finish Spring!
At last, at last! I have tried to find a way to this one a couple of times and noted it pop up on my radar on my several trips up the highway, but today with Rob we drove nice and close and I enjoyed the walk on the bridge. The water was tumbling along underneath and it was very pleasant.
Unfortunately, the A4 log sheet that was popped in here in April 2012 is mouldy, damp and extremely yucky. The inside of the container was also wet. It is all in need of urgent maintenance. Hopefully, this can be done as it is such an interesting piece of history and such a nice bridge.
Thanks TEAM DENMAR

4/09/16 Didn't find it As Arnie says 'I'll be back.'
We went up on the bridge and couldn't get through, and it was getting dark. Been driving past this bridge for many years and have always wanted to see it closer, so please we now have. Thanks for bringing us here.
Amazed !! Barely saw any find numbers in the 600's we have ripped through them incredibly quickly this month.
Travelled 4hrs to attend two events in Junee at the Monte Cristo and the Licorice Factory. Completed the first half of this series as we had to head home a day early due to a couple of factors, one being the threat of the Murrumbidgee flooding which caused us to lose our pre-booked accommodation for the weekend. We hoped for a good find of caches while down here and were not disappointed considering the factors.
*** NO trackables found in this cache ***

That now means I have visited both bridges - Shark Ck on the North Coast and this one - so I left a fish from the North.
Compass seemed to be pointing down to the river but couldn't get there. Was I supposed to climb the fence?
Missed the exit but geohubby managed to get back. Found the cache on the ground, out of reach. Geohubby flicked it in my direction. SL.Then he used long stocks to ensure itdidnt dissappear forever. TFTC
Lovely bridge a great setting tftc a little wet down the bottom plus watch out for cow dung
Yay, my 900th cache find! Great spot. Mum had already found this one but she stopped here for Dad and I so we could enjoy it too. TFTC
On another ride and decided to do a few caches along the way - I have driven past this Bridge thousands of times over the past 20 years and never stopped to really get out and have a look at it - What a great place to put a cache even if just to get people in to have a look at it and reflect on some of the history - TFTC
We've driven past this twice and not attempted it as we haven't been sure where to park or from where to get access to it. e.g. Is opening the gate close to the Southern end Ok? Perhaps CO could provide a way point for where to get access to this cache?
We've been passing this spot for a number of years but could never quite believe that you had to drive in to somebody's driveway to access it. Turns out there's a second gate, and that is indeed the way to do it. Fantastic place to stop - especially in twilight - and a cache we're glad to finally cross off the list. TFTC.
This Is what geocaching is all about. Finding those little treasures and not just a box is priceless. The noise from the cicadas was deafening. Great picture opportunity. Giving it a fav for the location.

Today B737 & I made a return trip to Wagga Wagga as we notice the RGGT trail had been maintained. I was behind the wheel this time with B737 as navigator. Jetfusalage stayed at home manning the playstation. We'd missed about 9 of the series last time & were keen to complete it. Today it was quite a bit warmer than our last trip & it was interesting to see how the scene had changed. This time it was much drier and we had our first experience of grass seeds in the socks for the summer. We really like Wagga Wagga. It's clearly a prosperous country centre with heaps of caches. But it's quite hard to plan a route around an unfamiliar town. We had a knack of seeking all the most difficult or missing caches and spending way too much time looking for them. We'll just have to come back I guess.
I think this one was the highlight of the trip for me. I made it clear to B737 I was keen to do this one on the way back as we only caught a glimse of it last time. We found a track down to the bridge and it did not dissapoint. Built in 1938 (from memory) in an art-deco style after the real Sydney Harbour Bridge was opened 1932. Well worth the stop, although it did not smell so great.
Thanks for the cache TEAM DENMAR.

Found on a day flight from Canberra, this time with StrangeTrousers as pilot, to pick up the rest of the magnificent RGGT trail which were missing on our last run & some extras.
Been wanting to visit this bridge for about 14 years since I first spotted it on a drive to Melbourne. Was glad to pick up a geocache at the same time. Love old bridges and this one didn't disappoint. If it was on my land I wouldn't be using it for stock, I'd have outdoor tables and chairs and a BBQ up here
Was the perfect cache to finish our day trip.

It was road trip time and three days traveling and caching was quickly planned. An early morning start and the first location was Mt Buller. From Mt Buller I headed to Bookham in NSW and stayed there the night before hitting the Endangered Species series of caches, starting early the next morning. Heading South West I stopped at Gundagai to visit a 'dog', continued through Walla Walla and Urana before crashing just out of Berrigan. The third day I continued west to Echuca then south through Bendigo and the final stretch for home.
The weather was good on day one but later that night it started to rain and continued for the next two days. Needless to say I did get quite wet on occasions, and some of the country roads I followed where no place for a 2WD, the Prado would slip and slide but luckily kept moving forward. By then end of the trip there was another 1800 km on the clock, 239 cache finds, 2 DNFs and 5 FTF's just to top it off. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches I found and the places they brought me to.
An interesting old bridge and it really does look like a mini version of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Cache found and log signed. Thanks Team Denmar.

Thanks for showing us this quirky old bridge that does look like a mini Sydney Harbour Bridge, even has a derelict boat close by
At last!!! I have passed this one on several trips in the past, rocketing past the turn off to access it before we realised we had. It was great to finally complete it.
GrimRaider and I pulled off the highway and drove right up to the bridge. Wow, lots of hidden history here - wonderful to come and see this old bridge. Well worth the stop. Cache in good condition. Thanks for the cache !
Out for a morning drive, to pick up a few caches.
Have driven passed this bridge many times, so it was good to stop and have a closer look.
Once we found access, we strolled over the bridge, where the cache was soon located.
Many thanks for placing this cache, TEAM DENMAR, for us and others to find.

Tried this one again today. Gate was ooen so I drove right in and down to the bridge. Found cache quickly and headed back to the car- verrry hot out there today! Such a gorgeous quaint little spot- I look at the bridge every time I drive past and it was nice to come down here tftc
Loving these stops along the highway and this one is a real beauty. What an amazing bridge out here. Tftc.
Little Sydney Harbour Bridge? Of course we have to give this one a go. Looked cute when it came into view and gave the first access we could find a go - it got us to GZ and we got to walk across the bridge itself. Geoboyfriend went searching without realising his proximity to the cache, which I found a few minutes later. Really enjoyed the scenic nature of this spot but was a bit worried about whether this is now classed as private property, and whether we should be hanging out with the local sheep to get this one? Great spot regardless. Thanks for making us stop here, would've missed it otherwise (and glad there's a new bridge now to share with the trucks!)
Yes at long last, third try, first time went to fat past, second to late at night and thought might be trespassing but this time in daylight, worked out a safe way in,tftchallenge
On the way back to Newberys after a great caching expo. Did over 100 caches with the newberys. TFTC SL. TNLN. What a great Harbour bridge.
Dropped in on the way back from Wagga with the WEEO after doing the trail there. The farmer reckons the bridge is on private land, so we just pleaded ignorance and rambled on about how great bridge was and how we saw it from the highway and wanted some pics. TFTC and sorry for the late log.
Well the weekend was upon us and the planned Geomission with specimenX and FurfacesLL in Albury/Wodonga was here
We had been planning this weekend for sometime now and had been busy solving puzzles in preparation for the weekend. We spent the weekend doing the HCRT trail, some of the HSS series and some surrounding areas.
Last cache on the way home. All of us had looked at this one a number of times as we wizzed past on the highway. This time, we took our time to identify a route into the cache area and make the find. We chose the correct entry thankfully as the other entry has no access to the cache. We wandered upto the awesome little bridge and specimenX soon had cache in hand. Logging duties performed and now it was time to head home from a busy weekend.
Thanks for the cache TEAM DENMAR

Well this was the last day of our long weekend Albury/Wodonga Geomission with Rapidlywild and specimenX.
Driving home to Canberra from Albury and having all driven past this one one too many times it was time to actually stop at this one to see if we could get it ticked off the too be found list at last. Found the right access point and the cache was in hand not too long after. What a cool looking bridge. Logging duties performed then on our way again.

Yes! A long weekend! Time to get out of the Can and go on a geomission around Aubury-Woodonga with Rapidlywild and FurfacesLL #1
Day three of our geomission around the area and today's objective was to just cruise around picking up random caches, as we were geobuggered from the previous two huge days!
This one was the last of the finds on our long weekend geomission for us. After we found the correct access point it wasn't long after a short stroll that the cache was in hand for the signing. Cool bridge! Great to finally check this out and cross this one off! Now time to head back to the geomobile to make our way back home. Thanks RW and FFLL#1 for the company and laughs on a great weekend's caching adventure
Thanks for the hide, TEAM DENMAR

Thanks RW and FFLL#1 for the company and laughs on a great weekend's caching adventure
Thanks for the hide, TEAM DENMAR
Found @ 3:52pm with hccatcher11415 on a trip to Wodonga and back for squiggle30's 10th birthday
I have always admired this bridge when driving past, even more so once I realised there was a cache there. The camo made the container blend in nicely.
Thanks again TEAM DENMAR

Disappointed not to find this, we are taking too long to get to Canberra stopping for caches so after a quick look we pushed on.
Took a bit of searching but the co ordinates were right and we got there after about ten minutes. Tftc.
Searched and searched but was reluctant to give up, persistent paid off and we had cache un hand with indianagleeson and geofriends number 2 of our geocache road trip
Chickened out last time with the kids - this time it was just me so, feeling very obvious, I wandered over to the bridge. Looks cool up close! Thanks for making me stop and stretch my legs
Headed down the really long thin black line this time to Victoria to try to finish off the HCRT Series. And attempt another couple of series in Northern Victoria. Day four of the adventure left Myrtleford early morning and headed back to the Hoopshot series, To pick up a few more before wending my way home. Hoping to find a few more on the way. What a spectacular place here in what I suppose you call the High Country of Victoria, No matter where I go in Australia I find a place that’s got the Wow factor. Great cache. TFTC
