This cache was for dak's Emu Mob who often screamed this in his logs and many of the people who knew him have located the cache. Thanks to all who enjoyed it.

Can see now why we could not find it...

After a DNF by martinez, Romax has checked and the cache seems to be AWOL.

No joy for me here today. loads of potential hides around around GZ but no cigar. Did find a very promising hide at the coordinates but nothing there but a hole and scattered stones. Hope it hasn't been muggled.

Despite this I did enjoy the scrambling around the rocks.

What a tricky place to hide a cache - in typical Morris style, this cache was found at exactly the correct co-ordinates in a clever camoflague.

Thanks for your cache today on Phil(Bogonghazy) and Ian's(vk3jap) Bendigo caching trip.

Despite us not finding this one we had a most enjoyable day.

Thanks all the same - Ian(vk3jap)

Searched high & low, looked in every crevice, lifted every rock small enough, and even stuck my hand done places I probably shouldn't have. All to no avail. Thanks FTC anyway, The Morris

1818h. This one had me worried. You need to take your time to find a good park off the road, or have a good navigator, enough said. After a little bit of scrabbling and head scratching found a very good hide. All I will say is it isn't where I thought it would be. But then the local little muggles would find it if they explored the obvious spots. The cache is in good order, it hasn't rained lately, and fits neatly into the hide. 10 points to the Morris.

Great cache! I had to return to the car to check out the description but after that a fairly easy find. Oh and i do hate these kind! (But we all love them nevertheless!)

I must admit I had a rushed look for this one in fading light a few weeks ago but a nice easy find today.
Was on the lookout for critters of the fanged variety in this warmish second day of summer but no sightings.

Our thanks to The Morris for the cache

This one has been on my list for a very long time! Today, instead of driving past like every other time, I opted to pull over and have a look. Pondered the remains of the structure near GZ before commencing the search. Was a little dubious about snakes at first, but figured that the finders from the previous day had probably scared any remaining slithery critters away!

Despite the rather rocky location, the search for this cache was much shorter than I had anticipated, and the cache was in hand within a minute or two.

TNLN. Thanks!

25-Oct-08
No idea how I found this one - I just happened to pick up the right rock and there it was. Not a great day to go looking for this one; a warm sunny day, and highly likely that slithery bitey things were within arm's reach on several occasions. However, it was nice to stop here after driving past so many times in the past.

On a caching day with Burning Lizzie, this was one we found on the way back from Bendigo. After the many Romax horror caches, a relatively simpler find here. A lucky look under the right rock meant it was picked up straight away!!

Yes, this one did take longer than it should have. I blame wandering satellites and the psychology of looking for cahces in rocks.

We found our 6th Morris cache at 9:30am as the 2nd of 23 on route to SA. We found the cache in one spot, the log book in another (with an unsavoury log) and the contents spread around the general area. We put as much as we could find back together and gave the owners a call. This cache reminds me of our old buddy. Thanks for the cache from D,H & A B-A.

There is a cache (in Sydney?) named in DAK's honour and there isn't a rock within cooee! On a cooler day today this one was a quick find with the normally good coordinates from The Morris. Thanks for another excuse to get off the road.

Found today by head Chef on his way back from Bendigo for work, nice hot day was on high alerts for Dak's slithery mates!

Yes you are right - I hate them amongst the rocks, so many places to look, anyway came up with the goods in the end. TNLN. Thanks

22-Nov-07
Geez- we didn't mind these. (mainly because we found the cache pretty quickly) Not sure that I would have beeen brave enough to do it if it was hot though. This would be a lovely place for a slithery creature to sun themself and then move off quietly in the grass. We helped ourselves to a pretty rock. Thanks.

We were a bit wary of the slithery locals on the approach to this site. GPS'r had us a bit off target with this one - perhaps the satellites were in too much alignment! Interesting remains nearby.

Coffee break for Hondo222 and myself while the boys ran off abit of excess energy, got lucky and located this one in about 10 minutes, giving us more time to drink our coffee. All enjoyed this location. TFTC

4th find for the road trip afternoon with the Hardy boys, within 10-15 mins I got lucky. This cache answered a question that I had for many years while passing, travelling the highway I'd look across at the fine old building to the left on the approach to Harcourt heading south it always seemed a bit of an odd location for a hotel - well off the highway and passing traffic, until I saw the original bridge close to the cache. Thanks Morris

Found at 12.30pm GAFF5 on our Coromal Cairn Curran Campaign weekend in the company of Ian & Penny and a group of 4 muggle friends and family. It helps when 7 people look for a cache in these sort of locations. Thanks The Morris tn/ln.

No luck finding this one. Took the eldest geokid on the hunt but in hindsight not a great idea - he slipped and split his lip open in the two seconds that dad wasn't holding his hand. Only a superficial wound thank goodness, allowing for time for a bit more searching. Probably not the best cache for young kids/the elderly/pregnant women/the infirm to attempt.

15-Sep-07
We tried to hard. Spent a long time climbing over rocks

4 stubbies and Kingpin visited but to no avail. So many good spots to hide this one in and all empty. Will revisit for another look another day.

Found by edmil & maddie. It was -3° and geez those rocks were cold, actually everything was damn cold. The search was quick - it had to be, we weren't going to freeze our butts off in an extended search. Luck was on our side and we soon had the cache. Thanks TNLN

Oh look at them rocks [:o]
At least they're nice BIG rocks. It's the medium sized ones I hate. BIG rocks have fewer hidey holes between them Big Grin
There were a thousand muggles around this morning. Some sort of sports event happening Smile

Unfortunately we were unable to locate this one, storm clouds and rain made the locating of this prize very difficult as the GPS was all over the place.
Still the cry went out, "WE WILL BE BACK!!!" to try again when we tackle Bendigo.

A relatively easy find for a Morris cache. I hate rocks too but this one was OK.

After last nights effort with a Morris cache we were not too optimistic about an easy cache find just by the cache name. This one turned out to be the exact opposite as the cache was in hand within 5 minutes of starting the search. We had a bit of a conversation about the nearby structure and wondered where the original road might have been.
Thanks again The Morris

25-Apr-07
I put this cache on my list for the day, but Geez, I Hate 'em in Rocks. This is one of Dak's most common sayings, and I concur, so it was with some trepidation and doubt that I started off on this one. Lucky for me, my search lasted just a minute or two.

No exchange was made. Thanks for the cache, and for a break in my journey home from the Bendigo caching event.

25-Apr-07
17:03 was not found while at the Central Victorian Get Together Event in Bendigo. Too hard for this unfit guy... rating 1...mmmmm. And yes, I hate them rocks!

25-Apr-07
Next! should have waited a few minutes Big Grin found at 17:20, though I'd probably rate it as a 2-star, but then that's probably because I was freaking out at the bullant population crawling everywhere. Geez I hate em in rocks with bullants!

Thanks to help of geo-munchkins this one was located without too much fuss. As far as I know the closest building to GZ was once a pub, now a home and apparently has large cellars. Took mondo left coins. TFTC.

First of twenty-two cache finds in company with dak’s Emu Mob on our usual Wednesday assault; this week we chose Bendigo. The cache was found at 10:00. Geez I love them in rocks but this one took us ages to find I must have looked close to the cache at least four times before I finally turned my head on the right angle to see it. I almost began to hate ‘em rocks! Like Dak.
Thanks to The Morris for the cache.

04-Apr-07
Aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh! Geez, I hate 'em in rocks!

First of twenty-two finds in company with acts2youthgroup in our latest 'clean up Bendigo' day. This wasn't the best start to the day, but it typified what was a challenging, and sometimes frustrating, day of geocaching. Unfortunately (and typically, for the Emu Mob) we didn't have a nice, quick five-minute find. Sad We spent 40 minutes scrambling over rocks, and reaching into places where there was goodness knows what. We called a help line, but were told "it's 1L in size, and in a crevice". Gee, I would never have thought about it being placed in a crevice! Wink At last, Acts2YG came up with it at 1000. He likes 'em in rocks, but the experience almost changed even his mind. I made no exchange. Thanks to The Morris for the cache (really). Cheers, dak.

03-Apr-07
I must be walking around with my head up my jumper! I've only just become aware of this cache in planning for yet another Bendigo assault. I'll be with acts2youthgroup, who unaccountably, likes them in rocks. The mad, impetuous fool! This one is on the list for tomorrow, so prepare yourself for those immortal words in my log. Big Grin

There is another cache with this name in the U.S. (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=82566bfa-65c1-49b8-ba27-9c52c741b705&log=y). Wink

P.S. You left the exclamation mark off the cache name. Smile

Found by Mary & David at 1630. We considered bypassing this one as we, too, hate 'em in rocks. We relented though, and were lucky enough to locate the cache after only five minutes. A very busy place today with the Applefest being celebrated. Lots of road works taking place since our last visit too. TNLN. Once more our thanks to The Morris.

5th find of 7 for the day on the "Team 2Dudez finally take a caching trip to Bendigo Day"
After talking to Romax today, they confirmed I had definitely been in the right spot.
After my Day in Bendigo, I wanted to have another crack at this one on my way home, while I still had daylight to help.
The Bull-Ants were the only things against me today, and had the cache in hand after a 10 minute search.
Forgot to brings swaps with me from the car, so TNLN
I'm starting to like them in rocks a little more now.
Thanks to The Morris for another great cache

Not found on this hot day after an extensive search by Mr Emu & son ~2.30 p.m. Until today we thought we had our rock issues under control, but after this effort we now agree with the name of this cache - Geez I hate 'em in rocks!.

Thanks to The Morris for giving us this challenge - perhaps we'll come back on a cooler day.

I was on the way to Bendigo for work today and dressed up too well for this hunt. I stopped however on a recce and low and beyold the cache was right there, at the published coords, and almost too easily for my expectation. So much to my surprise I logged it. thanks the morris. TNLN

I had a little more luck than previous cachers, the weather was good and I got lucky within 5 minutes of searching. I don't mind them so much in big rocks Smile. I was also glad not to have to go searching around any carcasses, you find them occasionally....

Thanks guys,

Robmc told the story. It bucketed down. Enough to close the highway in fact. Flooded across the road. Anyway after we'd waited out the rain we hunted around and eventually located the cache, but not before I'd jammed mt thumb between two rocks. Ouch.
Thanks

11-Feb-07
The rain hit us just as we were approaching this cache. We parked near the Fire Station off the road and sat while the storm got worse, and the hail started. Eventually the rain eased off but that brought out the muggles! You would think they hadn't seen rain for ages Smile
They eventually departed leaving a few kids playing in the huge puddle in front of the station.
The rocks were a bit wet and muddy and the GPS didn't want to play. Despite that, it was an easy find.
Fortunately there weren't as many rocks as in a similar cache near the NSW border.
Thanks, Robmc.

1.15pm
Found by Roma and Max.
Our second visit to this site and today we arrived just as another popular out of town caching team were preparing to partake of their midday meal. It is always a pleasant experience to meet up with other Geo persons, and today this is the 4th team we have met, (must be some sort of record), all searching locally!
This container that eluded us on Wednesday, posed us no problems today, although we are not fans of things hidden in rocks, not knowing what nasties may be lurking in these crevices to show their displeasure at our presence.
We took a decorative Pebble and left one of our usual Mondo Figurines for the cache.
Thanks The Morris for adding another local challenge and a night time search could definitely be an advantage, depending on the generosity of previous finders!
Romax.

What can I say... I'm with Dak [:p] "I hate 'em in rocks "

Well this was an amazing little adventure that started with an hour of searching for no cache and then a stack of phone calls to find a cacher with a computer. Thanks goes to all those who tried to help and to Hedgie in Perth who came through with an email to the cache owner for help.

"The Morris" where most obliging calling me to let me know the cache had still not been discovered and that I might get an advantage from a particular piece of equipment. I had said equipment already at hand and unfortunately it hadn't helped so far. As luck would have it 30 sec's after finishing the phone call I found the cache. I thought I had looked there but must have missed it. Like all of the "The Morris" caches today the CO are spot on.

Took little blue "thing" and TB, left "Romax" figurine [:p].

Thanks for the encouragement to keep searching.

P.S. Woohooooo FTF near Bendigo, Romax must be away Smile
