In the area this afternoon and after parking the car nearby followed the path up to GZ and made a quick find. After signing the wet log replaced as found after emptying out the container full of water. Both the cache and log are in average condition. Thanks for the cache Nilbog_Aus.The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, 15 Year Anniversary Tag, The Whaley
Picked up the info needed with ilook4geo and reworked the numbers, then headed off to GZ. It was a difficult trek for us, but reading some previous logs meant we were able to fine tune the search area. Cache was retrieved carefully and the log was signed. All was put back into place and the retreat was tackled. Thanks for this cache placement go to Nilbog_Aus.
Found the new numbers and went to WP2 with goingplaces2, where the scramble started. Managed to get to the right level but needed to read some info to find the cache. Log was signed and all was replaced before the downward scramble happened. TFTC.
I had previously started this multi but ran out of time to finish it. Today barefootjeff and I were caching in the area and used waypoint 1 as our meeting pint, we then did another cache before heading off to find this one, we searched for a while, and I went a bit lower and jeff went a bit higher before Jeff made the find. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Out geocaching with Mighty Minions around Hornsby Heights today. WP1 was our meeting point and I arrived first so I used the time to work out the final coordinates. MM had previously done that so once she arrived we headed straight off in her car. At GZ, I walked straight past the cache without seeing it on my first attempt, but on my second loop I saw it straight away. The container's contents are a bit damp but we were able to sign the log okay. A few more days like yesterday will probably dry it out. Many thanks for the nice multi and hide.
Found in 38 degree heat today. I must be mad! (Mad for geocaching!!). TFTC Nilbog_Aus
We are on a short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and accumulate enough cache finds for the current "Wheel of Challenges" (hard) souvenir and the "Celebrating the Solstice" souvenir. Photos will be uploaded to some logs on our return to home base.
Today (day 1) we travelled out to Vineyard, going via Galston Gorge with a stop-off at Fagan Park, then followed Annangrove Road out to Windsor Road and to the accommodation. This was the 1st of 14 finds for the day (day 1), and 1st find of the holiday.
It's been well over two years since we visited WP1 and collected the required information for final GZ, so today we stopped off on our way out to Vineyard to pay GZ a visit. Parked the geomobile in the handy single non disabled parking spot, then headed up through the scrub and scrambled up the rocks to GZ for a look.
Took longer than expected but eventually uncovered the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. It was quite damp & mouldy inside the cache container, but the replacement log was dry enough in it's plastic bag. TFTC Mr, Mrs, Little Miss & Little Master Nilbog_Aus.

Out caching with Jackscruff and oldmorty on a few bush walks in the Hornsby Heights area.
Having previously been to the park and retrieved information for GZ I now had the opportunity to find the cache. Jackscruff and I made our way to the top of the rocks to start our search. It didn't take long to spot the cache. Cache retrieved and dried as much as possible. A new log was placed in a dried out plastic bag ready for the next finder.
Thanks to Nilbog_Aus for placing this cache.

After the last few rainy Sydney summer days this morning dawned sunny and pleasantly cool.
I met oldmorty and frazeydaze in the carpark conveniently not far from GZ.
I had previously been to the park and collected the information there and had come to GZ. The GPS had been very temperamental that day and seemed to want me to jump off the cliff so I was unable to find the cache.
Today we headed up the hill and with multiple devices all pointing to the same area we began our search. frazeydaze was first to spot the cache. I'm sure I looked there last time but hindsight vision is always 20/20 and I mustn't have looked hard enough.
Having read the previous log I took some appropriate paper, we dried the ziplock bag and we put the new replacement log inside and rehid the cache.
Nice view up here!

Good spot, wet geocache. I like the climb but the contents and log was soaked in drenched and it makes it unsignable. TFTC a fun time.
Wow! It took me a while to find a cache. It was a tricky fir me, I was climbing up and down and was close to the point to come again when I realise that I am sitting next to the cache and check this place several times before but didn’t see the hide
A slightly tricky climb with MrSmith00, after gathering all the details a couple of weeks ago.

Tftc, headed to the park a few weeks ago and got the required info. When we went to head to GZ the road was closed as it often is, due to inept drivers. Headed back today and the road was open. Parked in the safe spot and headed over. A climb and a lovely view!
TFTC. Nice park enjoyed the swings. then some climbing and looking at view
Today we took a drive up the Pacific Highway, collecting caches from Killara to Berowra, with a mixture of Traditional, MultiCache, Puzzle/Mystery, and an Adventure Lab found along the route. A total of 11 finds for the day.
Visited WP1 and gathered the required information, calculated the final GZ coordinates, but then realised we were out of caching time for today and needed to get back home for a scheduled geoson#2 pickup. Will visit GZ next time we are up this way.

Happy Father’s Day everyone!
After taking my youngest daughter indoor rock climbing for her birthday today we headed south to grab dinner and a cache or two.
Little did I know we’d do some more climbing! This was a lot of fun, although the retrieve at the end was slightly more precarious than I had envisaged!
And it wasn’t until I opened the cache that I realised I had no pen. Pen in cache was dead too. Arggh. Fortunately a stick and the rust in the cache did the trick! Thanks for a daddy daughter adventure. TNLN TFTC

Took the kids to the park to get the coords several weeks ago, and was sceptical and put-off my the GZ coords, so I abandoned and settled for the swings.
Finally made it back on my own today and as soon as I parked I knew the coords were right - there’s an obvious pride rock formation that is begging for a hide. Climbed up (grateful for my choice of boots today) and after I little hunt around I had CIH. Moved away from the edge to sign the log (didn’t want to drop the cache OR my keys). Had to empty water out of the cache, but the log is dry and intact.
Thanks for bringing me and showing me this new perspective of a road I drive so regularly. TFTC

OCW Oldmorty and was close to this cache and have found quite few from this CO. Did the numbers dance and then off to GZ. Like mountain goats we ascended and found the prize. Good fun! TFTC!
OCW morty8888. After doing the homework in the park we drove over to the Galston Gorge. Found a parking spot not far from GZ whereupon morty8888 said "I think it's up there". Up we climbed but I left the final assent to morty8888 who, once there, soon had CIH. Nice view from GZ of the Gorge. TFTC
A fun multi, with a great place to hide the cache. I've never been here before and it's quite nice. Container was in good condition, but for some reason there was a fair bit of moisture inside. The log was a little bit damp. I tried to air it out a bit as it was quite warm and windy, but it could probably do with a bit more. Sealed it up nicely and replaced. TFTC.
Having just completed #1 Frog Hollow i spotted this one close by and thought why not.
I found the coords for WP2 easily enough and was a bit surprised at the distance from WP1 but headed back to the car and headed to the site.
Finding the carpark across the road near the GZ i headed up towards the site and began looking. It took me about 10 mins of going up and down the rocks but eventually spotted a potential camo and came up with the CIH.
Some water had got into the container and pooled in the bottom but luckily the bag around the log had held and it was dry apart from some condensation.
A lovely spot to hide a cache. Thanks for keeping it alive for almost 12 years.

Logging a a couple of weeks after this find. We were in the area to find some old school caches and stopped in this neighborhood park for a picnic lunch. We really liked the story of how the parked was saved. And it was nice to learn that the nilbog family has grown. We first ran across the nilbogs (their caches not the catchers yet) in the North Sydney/Waverton area when we started geocaching. So, we collected what we needed and drove over to GZ. Well that was a bit of a climb and the views were just great. Mr Gaztek spotted the container but he’s not very comfortable with heights and it was hard not to look down from here. Mrs Gaztek did the signing duties here. Then we took a drive to check out the nearby feature - great! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Two big caching days in a row to find some specific caches in the Hornsby and North Sydney area. Great weather and reasonable traffic made for an excellent day! Defenitely loved GZ!

A couple of months ago we visited the Hornsby area by way of the road through the Galston Gorge. What a splendid bit of civil engineering / pass-building. I especially enjoyed the tight hairpin bends. Some of the cars had to reverse a bit in order to get around them.
Well, we came to the park and I got the necessary information for the final location of the cache. I plotted the new GZ and left it as a waypoint in the GPSr, with the intention of getting back to it at some point, perhaps a bit later in the day. Alas, by the time we actually were anywhere near a starting point for accessing this cache, it was pitch black night and there was no way I was going to attempt a find in the dark in some unknown terrain.
Today we again took the road through the Galston Gorge so we could show it to a visitor. This time I made a point of stopping at an appropriate parking spot and making my way over to GZ. It was overcast and there was an occasional bit of light drizzle, but nothing that would stop a search.
It took me a bit longer than I had expected to find the hidden container -- perhaps the clue misled me a bit and I was focusing on possible hiding spots in trees. Having exhausted those options, I checked the other likely places and soon had the cache in hand.
Nice spot for a hide. Pity the views were not as spectacular today because of the low cloud, but it was a lovely cool day for attempting the successful hunt.

Great way to finish the day. Awesome spot for a GZ. On approach it was a matter oh shit. Now what. But all good was lots of fun. Have given a fav due to location.
On the way to find frog hollow, this cache appeared on my radar and so i swing by and got the necessary info to find gz.
After completing the other cache i five down as close to gz as i could and was quite glad to find a car park. Skipped across the road and scrambled up the top, and the easy part was over. I searched everywhere abbr checked out everything that looked a bit like a cache hide, but unfortunately i glossed over something obvious. I eventually found it, and went for my last cache of the day.
Thanks.

Third cache of the day with Little Roo, Tdimdad And Team C&W. Little Roo enjoyed a bit of time exploring the near by fairy garden and the swings at Ulolo Park. After reading all of the rules at the park we soon discovered that we were in violation "no group gatherings without a permit from council" we got what we needed and made our way to our destination by foot, This made for a very interesting journey once we reached the main road it was decided that it would be too dangerous to walk on the road side, we took the more scenic/safe route along the fire trail this made for a nice walk with a fair amount of bush bashing. We then found ourselves back on the road side closer to the cache just as we emerged from the bush an officer of the law drove by us and quickly turned around to ask what we were doing. We explained that our destination was a short distance away and he drove off. Not long after that we closing in on GZ this was good fun a very nice climb to reach the top. Team C&W made the find the cache was cleaned and dried out by Tdimdad, Little Roo made a swap for a little compass. We spent little while admiring the view before making our way back. TFTC Nilbog Aus
*This cache is a vehicle-only cache! Approaching the final by foot should be avoided! More in the log below.*
Out and about with W of Team C&W, Little Roo and Bryzee.
After an old multi off Ulolo Trail we approached this one. W and Bryzee took care of the reading and interpretation at WP1 while I jotted down the data required.
As one of the rules related to gatherings in the park, we moved ourselves on pretty swiftly.
Entered the final coords in our gadgets and set for the walk.
Halfway through the trip the footpath ended. The only reasonable option was a firetrail through the forest and according to Open Street Maps there would be a path from the trail to a optimally located roadside car park.
The firetrail was all good and we found the path heading off. But the longer we went, the more uncertain it became. It took a few minutes for us to relocate a path in a spot where we could descent from the little cliff down. We followed whatever looked like a path until we were close to the road again.
Two options: bash through the bush which was getting ever denser or take the easy way out via the road. 100 m on road on a sunny Sunday afternoon, how hard can that be?
W and myself were reckless and led the troops down to the road. While others waited in a little widening, I crossed to the other side to scout how well could we proceed behind the barrier.
While there, noticed a police car driving past. And as could be predicted, a minute later when I had got back to others, it came back. "Are you guys sure you know where you are going?" he asked. "Yeah, just around the corner to that carpark there" we told him. "Well, you know this is a dangerous road!" we were advised and the police shook his head in disbelief that people can be this dumb...
We headed towards the carpark, took a shortcut to the cliff before the tight bend and managed to safety. When climbing those two metres we had this brief "there's no room for falling back down on the road!" moments.
The rest was a lot more enjoyable. We made our way up, spent a bit of time searching and while I was rereading my smartiephone compass, W made the find right where compass told the goodies would be.
The contents were slightly wet but we dried them out, signed the log, enjoyed they moment and feeling.
For the walk back we decided to try the direct route on the roadside. For the first 200 m it was at the edge of the road but then there was enough room behind the barrier across the road and the rest was a lot safer.
*Again, a vehicle is highly recommended here!*
This could perhaps also be part of the cache description for the safety of future finders.
Overall, an enjoyable trip despite the little events associated. A FP for the location of the final.

This is my last weekend in Sydney.
This Friday I'll go back to the Netherlands after being here for 6 Months.
In the 6 months I had plenty of opportunities to search for Geocaches.
I have found 276 caches. 2 of my founds were FTF's.
I enjoyed my stay and have seen many placed in and around Sydney which I never would have visited without being a geocacher.
But luckily there are still many geocaches in the Netherlands which I have not found yet.
And when I come back there will be a lot of new tea aches in Sydney so there will be enough new places to be discovered.
On my last Sunday in Sydney I wanted to do an old Multi.
So I had decided to go to North Hornsby.
A week ago I had informed Tdimdad about my plans and asked his if he was interested in joining me.
He mailed me he was interested and that he would come together with Bryzee and Little Roo.
After meeting at the railway station we took the bus to North Hornsby.
After finding the main target for today this geoache looked like an easy one.
The cache started as an easy one and the answers for the final location were not hard to find.
But the fun started when we reached the road without a footpath.
The only save place was to walk behind the guardrail of the road.
The was another option a trail at the opposite side of the road.
We followed the trail and came at the point where there was supposed to be a turn to the right.
At least according to the open street map we were using.
But there was no sign of any trail.
We went into the Forrest following a trail which looked like it was a path once.
But after a while everything looked like a possible path. Or at least we thought it could be a path.
We tried to find the easiest way down. And after a few tries we saw something which looked like a trail which we could follow.
The trail brought us closer to the road. After after a while we found a way to access the road.
While checking our options as we had to go back a couple of hundred meters, a police car passed us.
I had expected he would stop but he turned around and came back.
He stopped and asked us: "are you sure you known where you are going to",
Yeah, to the car park around the corner.
Then he told us that we were on a dangerous road and he after shaking his head he drove off.
I expected he would give us a ride because it was a dangerous road.
But apparently he has done is duty.
We reached the carpark without any issues after taking a shortcut.
On the carpark we made further plans on how to reach the cache location.
Climbing was the only option and we disappeared in the Forrest.
The climb to the cache was much easier than the climb down to the road when the path disappeared.
At the top we looked at the point the gps devices were pointing to.
But again the devices did not agree so we decided to check the most obvious locations.
This did not help much and I checked my GPS again and it was pointing to a location which I had checked before.
A much closer and thoroughly search revealed the cache.
After signing the logbook the adventure was not over yet
Getting back to the road was the only option.
But then we had 2 options going back via the Forrest without a proper path or following a road.
We decided to follow the road, but after a few hundred meters there was no room left to follow the road safely.
We had to cross the road and climbed the barrier. luckily there was enough room to walk.
We we suppriced about the amount of rubbish we found behind the barrier. A lot of people throw stuff our of there care while driving.
Anyway we safely arrived back at the point were we started our journey.
I would not recommend trying to approach the final location without the use of a vehicle.
But I enjoyed this adventure.
One which I will remember for a long time.
A favorite is well earned.
Thanks for the multi and the unexpected adventure.

So we were in the area grabbing an old cache and I had spied this cache right near it, I had been given a nudge about some challenge caches near where we were going to be later in our trip and on perusing my qualifications for said caches it seems I have a decided lack of "caches beginning with "U" " in my life..... so..... figured since we were here anyway.... we may as well grab a quick multi..... of course I hadn't fully read or understood everything and it wasn't quite as straightforward as I first thought but still very doable and after solving the easy part 1 we were off to ground zero, quick dash across the road and then a scramble. The geoson had a ball and I swear is part mountain goat, not a trait he gets from my genes I might add and I had only just huffed and puffed up to ground zero when they (the mountain goatees) were about to replace the cache, lol, oh well, I did get up there!!!!!

Was in the area with my sister looking for an old cache - and she declared she wished a Multi, starting with "U" ... long story ... TL;DR, here we are checking out a suburban park. Made short work of the sign, calculated our destination, and as the daylight started to fade we parked across the busy road from GZ - dashed across (safely, phew), and headed bush.
A short bush whack and scramble later and the youngest of our group Master 10 got to the top first. But the experience of age, cunning and willingness to go over the edge won out placing hands on the container first. Nice spot. Deed done we all trundled back and safely returned (even hairier going back) to the car.
Thanks for placing this cache, Mr, Mrs, Little Miss & Little Master Nilbog_Aus. Found in good condition.

Dropped by for a visit at sunset this evening. It's a top place to sit for a while at that time of day. I couldn't remember exactly where the cache was but recalled it was in a rather precarious spot. Soon found it in good condition with plenty of swag. It was about *no unauthorised vehicles* metres east of where the GPS landed today.

Drove to this pleasant cache from The Rock Star(failed) just to be disappointed again. WP1 was quite easy and solved the number puzzle. We were(or should I say one of us) was surprised at the distance to the cache. Was anyone else surprised at the fact it was at Galston Gorge?!?!?!? After climbing the rocks we looked in the tree that everyone else looks in . No luck finding the eventual cache however this was still a very fun cache. TFTC

And so today I finish the streak I started after returning from overseas last year. Yes, there is a reason for the strange number - answers on a postcard and dropped into one of my puzzle caches...
But what to finish on?
Decided on a 2 Dogs cache - and this was one I'd been looking at for a while. Now if I grab more than one cache today, do I make it my first find or my last? Decided on first as this is the find that actually increases the streak.
Went for another cache nearby for a DNF, then went a little north for a second find.
It's been getting harder and harder to keep the streak going - all the close caches are either unsolved puzzles or previous (often multiple) DNFs.
Looking forward to a day off tomorrow.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Longish search to no effect.
Took a while to find a way up top, but finally found one I could navigate - so much leaf litter on the rocks. Of course an easier one was spotted for the way back down - noted for future attempts.
But checking the myriad possibilities up there, and the approaches I dared - started checking hairier and hairier spots before deciding I was heading into D4+ territory - finally gave it up after 45 minutes.
I think I'll need a PAF and then return. I assume I was all over around it today.

Finally had a chance to go looking for this one after solving it a few months ago. This one genuinely required team work due to the nature of GZ. The final co-rods were spot on. GeoSon was sent on a mission to play "spotter" and that paid off in the end with him locating the cache quickly much to our relief, as the rain was beginning to set in. SL, TNLN.. TFTC.
Had parked here before not far from GZ so knew where once numbers pointed that out.

The number puzzle was pretty cruisy. We punched in the co-ords for the cache and figured that we would need a car to get to the cache. A quick walk back and after a few minutes of driving we found a place to park on the other side of the road from the cache. A quick climb and search and boom, cache found, 5/5 for the day yewwww
Found at 5:01pm with JordsAU.
JordsAU were out and about this afternoon on a mildly difficult caching adventure, at least by our standards. I had my eye on one cache in particular up this way but as it turns out there are many more in the vicinity to keep us entertained for a few hours. The weather today was pleasant, not too hot and a little overcast for the most part.
'Ulolo Park' was our second find for the day. We calculated the numbers at WP1 but we didn't head straight off to GZ, instead we hung around this neat little park and had a kick of the footy. It was good fun and we ended up kicking for about an hour before making the call to head off and grab this cache.
We arrived at GZ (or close by) and made the trek up the rocks. We struggled to find anything obvious so we headed right to the top to take in the views for a moment before getting back to work.
Soon enough we spotted something likely and proceeded to sign the log, really enjoyed this one.
Thanks for the adventure Nilbog_Aus

Nice park, and I hope it stays that way. I'm glad I only had to find a sign rather than a nano, even still when I first entered co-ordinates I got something about 5 Km away! Looking at the instructions again I fixed my error and was shown GZ. Drove an parked nearby. Climbed up on top of GZ and saw there were many, many possible hiding spots. I bet everyone searches that first tree that looks like it would be ideal for hiding a cache Hunted around and then hit the logs for possible clues, more climbing around and found the cache. I can understand how some people may have trouble with this one.
Signed log and left a plastic monster guy. Nice rocks and view! Thanks for the cache Nilbog!

What an adventure! Started walking from wp1 but soon realised it was a good distance to gz so resorted to car. General location for gz was quickly identified but on closer inspection there are thousands of potential hiding spots. Perseverance and a clue from a previous log led us to the find. A tough introduction for geoWife but very rewarding find. TFTC
An enjoyable multi and a nice final location with parking nearby that we'd only been to a few minutes before! After the recent showers the rocks were pretty slippery & Mrs H nearly became a cropper but survived to tell the tale! TFTC Nilbog Aus

Was in the area as a taxi driver for a work colleague, they think I'm generous as last week I ducked out to Cecil Hills to drop another guy off. Had also anticipated to grab a few caches afterwards too.
Easily spotted the sign and with the notebook in hand, I proceeded to gather the info for the coords.
Drove down to find an empty parking spot nearby and a trad also. Quickly crossed this busy road and scaled the hill. Not too bad of a climb, reached the top and still a further 15m to go. Looked in a few obvious holes first then started on the outside of cliff but keeping a safe distance. Looked down to see a flat piece of sandstone that appeared to hover above something. Went to investigate what was making the rock hover and CIH when lifted it up and off. Nice view up here. TFTC

29/11/14. 2:58 PM. Cache #2037. Streak day #160. I was at Hornsby Westfield getting a couple of GCNSW t-shirts embroidered; they could do it same day but I had to come back in a couple of hours, so what else to do in the interim but duck out for a couple of caches? This was one of the nearest unfound to these shops. At WP1, getting out of the car to look at the Park Rules sign set off a couple of nearby dogs barking, so to restore the peace (and also because it was hot), I photographed the sign and went back to the car to calculate WP2 (GZ).
I then realised that I was going to end up quite close to another cache that I'd also planned to get this afternoon, so I headed to that one's parking spot to kill two birds with one stone. Luckily that parking area - with limited spots - was empty. I crossed the busy road and quickly spotted the likely feature that I would need to head towards. From here it was an easy ascent, although it got harder towards the top.
I'd already seen from past logs that this hadn't been found a while and there had been one recent DNF. Normally one DNF on its own wouldn't be enough to give me doubts (as to whether it was still here), but when that DNF comes from a cacher with as many finds as Everlasting, I wondered how I'd go.
Once up high, I circled at the top to look at a few spots but I was getting nowhere. At one stage I dropped my pen and had a heart-in-the-mouth climb down to get it. Coming back up, I saw a few other spots to check, but it still took several minutes until I finally did find it. Whew! I signed the log and took the TB & GC to drop off in tomorrow's GCNSW event. I descended, re-crossed the road and then headed off for the other cache there. TFTC }:)

Interesting story about the park and we loved the site of the cache - beautiful! Lots of nice swaps in there. We left a few too. Left 2 TBs that we picked up at the Fagan Park Geocache Event today. TFTC!
This year we have a long winter holiday when we are travelling in the Pacific. We are doing sightseeing and geocaching. Now we will spend a six week period in Australia where we will drive from Melbourne to Murray Bridge and then via Grampians to Canberra, Sidney and Brisbane.
After a night at a motel in Hornsby (not so nice) we started this morning with two multi-caches in Hornby Hights.
After our walk down to Frog Hollow we went to the starting coordinates for this multi. Information was collected and coordinates for final was ready. We took the car to the parking near GZ and then a climb. It was not easy to find the cache but it was finally found on a place where we already had looked.
Thanks for cache. Greetings from Sweden / Geparderna

Found waypoint 1 and clues months ago but decided to do Frog hollow 1st before hitting the cache but ran out of time so had to come back another time.
Hard going. Spent a lot of time looking around. We were about to give up when decided to have a last look and to trust the gps was accurate ( which it was). Bingo there it was, in a very hairy spot…and i don't mean vegetation wise.
This is a lovely cache. Well worth the effort. tftc.

Solved WP1 fairly quickly and when we realised where the final was, moved on to '#1 Frog Hollow' before finding the final.
It was great getting to the final and what a nice spot! The cache took a while to reveal itself, because reception wasn't great and there were so many spots a small cache could hide! Wanted to try something a little dangerous but geomum did not approve. Geodad ended up trying it but the cache was not there. After a bit more searching I came up with the goods - just as geomum contacted Tyreless for help!
Then signed, replaced, took some photos and left.
Thanks Nilbog Aus for a great cache - interesting story at WP1 and great area for the final.

It took me a mere 13 months to return for a second attempt at this cache Today I finally had the time and opportunity to come here again. I parked at the nearby spot and headed up, a bit unsure on my chances given I only had the iPhone, but I followed the arrow, and spotted a possible site from a particular angle, and when I carefully made my way to the spot (remembering, as per my earlier log, that I fear falling more than heights) found that it was indeed hiding a container. I signed the log, dropped a TB then headed back to my car, very satisfied with a well-spent 5 minutes. TFTC!
We soon had the numbers for GZ and drove off in that direction. After parking we headed over and up, and at GZ a peek through a gap showed me enough to sneak around a ledge next to a sheer drop and grab it. Very scary! Thanks for a really good multi, a favourite of mine because of the huge difference in difficulty between WP1 and GZ.
working today in Hornsby needing a calendar find looked at all my options and this one was selected as I have done all the other quick drive by caches. after getting the clues from wp1 headed for gz , made a quick find and on my way . nice little multi and park TFTC

I'm familiar with the are so we found WP1 quite easily. WP2 was at a fantastic spot and we found the cache after a few minutes scrambling around. The painted container gave us a little extra challenge as it camoflaged very well.

After trying this ages ago when there was a micro at the start and failing to find it, I came back for another look this afternoon. Solved the puzzle, and plotted the result. I knew where to park down there so headed off then over the road. Got to GZ, and checking the logs gave me a rough idea of where I needed to look and quickly had cache in hand. Nice views from here, thanks Nilbog_Aus.
Parked across the road from the sign and hopped out to take down the required info. Then it was back into the car to head along up the road. Parked at the lookout (not sure I was allowed - seems to be disabled only?) and headed off to the hunt. Checked the wrong side first as my rubbish map had the road in the wrong spot(!) and then crossed over and made the climb. Nearly over looked the hiding place, but luckily glanced back and spotted it. TFTC x
I visited WP1 a couple of weeks ago and picked up the required information. Today, I was in the area again so I went for the prize. I found the cache in a rather precipitous position and was not too comfortable extracting it. Nevertheless, it's a magnificent spot and a great hide. SL TFTC

Heading south after a week in the Great Lakes area. After a very late lunch in the park we collected the information and set off for the GZ. After a rock scramble and a quick search the log was signed. This must be the greatest contrast in terrain that we've yet experienced.
Out thanks to the local residents (including the Nilbogs) who got together to "Save Ulolo Park" and keep this piece of greenery from townhouse development - well done.

I had visited the park a few weeks ago with my son and dogs, where we got all the relevant info for WP2, but I decided it was too much for them. Today I headed over to the co-ords, parking in the convenient spot, and climbed the rocks. The GPS was showing that GZ was over the cliff, which was echoed by some of the logs, so I decided not to risk life 'n limb for a smiley (I'm not so much scared of heights as falling!)
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
Glad to get here before dark! I wouldn't do it at night... Quick at WP1, and off to WP2. At GZ the GPS was a little flustered, but soon settled and came up with the find. A good lot of fun, once again
We had time for just one more today and being a multi without too many steps we settle for this one. Parked onthe main road, wandered over and soon had the co-ords for WP2. As we headed off to GZ we tought we here off to almost the last cache we did however we kept to the road for longer and got a parking spot with only 50m to go. The GPSr took a little while to make up its mind but once settled we found GZ, SL and replaced

Hooray! Tried this one in 2009 with no luck. WP1 had gone missing. Never managed to return until today. This time I brought 2 muggle friends and we christened ourselves the "Three Bs". We might become a group within a group. I thought we would start the day with an easy find. It turned out to take up the bulk of our time. We returned from our walk having cleared the cobwebs in our heads, got the blood pumping through our veins, and with a sense of achievement as we finally located the elusive cache. TFTC.
First ever geocache, so stubborness won over an initial inablity to locate the cache. Made for an interesting hour or two by bicycle. GPS indication was within two meters of the stash.
WP2 is quite a mysterious place. Not a cache for geokids or night hunts. TNLN Thanx.
I liked the simple WP1 deduction before moving on to GZ where there was a burnt out car, I actually bumped in to the owners who stated the vehicle was only stolen the night before. None the less left with my car intact. TFTC
Thanks Nilbogs, nice one. Cache has withstood the rains well. A couple of kilted gents across from the cache practicing the bagpipes. Bit odd as geocaching soundtracks go. TNLNSL.
Since the days are becoming a bit longer now that spring has arrived, I decided not to wait until Friday, and straight after finishing work I drove up Galston Gorge to little Ulolo Park in Hornsby Heights. I was excited to see the new 'clue sign' and finally put this nearby geocache to rest. I had visited twice before during 2010, and logged DNFs. I now know that I was searching for a WP1 that had been muggled!
The new 'clue sign' system is pretty easy to work out. And it can't be muggled. But I never realised that there were so many things you weren't allowed to do in a park!
Anyhow, leaving criminality aside, I decided that WP2/GZ was close enough to make by nightfall, so I set out to find the cache with continuing enthusiasm. As it turned out, I already knew the spot and arrived there just at dusk, not even changing out of my loafers. This proved to be a poor decision, because some rock climbing is involved, over a short distance, to reach GZ. And the hiding place of the geocache sure isn't for the faint-hearted. Acrophobiacs beware! There was enough daylight left for me to conclude: 'This isn't one you should try at night!'
So don't take the geokids along for this one unless you keep them under careful supervision. And let one athletic adult do the cache retrieval formalities. The hiding place is right on the edge of a cliff, involves a short climb down, and there's a substantial drop below. I'm a reasonably fit old guy and did it wearing loafers, but it's risky -- one of the more challenging retrievals I've attempted outside of the Blue Mountains.
The cache container was in good condition and the contents were just fine. The published coordinates seemed quite accurate. TNLNSL.
Many thanks to Mr, Mrs & Little Miss Nilbog_Aus for re-establishing this one. Much appreciated. I had an adventure!

WP1 is gone....had a good search yesterday...will be doing an interim offset fix on this one tonight...til a new place can be found to hide WP1. WP2 is in tact and sitting there nicely...but probably still a little hard to find without WP1
Great to hear this news! Will drive up to WP1 during my lunch hour as soon as it's back in place. My place of work is quite close to Galston Gorge.
Tried ever so hard to locate the nano in the first part of this cache but alas had no luck!!
Will be checking this one...to sort out WP1 and we think also needing to sort out WP2 (though surprised about losing that one!!) given the logs.
Will check this one out...this is very close to our house - but the arrival of a baby Nilbog in a few days may delay the repair!! Will try and head out today...at least to confirm WP1. Will get Mr Nilbog (non-pregnant) to check WP2 as that one is a bit more treacherous!!
On my way back from enjoying an alfresco meal at the Dogs' 'Under Pressure' cache, I decided to stop at nearby Ulolo Park again for one last try. Hoping against hope after my previous rather comprehensive search, I went over old ground very carefully and spiraled out from GZ to investigate other possibilities. All in vain! Twas not to be . . . I spotted an old piece of string high up, out of reach, and a large box of wet matches -- but that was all. Until I see a 'found' log or hear from the CO I think I'll wait on this one.
Had a good, long look for the WP1 nano -- but in vain. I got to know one particular 'natural feature' quite intimately, and did everything except climb it! No-one bothered me during my lunch break, little Ulolo Park was completely deserted, the rain held off, and I wasn't in any hurry. I even checked a few other 'natural features' just in case . . . Anyhow, I may just be a bit stupid -- since others found WP1 so easily, especially since the Park was cleared -- but there's a nagging doubt in my mind about possible . . . 'muggling' . . . Will check with the COs and see what they think.
