Cache now about 3 metres from road. PLaced two big stones over top. Shoul be easy to find now
Had a hunt for this on the way to Rotorua but could not find it after a 30min search. Was going to have another stab at this on the way bak but it was 10pm then.
Talk about fallout!! I didn't bother looking too hard, after counting 6 possums and 3 magpies, in very close proximity to GZ, the smell was quite overpowering. I'll be back another time.
Stopped by on my way North today. Wandered in circles to start with looking for landmarks in the hint, but eventually stopped to read the description properly. I can confirm there is no sign of either now! Started again and found the cache fairly quickly after reading the instructions properly.

Seventh of 13 finds on a day long drive from home to Te Puke. Quick find TFTC, started scratching around a couple of metres away, but suddenly it was obvious.

This took a bit of finding but got there in the end. Well camouflaged. TFTC.

quick find after camping with family wrecked by yahoos in cars and bikes all night used to be primo family camp spot now seems to be hang out for dick heads nearly ran us over while showing my 4 year old the glow worms at night
Now that the GirlGuidingNZ Jamboree is finished and I'm heading home, have time to do some caches along the way but not as many as I would like. Deviated here as it sounded quite an interesting location - lovely bit of bush area and fantastic camping spot but not for me this time as lots of muggles around. Two drove in while I was looking for cache. Found it easily but outer layer is very wet and contents dry. TFTC - Kiwicampnut
Excellent hide but we sniffed it out pretty quickly. Quite a few muggles camping in the reserve TFTC.
Stopped in on the way home to palmy from Rotorua for this one. Took us a while with the gps coordinates but the description and hint helped. Thanks for this cleverly hidden cache and for the geocoin! Placed a couple of extra swaps in here too. Nice find for Braiden this time!
Easy find and perfect time to stretch the legs a bit. Did not have time to investigate the area. TFTH!
Had been here previously and looked with no success. Today it was very much out in the open so rehid a little better. TFTC
Been past here lots knew there had to be a cache here somewhere had time to stop and look this time.

We found this pretty quickly (lol, in the dark too. So I'm very proud of us *grins*)
We had to make it look a bit more naturally covered up though.

2.20pm - Cache is wet, put a new log sheet in container and put wet log into plastic bag for owner. SLTFTC
The extra directions helped in the locating of this one - or maybe it was just the randomness of the boys search - but we had it and picked up the TB and another coin - not a geo - so will look into that one. Will have to check this spot out another day. TFTC
Finally found this one on the third attempt. Logbook was saturated (sorry I didn't have a spare one with me, will try to replace next time I'm passing through)TFTC P&P
Quick find on a damp day. As others have indicated, the cache contents and log are quite damp.
Good excuse to stop to let the dog out for a run on way home from SAR dog assessment camp in Waiouru. Years since I have been in here. Still a lovely spot although people are pigs with their rubbish. Easy find. Covered but would have been less obvious uncovered!
Was hard to find but eventually found some suspicious looking rock formations. Needs new log book as container is no longer waterproof. Good fun .
Haha had to read the instructions. Good fine. Cache is very wet and log book needs replacing. Container appears to now leak.
Making our way back to Auckland after an extended Easter break in Blenheim visiting family. Had to make a slight detour for this cache, as it qualifies for 'New Zealand's Loneliest Cache Challenge'. Followed the instructions and made a quick find. Looks like a lovely (and popular) reserve. Thanks.

#1099 Quick find on our homeward journey sadly from Easter in the Sth Is. This spot was a nice surprise, would like to visit again in better weather. Glad we turned off the main road for this one. SL. TFTC.
Find #532. Our penultimate (number eight) find for the day on a bit of a detour as we cached our way back to Wellington from a four day holiday in Ohakune. Why is this place called Vinegar Hill? How did it get that name? Did the views ‘taste’ horrible?
No worries however – we initially were confused by the hint, but reread the description which soon provided accurate directions for the cache, as our Garmin jumped all over the place (GPS hole?) Nice quick find, even though it looked like a rock in its camo bag and we passed over it twice before! SL TFTC.

2nd time lucky - we looked for this about a year ago with no luck, but a quick find this time cache a bit wet inside, but log nice and dry. There was an active wasp nest nearby, but tried not to annoy them and they left us alone.
Our 6th cache of the day while returning home from holidays. What a beautiful camp site. Thanks.

[398] Diverted off SH1 to have a picnic lunch at the domain and really enjoyed the place - Heaps of people camping out here and doing it "Kiwi-style" Found cache as per the instructions, SLTNLN, T4TC!
Found quickly due to the good description. Left TB. I'm really happy to see such camp grounds every now and then.
Greetings, chilifarmer
P.s.TB wants to visit Mount Ngauruhoe.

On way home from Auckland so did a detour via vinegar hill to retreive a couple of caches. Parked at entrance, paced out the steps and did a quick find. Caches was a little damp and dirty but log was safe. Took nothing, left nothing, Signed Log. TFTC
Did a small diversion on the way back to Wellington this afternoon to get this one. Found quickly thanks to the very explicit instructions. Have been meaning for a long time to go and hunt out this cache, it has taken several years before I eventually got around to it.. Signed log, TFTC.
Well it would have been rather embarrassing not to find this one with all the information that’s given. Cache was a bit exposed so covered it ever so slightly before leaving. Well worth the short detour off the main highway. TNLN TFTC
2.35pm. Heading north toward Auckland finding caches between the showers! Timed this one right. Nice reserve.

This took awhile to find. Tried without the hint because we didn't think we had the hint with us. Located as it was getting dark. Great place. TFTC
Helpful directions, on a cold and damp day that didn't invite lingering. Took pet rock; left coin.
Today has been the best day weather-wise this winter. Beautiful blue skies and warm and dry - a great day for caching.
First find of the day and a nice quick one thanks to the excellent description.

Another lovely part of the country that we may have otherwise missed. TNLN, SL, TFTC
Camped up the road but next time might make this the spot. Cache zone showed signs of cachers but the cache was very well hidden. In stamper out nil.
found it with a little searching. Great camo bag- blends in nicely. Lots of muggles around this area!
Swapped a pet rock - a meercat, for a small cube puzzle. TFTC

Drove past on the way north, but the nearby security guards policing civilised parties in the campground put me off a search. The campground is packed (New Year's Eve), looks a great place to stay when it is a bit quieter.
On our way back south we stopped to get this and found without too much trouble. Many of the campers were starting to head off.
Took bracelet and 10c
Left pig and torch.

1425 Nice quick fine, loved the container cover, blends nicely. Looks like a very poplular camping spot. Must return another day when we can stay over. TFTC
Found quite quickly, then had a drive through to the camping ground - quite a few campers there. Took "A cache a Day Apple" geocoin. TFTC
Nice spot. A couple of muggle vehicles came by but I don't think they even noticed us. Had a bit of a look around the campsite afterwards, lots of people already there for the holiday season. TFTC
Found on our way north. Nice spot for the cache and would come back to stay in the camp site.

Dropped by to check our cache. Area looked well raked over, will we find it? YES. Cache found in seconds, exactly where we left it, great to hear that familiar tap on plastic sound. Have made it slightly easier to find, please try not to bury it too much. The camo colour does blend in very well!
CACHE IS STILL THERE.....waiting to be found.

Alluded the team this time! Area is certainly well trampled. Will have to attempt next time through.
This is not the first time I have attempted this cache and it seems it have evaded my detection yet again.
we wee returning today from a trip to Wellington. On the outward bound leg we had stopped to check the Small but Precious earthcache then stopped at Vinegar Hill reserve for lunch. we were preoccupied discussing the questions relating to the earthcache so I was abit annoyed to find I had been so close to this location and had not looked at the GPSr!
So today,in spite of a late start to our journey and a rushed trip through to Auckland, I diverted off HW1 to seek this cache.
It was Easter Sunday today and I had to hide as several cars drove past but after 5 minutes the mission was accomplished.

The geocaching function on the Colorado had gone haywire so had to resort to using the Geocaching function on the Iphone for the details.
Worked a treat. The clue didnt quite make it for me but we got there in the end.
Nice one thanks

This was our final cache on our road trip and our lovely holiday North at the Central North Island, we met some great people and enjoyed some great company and finally completed one of the greatest walks in New Zealand – The Tongariro Crossing, was a really a great week, this was our return visit to find this cache after being advised that the cache was still there by the owners, this time it only took us a few seconds and bingo!!!! We found it, like always the only spot that you don’t check, COOL, went for a quiet look around the rest of this park, didn’t realise it was so big, thanks for bring us here- HOME TIME, TFTC TNLNSL (659)
Fairly quick find where a stump obviously used to be, but is no more. Nicely camoed, almost missed it. TFTC!!!
DNF, had a good look around, took the hint searched around found a few likely spots but still no sign at GZ, got GZ down to 3 metres found what look liked the likely spot but saw that it was all broken up but nosign of a stump at the GZ.
Needed the clue, when we read it we thought uh oh - we could see where one of the things it talked about had been but that was about it. To our surprise the cache ended up being right where the clue said it would be.
Think I logged it as Ceeg, Keith, Mat and Harley.

Found on the way back North. GZ is quite monstered - sorry to see, doesn't need that much destruction to find a cache. Great reserve if you needed a place to camp though. TFTC
Found this while camping at V-hill. What an awesome place. Been there for two New Year's. Intend on going for many more!
