### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

Hi there SA_ParrotHead,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Beautiful winters day out exploring around Swan Reach with iluvtrekking. Pretty spot, can imagine it is very busy in warmer months. Thanks for the hide.
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Ticked off another leg of the "On Your Bike" series along with a few others along our route, this being one of them. Thanks for the cache.

** GENERIC LOG**
Hopefully the final wander of the befuddled to attack the monstrous On You Bike Series. A triumphant day for us finally finishing all of the offering. The usual Rat, Adder and Starfish were once again joined by sir Astro to collect not only the last of the series but a few stragglers to break up the monotony.
This was another of the stragglers, Google maps showed a track that may be drivable to GZ but reality was different. A pleasant walk taking in the history of the nearby site.
This does need maintenance though, the container is brittle and has holes so needs replacing.
Each and every cache was visited and stamped by every member of the group. There was no group stamp used neither was there any bunny hopping involved. Each member took turns at scaling the ladder where needed to access the hide however there were very few of these challenges in today's venture. It is how we play though.
All caches were found in good condition with only a few that needed more searching to find.

The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle solving group had us heading once again towards Swan Reach in search of the last 50 or so new additions to the ever growing On Your Bike Series. Today it was myself, Blackadders, SA Sewer Rats and Astro. [:o)] Lots of hours doing jigsaws in preparation for today and we found all of the new additions to this series including perhaps a strange First to Find which had a blank log book but had previously been claimed. What can I say - we took turns climbing ladders and trees so everyone joined in the fun.
GENERIC LOGS unless something unusual : here!
Heading to start the OYB we made a little detour and ended up here at Big Bend. A shortish but painful walk to GZ as I had a very bruised tow from dropping a pallet on it a few days ago and we arrived at the monuments. Interesting. Another short limp to GZ where we made a quick find. Oh dear, the container has succumbed to UV cancer and has a few holes. Likewise so does the plastic bag. But the log was dry-ish so we added our stamps and returned it to the hide with the holes downwards. *** but it needs some TLC before winter. ***
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks SA_ParrotHead for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Woo hoo it's Wednesday wander time.
Three Geo animals and a Starman met at Sedan.
Our plan for today was to finish the OYB series.
We decided to do a few other caches before we started.
Parked the geo mobile and went for a walk.
Quickly found the cache.
Cache needs some attention, as the container has holes and bag has holes.
Stamped the logbook and replaced the container. Tftc

TFTC. We needed a change from the Powertrail that was On YourBike. We parted company with the other 4 teams and continued along the Murray River with muff1. We were astounded by rage scenery on the Murray. We used caching as our travel guide through Nilkdottie and Walkers Flat before heading back to camp in Sedan.
We needed a change from the On Your Bike series so Hans and Linda and ourselves headed off to do a little sight seeing using caching as our guide. We enjoyed this drive around the area. SL TFTC
After a very pleasant night camping nearby we packed up ready to head home, with caching planned on the way.
An easy walk to GZ.
Great views of the river cliffs from here.

As I was going to kayak down the river with the blow up I carried it down here to launch and stopped by this cache along the way.
Cache is all good
Today I headed to the Murray flats to collect a few caches around the place, including the remains of the fruit trail and an FTF at swan reach. All up 31 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

Treed it but did not see the plaque. Was in a hurry with Neville waiting in Dot on the river. Tftc
Boy did I misinterpret the name of this geocache. Prior to reading the cache description, I had assumed this cache referred to either Hindu deities, Yoga or maybe the Kama Sutra. On my walk to the geocache I read through the description, and was duly corrected. I was very pleased to find such a significant site in such a good state, and left undisturbed.
I found the cache out in the open, about a metre from the base of the tree. I signed the log and added a pathtag for the next finder. The cache is now closer to where the hint indicates and has some natural covering over it.
Thanks SA_ParrotHead.

LiB and I were on our way to Swan Reach for this evening's event...
Of course we had to make a few detours & stops along the way...
We took the short pleasant walk and found the first plaque...
The Midden Site is interesting...I know of some in the South East...
The other sign we could not get to as the area has been fenced for revegetation...
The cliffs here are amazing...
Thanks for showing us this lovely spot SA_Parrothead

I took the drive out to The Big Bend today
I've only ever seen this spot from the river,
so I was surprised to see such a good camping area near the shacks.
Better yet was the closed off area where the cache is hidden near the midden.
A very scenic stroll beside the mighty Murray with a great view of the cliffs across the way
Hundreds of sulfur crested cockys to be seen sitting in the holes of the cliffs here !!
It's a cockatoo apartment block !! [:o]
The midden was passed by,
and a stroll around nearby,
found me the cache

Made a mental note that this great section of the river would make a very nice campsite... may have to return for a relaxing holiday one day. Thanks for the cache SA_Parrothead!
Ruff_Ruff, Janet, and Brad have been staying at Punyelroo Caravan Patk for the last few days. Getting used to the new caravan and exploring the area. Today we went to Big Bend.
Of course while we were there Ruff_Ruff wanted to find SA_Parrothead’s 50th cache. Which he did
Brad and Janet enjoyed the views and seeing and reading about the Aboriginal midden. It is clearly more extensive than the fenced off area at the sign as we saw many white old shells further to the East.
Unfortunately we could not get to the Veenstra plaque or the hexagonal structure as they are now behind a sturdy barbed wire fence with signs making it clear we would not be welcome to cross the fence line. I suspect a local farmer is not keen on tourists.
We saw lots of birds including at least three different raptors. We kept a close watch on them and on Ruff_Ruff as from the air he must look very similar to a small lamb!
On the way out we met some twitchers with long lenses and binoculars. They may not have been local as they asked us what one of the raptors were. Brad summoned his extensive bird-watching experience and replied “I think they are birds”.
Janet got some great photos.
Ruff_Ruff just sniffed everything. And then sniffed it again. He was in scent heaven but shattered by the end of the day.
Brad found thorny acacias and bled. He does that.
Thanks very much for bringing us here SA_Parrothead. Worth a fave

Found this cache on an fantastic boating/caching weekend at Younghusband with weredunn4, Hurtle, Cache_Or_Check, Malco and Four-Fun. The puzzles are in the bag, the life jackets were on and the lunch was packed. The were laughs, ducks watching, wind, a bit of driving rain and there was blood on most people. A few caches proved elusive but we got them on our way back.
This one was found then we launched the boat to the big bearded mexican one.
Clear skies!
Camped nearby with geokid for a couple days. Great spot. Lots of fish and awesome scenery. The area sure has changed since I was last there as a kid. Thanks for the cache.
Heading back to Adelaide for an appointment,
we had to take the scenic route for a change!
Somehow the map had followed some little green boxes,
and yours was one of them!!!
This took us a little around the bend, where we had to bend over
to dig up a cache! Pretty well buried. Great views on the walk here though

Headed out today towards the riverland. Only made it to the nearby Big Bend campsite for this week.
What a great spot, hoping to get out our inflatable 2man boat to tackle the nearby 4 1/2* cache in the coming week.
Drove the car up to the holiday homes then walked in from there. What a shame the other memorial and all that lovely area is fenced off.
Loved this spot and took loads of photos including a flock of Pelicans watching us from the river.

So The family and I were camping at Swan Reach again and i wanted to explore the area more and what better way then to go geocaching. I would not have even known i could have gone down this road which is why this area is still so pretty and tranquil.
My father came for a walk on this one as well, his second cache.

Doing some work on one of the shacks nearby so couldn't resist grabbing the nearby cache. Should have read the previous log as when I got to GZ I discovered there was no pencil and in my hast to get to GZ I had forgotten one as well. Managed to SL with the aid of some charcoal I found nearby. A bit unconventional but did the job. TFTC SA ParrotHead
Restricted access had us walking the last 400m. The day had turned from warm to cool and windy by the time we reached this area, so the walk was quite pleasant [^].
Emptied 1/2" of Coke coloured water out of the cache container [B)], but the logbook bag did its job and were able to sign it without any problems .

Zak Power Team (consisting of 1 x Adult and 1 x geokid this time round) on a all day 248km cache hunt.
We are trying to rack up our first 50 caches.
A day of mixed results with problems from mega amounts of muggles
which required abandoning cache finds to dealing with several brown
snakes (the largest about 1.5m), flies, more muggles, flies, bearded
dragons ….oh did I mention flies.
The views were great and the caches with a story behind them make the journey very interesting.

This cache was definitely worth the short detour we took to pick it up. Walking along the river with the early morning sun reflecting off the red cliffs was absolutely stunning.
We used to find a lot of these midden's in our gold prospecting days, this is the first one that we have seen protected. It seems that the cairn erected not far from gz is also protected as it has a fence around it and no access signs.
The cache was found quickly but there is no sign of the geocoin nor a pen to sign the log which we also forgot to take with us so we could only use our stamp
Thanks SA_ParrotHead for the cache and for bringing us to this great part of the river
We used to find a lot of these midden's in our gold prospecting days, this is the first one that we have seen protected. It seems that the cairn erected not far from gz is also protected as it has a fence around it and no access signs.

This ended up being my last cache for the day and it couldn't have been at a nicer spot. Another one of those gems you wouldn't know about without geocaching. Sadly both areas are fenced off now, but it's still a lovely place. A luxurious houseboat was moored right at the sandy cove less than 50m from the cache! Cache #321.
Could the next finder confirm whether the Geocoin is in the cache.
A little surprised that it has been here since April and the previous three or four finders haven't moved it on.

Found the cache... Oh so beautiful - I wish I could stay for overnight. Enjoyed wander around the bank/history. Left: Breaking Down the Wall LE Geocoin. Thanks SA-Parrothead for organising the cache and hunt.
Camped nearby last night and ventured to the cache after packing up. No night time caching for us. Never fear we will return. With the kayak for the other cache.
I did venture across the fence to check out the other plaque and the strange building. Secret business. Scared the crap out of a rabbit.

Wasn’t able to read the European contribution to this area as the monument was fenced off with signs saying ‘bugger off!†(or words to that effect [^] )
Found the cache quickly after a short walk, but made no swaps. The cliffs certainly take on a more impressive sight when viewed from this angle, and I can now appreciate that I was never going to get “Big Bend Bearded Victorian†by approaching from above (as I tried to some years ago )
Cheers, mate
